    Superior Interiors
Jon and his brother Steve painted the entire interior of my house and actually made it a pleasurable experience. They did a meticulous job and obviously take great pride in their work. I was thrilled with the result. They were careful to with consult me every step of the way, communicated well, and stuck to their time and money estimates. Their price was very reasonable and overall I couldn't be happier. And they were great fun to have around!

Cape Home Remodel - Basement Concepts
After using several contractors over the years, I found Cape Home Remodel to be very professional, responsive and they exceeded our expectations. Jeff, the owner, was always there to offer his expert advice along the way. He answered my calls, emails and text messages promptly. His team performed the work accurately and masterfully. We had electrical, plumbing, tile and painting done in our home. I can strongly recommend this company as I would definitely use there services again should the occasion arise.

    IKITCHENS ETC LLC
Working with iKitchens Etc was extraordinary. I know on one level that they are busy, and yet our experience was that we never had a hint that we weren't their only customer. From our perspective, the world centered on us, the team arrived every day on schedule, we could set our clocks by them and their work was meticulous.

Design phase: I had specific ideas about what I wanted but difficulty explaining it. Lou Ann was able to design a perfect suite of the Ikea cabinets I wanted and build in the right type of drawers in the right spots so everything is very easy to use, well lit and spacious. I trusted her experience in materials and design on a lot of things like lighting, plumbing fixtures in kitchen and bath, advice on flooring and counter, etc. and am very happy with her selections.

Demolition phase: We had a wall taken down, carpet and vinyl flooring removed, old cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, appliances and a gas fireplace removed and hauled away. It was noisey, but their plastic barrier wall held up and we suffered no dust issues. They vacuumed well daily and kept a clean job site. Every evening as they left, we were left with a safe and clean first floor site. The outdoor area around their hauler was neat and we had no complaints from our neighbors.

Building phase: Throughout, the carpenters, plumber, electrician and painter were very skilled and professional. We did run into some surprises: They found very uneven floor joists and had to take up bad underflooring then sister the joists throughout to make a flat underfloor for our new wood flooring. Also, after taking out the old gas fireplace we found the old chimney chase was leaking and we had to have roofing done (not by iKitchens, though they did coordinate and worked along on other things while waiting for roofing to complete. Because they were able to adjust and work on other parts of the project while waiting for roofers, we stayed on schedule despite having to do a lot of unanticipated joist work and arrange for a new roof.
At certain points we turned to the lead carpenter for a little artistic work, asking him to put together boards for the woodwork around our doors to match what I found in a photo - and are extremely happy with what he came up with. His skilled solutions and eye for design were perfect for our project.
The first part of thenkitchen I knew I had to have was a specific artsy stained glass tile for the backsplash. The tiles weren't consistent, would show any bubble that might be behind them and wouldn't be easy to install, but sometimes you just fall in love with a design. iKitchens has meticulous master tilers who installed those tiles so well they make my heart sing every time I walk in the door.

Communication and scheduling: The project manager planned out and tracked the schedule, decisions, conversations all in a central system which we had login access to online. We could and did reach out with any questions or requests through this system and always got a good answer or solution quickly. They also answered phones or returned all calls promptly. The onsite workers arrived early and reached the day's goal, we knew exactly what to expect for the coming week and while they were able to flex plans if we needed they stuck to schedule and met every goal. The office stays on top of every small detail, all we had to do was choose material and write checks. Easy!

It was a long 10 weeks but I'd do it again easily and wouldn't change anything - especially our choice to bring in iKitchens.

    Capizzi Home Improvement
In the fall of 2014 I started conversations with Capizzi and one other contractor about tearing out my 28 year old kitchen and doing a complete remodel.  The project would be for demo of old kitchen, new cabinets, floor tiles, tiled backsplash, granite counter top, painted walls, and installation of new appliances, along with associated plumbing, and electrical work.  After a lack of follow up and communication from the other bidder I continued my discussions with Capizzi.  The sales contact, Doug, and kitchen designer Betsy met with me a few times and were always very professional and helpful.  I knew that the Capizzi bid would be higher than others, they being a large general contractor on Cape Cod, but I decided the cost trade off had value.  Despite some negative reviews, which will always be the case  with a larger contractor, Capizzi has been in business many years and has a generally good reputation on the Cape.  For example, I initiated contact with another large contractor, referred by a friend of mine , several months prior to meeting with Capizzi.  I indicated that I intended to budget $100,000 for some remodeling I was planning.  I never got one phone call or email!  If my job was considered too small for this firm or they had a huge backlog of projects, etc. then at least spend a minute of time communicating that to me.  But I got zero response!  Another contractor I talked to declined doing any work explaining that he was building his own home and would not get to my work for at least 9-12 months!  The supply-demand economic cycle has been surely favorable to the Cape's construction and remodeling industry for a few years now.  At least Capizzi will respond and bid on any job and they seem to really care about their reputation which in my experience has not been the case with too many contractors on Cape Cod.  So I signed a contract with Capizzi and they followed through on it.  They started the job about when they said they would, and the project manager Gary was professional and always available if I needed to discuss an issue.  The carpenter, Jimmy, was excellent and impresssed me with his attention to detail and the pride he took in making sure everything looked perfect.  He installed the cabinets, did the floor tile, and backsplash.  All perfect!!  The electrical and plumbing subs were on time and did an excellent job as well.  The project was completed in the estimated amount of time.  Overall, it was worth the added money for a general to run this job.  I knew I could have done the kitchen for less money doing some work myself and hiring out to subs, but I decided I did not want the aggravation and hassle of dealing with that process.

    Schmidt Painting
They were absolutely fabulous. They had the whole thing done in a day. I never thought they would do that, and the quality was excellent. There was not a drip of paint anywhere. They're coming back in a few weeks to do another room. They were just marvelous.

Derrick and crew did a wonderful job. Removed wallpaper, prepped, and painted walls, lot's of trim and railings throughout house, skylights.... They were efficient, thorough, careful and friendly. On inspection, a few defects were noted and addressed the next day with the same great service and attitude.

    BLUEBOARD SPECIALISTS PLASTERING
We called this company and left a message. Tim called back the same day and told us he could come and look at the job in 45 minutes. We told him that was not convenient. He said he would call back and never did! My way or the highway??

    RED RIVER PAINTING
They came and gave me an estimate. The owner was very nice and polite. I did not use them because the price was way too low for me to expect that they would do the kind of job that we wanted. Also the owner worked alone and I was uncomfortable about that. It would have taken a long time and I was afraid that if there was an accident and I was not at home he could have been in serious trouble
