    We have worked with Sila for many years. They installed 2 hot air gas furnaces at my South Boston rental property a few years ago. They have serviced 4 systems each year. Last month, they installed 2 new gas furnaces. The sales rep was great to work with and gave us a substantial credit to make the numbers work for us to install the 2 systems. The team of 7 arrived early the next day, installed each system, then an inspection by the lead tech was done after that. The job was done in one day. Everyone was and always is very professional and very good to work with. They do the job and clean up after. They provide 24 hour service which I need having a rental property. They are reliable and I can always get someone to go out to the house no matter what time it is. They always call you right back when calling after hours. The prices may seem a bit higher than other companies for emergency or any service but it's well worth it because they respond and show up. They also offer many specials for tune ups, plumbing, etc. I highly recommend Sila for any of your heating, air conditioning, and plumbing needs.

    I had requested a quote and got an email wanting me to call them to discuss my project, that was the only communication I received. After two weeks I called them and got a quote which was higher than I wanted to pay, I passed.

    Our central air unit died and we called Sila due to the good reviews. Turns out they won���t install a new AC unit if the furnace is more than 10 years old (ours was). So we had to do both at once (ouch). They started off quoting us $11k over the phone, then it jumped up to $16 when they saw our system in person. (1950 sq foot house). Finally they came back with $13k for the cheapest system in our size range. Overall I think we really overpaid and it left a bad taste in my mouth. That said, Sila gets an A+ for availability and service. They came and installed next day which was essential because we have a young child and it was over 90 degrees that week. Actual installation was great. System works well. Next time I���ll anticipate a system replacement before we get to an emergency situation. I think this could have been done for thousands cheaper, on a longer timeline.

There was a little bit of complication in wiring the outdoor unit to the panel but the crew worked diligently to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. The company even took care of filling all the rebates and warranty on my behalf. Outstanding service!

    I asked for a price quote to insulate an air duct on my forced hot air system. I was told that I would be charged $89 just for them to come out to look at it plus an additional $35 charge per 1/2 hour that they spent there. It would have cost me a minimum of $125 just to get a quote. Seems to be a very arrogant way to run a business. Business development is usually the cost of doing business. They didn't get mine. I found someone to come out and give me a very reasonable quote without charging me for it.

    Their tech came back on Dec 12. I called later that week for a follow up and was told the invoice would go out in a few days. I've called at least once a week since then, and been continually told that it was coming. Last week I was told that they couldn't find anything in the system and they would have to check with the tech and call me back. No callback. I called again today and was told that NO REPAIR WAS DONE because they apparently needed an electrician. It's January 12 - it's been a MONTH of phone calls. Supposedly the tech who did the work is going to call me back with more details. I highly doubt I'll hear from him. No one has ever called me back. Their front desk people are also rude and unhelpful. I'm disgusted. Hohmann used to be my go-to company, but I'm never using them again.

    They failed to fill up our tank despite being on an autofill program. We ran out of propane Christmas Eve. We called immediately, were given the run around, finally told late in the day that no one would deliver to us until the next morning. Christmas morning - no delivery. Called repeatedly, told someone would call us back, no one did. Finally received a delivery at around 5pm Christmas night. Then offered $25 off our $400+ bill for our inconvenience. Didn't even come close to covering what I spent on space heaters to keep my young kids warm.

    There were a few possible causes for the observed problem. They worked hard to keep the price down as much as possible, and focused on fixing the cheapest and most probable causes first. In the end, the were able to find all the culprits. The boiler is now running very happily, just in time for winter!
