The project went great. Mr. Tanguy was a pleasure to work with, and was always responsive to our needs and requests for last minute changes. The work went quickly, with sub-contractors scheduled without delays. The quality of the work was excellent. We would definitely recommend All Pro Builders

    Bertola Custom Homes & Remodeling
It went well! This is the second time we've used Bertola homes, and will use them again to do our kitchen remodel. Joe is more than a contractor, he's a designer! We were not happy with the original architect design, and Joe completely reworked it to give us something that we truely wanted, and gave us more home equity. I feel like he saved us! Super hero Joe (lol). The team is very polite, keep a clean construction site, and their work is high quality. The project manager was very responsive. He wasn't always at the site, but came to check in everyday. When mistakes were made, they were corrected quickly with no extra cost to us. Joe has beautiful (expensive) taste, but he worked with us to stay on budget without having to compromise quality. We did go over a little, but considering the size of the renovation and the fact that we added to the scope, it wasn't an unreasonable amount. I don't think we could have found a better contractor!

    iCornerstone, Inc.
Many years ago, my husband and I hired a general contractor to build a one story in-law apartment four our daughter and her family, and the experience was a disaster. We worried about a repeat when our home was extensively damaged by the record snowfall of 2014-2105. The insurance company required us to gut the kitchen and bathroom and replace everything except the cabinets. Through Angie's List, we found an alternative to a GC, a company that placed us in charge of the project in a way that gave us control over all decisions regarding products, labor, schedule, and scope. The president of the company, iCornerstone, is Richard Connolly, and we hired him to develop designs and labor and material specifications, submit them for competitive bids, establish the project cost and timelines, and coordinate the work once construction began. Richard's services rely heavily on a computer for communication and documentation, and we had almost no experience with technology. With his steady guidance and coaching, we managed fairly well. It was easy to access all the specifications, designs, and progress pictures Richard posted to DropBox, and his daily project updates or phone calls kept us in the know. At first, we were hesitant to be the GC because we are retired, on fixed income, and in our mid-seventies, but Richard was by our side every step of the way. I am very much hands-on, and Richard encouraged my active participation. A GC would provably accuse me of micro-managing or being difficult to work with. We could have hired anyone or purchased materials anywhere but decided to use the network of resources Richard referred to us. The workmanship of the subcontractors was excellent, but two had to be prodded to provide invoices. It was frustrating because the insurance company required evidence of payment before our settlement could be released, and the clock was winding down. Richard helped us resolve the situation by providing the insurance company with detailed costs for the project, which was done in two phases and included work beyond our claim. He persuaded the company to increase its estimate of the insulation costs because the building code would not allow us to replace the original fiberglass batts. Everything Richard said he would do, he did, which was not always the case with the plumbing company and the vanity and countertop supplier, especially when it came to the schedule or accommodating changes I wanted. Richard volunteered to cut sink holes in the bathroom vanities and kitchen counter tops to help the plumber and avoid delays or inconvenience to us. He even made, installed, and painted adjustable shelving in a closet and never charged for any physical work he did. Despite a few issues, I am thrilled with the result, and the project did not go over budget. The time it took was another matter, and one delay was at our request while others were caused by some contractors being unavailable when we needed them. Our space is beautiful and inviting, and Richard's suggestion that we raise the low kitchen ceiling to create a cathedral ceiling changed the overall feeling of the room. I cannot imagine a more ethical, professional, and cost-effective solution than iCornerstone and highly recommend Richard. We saw firsthand his commitment to us, love for his work, and passion for his company.

    KNEELAND CONSTRUCTION CO
Very well.  They started May 2012 and finished September 2012, very prompt and courteous.  Work was done excellently.  They subcontracted electrical, drywall, flooring and plumbing.  We were not very happy with their plumber, but overall the house looks amazing now and we have so much more space.  It's been a year and no issues,

WHEN DON KEITH STARTED THE JOB THE FIRST WEEK, HE BROUGHT IN 3 OR 4 WORKERS.  AFTER THAT WE ONLY SAW ONE PERSON THAT ARRIVED LATE EVERYDAY AND LEFT EARLY.  TOOK LONG LUNCHES AND HIS WORK WAS AWFUL.  MR KEITH WAS HIRED TO BE THE CONTRACTOR BUT NEVER INSPECTED THE WORK BEING PREFORMED.  NEVER FINISHED THE JOB.  BUT TOOK $20,000 AND RUN.  THIS OWNER PAID FOR MOST OF THE MATERIALS AHEAD OF THE PROJECT.  BESIDES THE $20,000.00 THE CONTACTOR TOOK.  STARTED THE JOB IN EARLY OCTOBER 2011, STATED IT WOULD BE DONE IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS.  WASN'T FINISH BY THANKSGIVING NOR EARLY DECEMBER.  BUYER BEWARE OF THIS PERSON.  RUINED OUR CHRISTMAS THAT YEAR.  WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PERSON FOR ANYTHING.

    MCCORMACK BUILDERS
A lot of structural work was necessary because of the age of the home. Mike then completely renovated our entryway and patio which included new windows, new bead board ceilings, new walls and flooring. In 2008 Mike and his crew put a new shingle roof on our home. This spring, Mike re-shingled the entire house. The existing siding, fascia and soffit were in bad repair. Inadequate wall structure was found after stripping the house which was completely rebuilt before shingling. All the fascia and soffit had to be completely reframed before any new boards could be installed. He had the stone foundation re pointed to ensure a waterproof basement, and took extra measures to prevent water seepage in joint areas (around the chimney, etc.) Mike used pre-primed red cedar shingles throughout the house along with all new Azek trim. All new trim work was installed on the exterior to the doors, windows, fascia, soffits and corner boards. After all the carpentry work was done the whole house was painted with 1 coat of oil based primer and 2 latex top coats for maximum protection against the weather. Finally Mike and his crew installed all new gutters and downpipes. In addition to Mike's practice of being readily available and talking through the details, including costs, of any given project, we have valued and relied on his thorough knowledge of all aspects of the work. We have appreciated Mike's creative and aesthetic sense and have used his suggestions regarding design, materials and color. Finally, Mike's work ethic and honesty are "unimpeachable."

    MC GOURTY CO
Through through the project there were very dismissive of any of our concerns.  After the adition was completed there were leaks in the roof, plumbing problems, and they would not come back.  We do not suggest them.

My wife and I were very pleased with his work and have since recommended him to our friends. Rich is very meticulous and takes pride in his work which is a rarity today. His prices were reasonable and if you are thinking of adding a room(s)/deck I would encourage you to give him a call.
