    MRW Masonry Restoration & Waterproofing
My basement flooded on the middle of redoing it. He came iwithin a day of me calling him. Exceeded my expectations! Did the job in more than timely manner, quality work. Left the place cleaner than any other person I've hired in the past. And a very fair honest price. Very professional. Then came back and did a small job and didn't charge me!

Went great. The piece of exposed ledge was a real issue for other contractors, but Mike was able to successful remove it and lay down asphalt. Also suggested other items such as laying pipe that I would not have thought of. Would totally use him again if a need arose.

    MJ Nicholls Landscaping LLC
We were extremely satisfied with the quality of work done by MJ Nicholls. The owner, Matt, was easy to communicate with. The work started on time and was completed earlier than expected. The crew worked until their tasks were completed instead of punching out at a set time everyday and they left the sight as neat as possible at the end of each day. They were not the cheapest quote we received, but we feel like we got a huge value for our money. Matt listened to us, and gave us exactly what we asked for. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again!

    iCornerstone, Inc.
Many years ago, my husband and I hired a general contractor to build a one story in-law apartment four our daughter and her family, and the experience was a disaster. We worried about a repeat when our home was extensively damaged by the record snowfall of 2014-2105. The insurance company required us to gut the kitchen and bathroom and replace everything except the cabinets. Through Angie's List, we found an alternative to a GC, a company that placed us in charge of the project in a way that gave us control over all decisions regarding products, labor, schedule, and scope. The president of the company, iCornerstone, is Richard Connolly, and we hired him to develop designs and labor and material specifications, submit them for competitive bids, establish the project cost and timelines, and coordinate the work once construction began. Richard's services rely heavily on a computer for communication and documentation, and we had almost no experience with technology. With his steady guidance and coaching, we managed fairly well. It was easy to access all the specifications, designs, and progress pictures Richard posted to DropBox, and his daily project updates or phone calls kept us in the know. At first, we were hesitant to be the GC because we are retired, on fixed income, and in our mid-seventies, but Richard was by our side every step of the way. I am very much hands-on, and Richard encouraged my active participation. A GC would provably accuse me of micro-managing or being difficult to work with. We could have hired anyone or purchased materials anywhere but decided to use the network of resources Richard referred to us. The workmanship of the subcontractors was excellent, but two had to be prodded to provide invoices. It was frustrating because the insurance company required evidence of payment before our settlement could be released, and the clock was winding down. Richard helped us resolve the situation by providing the insurance company with detailed costs for the project, which was done in two phases and included work beyond our claim. He persuaded the company to increase its estimate of the insulation costs because the building code would not allow us to replace the original fiberglass batts. Everything Richard said he would do, he did, which was not always the case with the plumbing company and the vanity and countertop supplier, especially when it came to the schedule or accommodating changes I wanted. Richard volunteered to cut sink holes in the bathroom vanities and kitchen counter tops to help the plumber and avoid delays or inconvenience to us. He even made, installed, and painted adjustable shelving in a closet and never charged for any physical work he did. Despite a few issues, I am thrilled with the result, and the project did not go over budget. The time it took was another matter, and one delay was at our request while others were caused by some contractors being unavailable when we needed them. Our space is beautiful and inviting, and Richard's suggestion that we raise the low kitchen ceiling to create a cathedral ceiling changed the overall feeling of the room. I cannot imagine a more ethical, professional, and cost-effective solution than iCornerstone and highly recommend Richard. We saw firsthand his commitment to us, love for his work, and passion for his company.

Outstanding work! Steve O'Keefe and all of the men he contracted to perform the services were professional, diligent, and incredibly hard working. They were consistently willing to stay later and come in on the weekend (while always seeking advanced permission) to meet deadlines. We were pretty flexible with the timeline but the work was performed in a reasonable timeframe, even while we added additional services to the original contract. Steve made sure that we were happy with the end result; the small things that we weren't satisfied with were immediately ratified at no cost to us. The exceptional service has expanded past the initial service completion; when we had a plumbing emergency, Steve responded immediately and the plumber appeared soon thereafter. I even hired the electrician for a non-basement-related matter after the job completion. I can't speak more highly about Steve, his work ethic and his dedication. Despite our insane schedules, he regularly met with us late night and weekends to keep us informed about the progress and to ensure our satisfaction. He's so pleasant to work with, has a great demeanor and attitude, and the work performed is top notch at a great price. We're thrilled with the work and enthusiastically recommend him and his company.

Bob was awesome to work with. He came by and talked about what we were thinking. We didn't feel rushed, and he really understood what we meant, made some suggestions and sent us a quote within a short time frame. After working with a bunch of people on other projects, it stuck out to us that he got quotes to us really fast...he was easy to get in touch with any time of day, and genuinely excited about making our space look awesome. And then he did! Bob really delivered on his promise to make it look nice. We have gotten non-stop compliments on our walkway, and we will be sitting out on our new patio for the Patriots game this weekend with the outdoor TV on and the fire going. We feel like with Bob's help we just increased our square footage of living space by having a real nice place to hang outside. I would and constantly do, highly recommend Bob to anyone looking for this type of work. The quality and attention to detail really shows. When I compare this to the same work that I got done at a previous house, it is above and beyond what I've ever seen. Thanks Bob!

    Falco Masonry
Excellent! We are new to living in a stucco house and were unsure if some of the cracks in the outside walls and foundation should be cause for concern. Joe came by and took a look at the house. He explained that the cracks were not large enough to be a concern and not a sign of any structural issues. He said it would be a waste of our money to hire anyone for this service. We appreciate his honesty and candor. We will not hesitate to reach out to Joe for future masonry work.

From my initial call to the actual service provided and follow-up, Busy Dog was professional and easy to work with.  I have installed two of their basement waterproofing systems in two different properties and have been very satisfied.

    Get It Done Contracting LLC
Will not communicate with customers, does not show up on a regular basis. Subcontractors were all complaining about not getting paid. He knew my wife was pregnant and having the baby in November yet did not show any empathy. Our lives have been h*** for the past year when it should have been the greatest moments thanks to this guy Rui.

***Update to contractor's response. We paid out of pocket for rot $1500.00. In regards to subcontractors I don't know what happened but we were told by Rui to lock our house up because electrician had to be fired but was told by plumbers and electricians that they were still waiting on payment. Whether or not they got the payment who knows, but reality is contract was for $46,000.00 and we paid $38000 plus $1500 and close to $3000 for other materials. There was about $8,000 (not $14000) for final payment left in the contract, and are now being told by people coming to bid on the rest of the project that we were under bid and it will cost around $20k to get everything fixed and finalized. Social media is here to protect us all from contractors like this who prey on people who don't have experience in doing extensive updates to their home. Look this guy up, this is a serial offense which he thinks he can continue to get away with. Lastly in regards to us not going to pay the final payment,, we had to create a formal deadline because at that point we were 6 months into a project that we were told would take a month. Rui and his crew would leave for weeks to months at a time with no communication and endless excuses. Rui signed a document stating that the final payment would decrease for everyday the work exceeded the deadline and he chose to take the direction he did. A professional licensed contractor should know better than to underbid a customer. You're dealing with working class families who pay for this out of their own pocket. Shame on you.
