    Repair Shop On Wheels

I was having trouble starting my one year old Husqvarna snow thrower, so I contacted Al to ask him to stop by to see if he could figure out what the problem was.  It took a little while for Al to get to me because of all the snow storms and subsequent busy schedule but believe me it was worth the wait.

When Al arrived he took his time trying to diagnose the problem.  After spending about an hour and a half in the freezing cold trying to get the snow thrower started he decided it would be better for him to take the machine back to his shop.  Al called a couple of days later to tell me he had the machine running and that it was an issue with the carburetor.

Al is knowledgeable, fair, and honest.  I would definitely use him again and would be happy to recommend him to anyone.

I had ignored my snowthrower for a couple of seasons and it was running very poorly.  I was late this season in getting it fixed, but I called Al 2 days ago and he showed up right on time.
Since I do not have a garage, he had to do the work in the cold, but he was prepared and did not mind it.  He finished in an hour or so and it is back in service.  No muss no fuss, no need to schedule a pickup and wait and then have the delivery.
The snowthrower is running great, just like it did when I first got it.
Al was very pleasant to deal with and I will definitely be calling him to do my lawnmower in the spring.

Al was very personable, professional and responsive and did a great job. The service he provides is great and very convenient. He came by and performed all of the work on site. We will definitely use him for future maintenance.

He is just an awesome guy! He spent 2 hours going over every bit of the lawn mower. I have used him before. One of the great things about his service is that he comes right to your house to do the work. He is very nice and professional. He covers the driveway so that he doesn't get any oil on it. He is just wonderful!

I found Al on Angie's List and liked the fact that he does the work right at your house, so, in the case of a snowblower, it won't be at the shop for a week in the middle of the winter. I called Al and told him that my husband had reported that he snowblower went "pop" and then started smoking the last time that he had used it. I mentioned that it probably could use a tune-up, as well, and Al said that I should probably do the tune-up, since otherwise, there was a $65 charge for him just to travel to the house(or something like that). Anyway, he was very flexible about when he could come. When he got here, he covered the driveway so that nothing would get on it, which was very considerate. He found the problem-there was a chunk of wood in the part that the snow blows out of, and that wood had been running against the belt-hence, the smoking. He didn't have a replacement belt with him, so he took the snowblower back to his house and said he'd return it a few days later. I initially thought, uh oh, I'm going to pay an arm and a leg for him to make a second trip back here. But he returned a few days later, as scheduled, with the snowblower all tuned up and the belt replaced. He charged me $132. I hadn't called any other companies to get estimates, but I thought that $132 for the new belt, the tune-up, and service right at the house(at least until he realized he didn't have another belt)was well worth it.
