    Roberto's Affordable Landscaping
I have been using Roberto's Affordable Landscaping for about a year now. They are a great company to deal with and Roberto leads by example. I recently had them do a very large job in my back yard where I had poison Ivy, allot of small tree's, and overgrown weeds. They cleared it out and even placed all the medium sized rocks in a neat pile in the back corner. I would highly recommend using them for any lawn care, weekly mowing, and large landscape project you would need

    Roberto's Affordable Landscaping
I needed a yard cleanup. I purchased the $149 coupon through Angie's List. I received a call within a couple of days and Roberto and his crew were at my house in 2 days. He suggested doing a gutter cleaning, trimmed the branches of a tree abutting the house, and trimmed the bushes for an additional $225. Great job for a very decent price. Would hire again.

    Roberto's Affordable Landscaping
Scheduling the service was a challenge. It took multiple emails to get a date scheduled. About 2 weeks before the scheduled date of service, Roberto and his crew showed up on my doorstep to work. Seeing as I scheduled theservice for Leaf Cleanup at a specific date, it was too early to do thework. Not to mention the fact that it was 2 weeks early. During this meeting, I was also told that I needed to pay an additional$100.00 for the removal of the leaves! This made me feel very uncomfortableas I had already paid in full through Angie's List. I refused to pay the additional $100.00 and asked them to return on the scheduled date.

On the correct date of service, Roberto's crew showed up at 10:00 AM and were finished with the work at 11:00 AM, one hour total. They did remove the leaves as scheduled but there were some remaining leaves under the hedges in the front and back yard.

They did an excellent job. I had already raked up some leaves before I bought the deal. They came in and took over 20 lawn bags of leaves out of my yard! They also did some edging around my flower beds.

    KELLY BROTHERS LANDSCAPING
Family members have been using the Kelly Brothers' services since the owners were teenagers. Their work is exceptional and they are completely trusted to do great work. If you intend to have a yearly contract, please be careful to watch for the postcard that comes in the mail to confirm your intent to continue services. Otherwise, they assume you don't wish to continue services. Also, be aware that they may not return calls promptly but you can assume they heard the call and honor your requests within a week or 10 days.

    MOW DOG LANDSCAPING CO
I have to warn you, these guys are dirty, rotten scoundrels. I did not like the work they did for several reasons. I told them why, they got paid and asked to leave, end of contract. In particular, their non-resident employees were kicking my child's toy around while she was begging for it, and refused to give it back. They destroyed her toy. I asked them please to give it back and they ignored me. My kid was crying for her toy, there was utterly no reason for it. I went and talked to the police, they were so nasty. I asked them never to come back. Mike came back and did some property damage at night, to make sure I knew he was not impressed with my opinion of his guys' work. Caveat emptor.

    Jerry's Landscaping
In the beginning I dealt mainly with Jerry himself, then with Jerry's son Jay, and now more often with Adam.  I have never had any reason to complain.  As time goes by, I have asked them to do more, different, and/or new things; and they have consistently pleased me and surprised me with their versatility.  Adam is especially multi-talented.  He knows general construction techniques as well as lawns and gardens.  They are responsible, reliable, prompt, diligent, and neat.  They do everything I ask, and I don't have to repeat instructions, either week to week or year to year.  They remember, and they do things right the first time.  They don't do unnecessary work, either.  They don't leave messes on my property or off; and they don't annoy my neighbors.  Their employees appear to be stable and long-term, which I mention because I've noticed that other local landscapers' employees are not.

I just subscribed to Angie's List, and the first vendor category I looked at was "Lawn & Yard Work."  Out of curiosity I looked up Jerry's Landscaping.  I surprised to see a grade lower than A, so I read all (six) reports to see what the complaints were.  I found that every grade was either A or F; and that every F was from a subscriber for whom Jerry's had not done any work.  The subscriber was angry because he or she had called Jerry's for an initial estimate and Jerry's had either not responded or had been late.  I can't and won't argue with these subscribers.  I will offer my observations that Jerry's has a stable business and a very loyal clientele, and has never seemed very interested in _expanding_ its customer base.  I recall that, about 14 years ago when I moved to a new house with a larger driveway and decided to stop clearing snow myself, Jay mentioned that he strictly limits the number of snow-plowing/blowing/shoveling clients he has.  I suspect that he limits his lawn & garden clientele, too.  Fortunately, he took me on.  He (and/or his employees) is/are very responsible and reliable for snow-removal, as they are for everything else.  He/they know what time we want to leave home in the morning, and he/they make a point of having our driveway clear at that time.

    KELLY BROTHERS LANDSCAPING
We've used the Kellys for year round lawn care services and they've been great. From Spring cleanup and mulching to seeding the lawn, to summer mowings and Fall leaf collection. They also do our driveway plowing and take each task with care and with an eye to doing the best job possible at a fair price. They are also quite skilled at lawn related construction projects and built a retaining wall for us. There are a lot of landscapers to choose from but the Kelly Brothers are the best.

    The Narrow Lane Landscape Company
Ron and his crew are the best in the business, in my view. Their work is superb and efficient, and the front office couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. Highest marks.
