    My first 1-2 uses of Lucas went relatively smoothy and without a hitch. They did cancel their appointments on me a few times ... but generally they eventually showed up! This last time was a real disaster though. First off - after paying $180 for someone to come an turn on your irrigation system (with some needed, minor repairs), you'd expect to find your system in working order. Unfortunately for me, despite paying a relatively high amount of money to them - my grass started to be brown in some spots. I only discovered that they actually never activated my irrigation/water management system - and the sprinkler was actually not set to run on a schedule!! So, in the end, they completely failed to do the job that I paid them to do. They never informed me that they ran into technical issues activating the hardware - they just proceeded to charge me and hope that I wouldn't notice! I complained to them via email and they never even responded to my outreach. Nada, Zilch. (i wonder if they'll follow-up here via AngiesList since now this is a visible show of their failure!) So - if you like this service - then go ahead and use them. However, be aware that they don't take ownership of completing the job as they should and certainly failed me in this case! The professionally is seriously under question for me.

    Great - Fabio and crew very professional. Fabio worked with me on design and layout of sprinkler heads and stayed within my budget and installed my preferred controller. Gabriella coordinated programming of smart controller. System is working well. Used the plumber they gave as reference for installation of required 1 in. pipe and back flow device - also excellent. Will continue to use services of Boston Irrigation for system seasonal maintenance.

    Autowater Irrigation Co Inc
    I have a small yard, but it has a number of unusually shaped sections which makes watering by hand a nightmare. I had put off installing an irrigation system because of my concerns about the possible disruption to the plants and grass but I finally decided that the time had come. My landscaper recommended Autowater highly so I called the company and Geoff came out to do an estimate. He was thorough and helpful, explaining clearly the impact on the lawn and plantings and assured me that they would try to minimize the impact on the bed I was really concerned about. He also went over the process and gave a clear written estimate. We wanted to experiment with a wifi based controller. Although this was not the standard controller he uses, Geoff was willing to be flexible and installed the controller that we chose. It requires that we be on site to run the system for service, but that was fine with us. We arranged with the town to put in a second meter along with a new water line. Geoff did the plumbing work for the irrigation system. He was neat and made sure that the lines and flow meter were well laid out and conveniently placed. The installation team, led by Adam, did a great job. They covered all the odds spots in the yard with minimal impact to the grass and plantings, and took special care of the one bed I was concerned about. I have had a few minor issues since installation and they were handled promptly as part of the warranty. Darrell in the office is always very responsive and helpful. Brian did a great job fixing a problem with one valve, fine tuning the adjustment of some of the spray heads, and answering my questions. I am extremely happy with my irrigation system and with Autowater. In all my dealings with them, I have found them to be knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend them to anyone considering an irrigation system.

    The guy came on time, went through all the sprinkler zones and adjusted the heads. 4 sprinkler heads were broken or leaking, so he fixed them on the spot for $25 each. Whole thing took about an hour. Very efficient and helpful. I'd use them again.

    Last fall I called Corbett to blow out my irrigation system.  They came and did their job - and I suspected that it was all set up as it should have been. 

    To my dismay, this spring, they came to turn it on and then they left.  I was disappointed to learn that the system was leaking underground. At first it was a slow leak but then it seemed to get much worse over the next week or two. 
    They came out to diagnose the problem and then they came out again to come fix it.  The entire project must not have been longer than 1-hour of work, between the two visits.  The part that they replaced cost me $32, but the labor was more like $150 (after having run-out a ton of time in labor charges, somehow).
    When I looked at the failed part, it was clear to me and my plumber that the part may have been damaged by ice building up in it over the winter - due to water left in the system after last fall. 

    I called politely and asked to speak with someone who could discuss the topic and find a solution to address the fact that many signs pointed to improper maintenance last fall. Instead of having a professional, service-oriented discussion - the owner Brian called and berated me for 10 minutes on the phone - explaining that there was no possible way that it was his company's fault.

    When I told me that he seemed to be more interested in lecturing me then finding a path forward- he became hostile and irate.  
    When I work with a service company, I expect to be treated with respect and some semblance of reasonability.  I wasn't asking for a full-refund - I was asking to figure out how much culpability we each should bear for this issue. Brian, the owner, displayed incredibly unprofessional behavior to me  - hence my decision to sever the relationship with Corbett immediately.  Brian has a real temper and will explode on you if you're not careful!  He may follow-up with this note and act kind and act as if I was acting unreasonable - but believe me - I was completely calm and attempting to talk through this issue professionally when he attacked me. 

    The office staff, and technicians at Corbett can be great service-providing partners to home owners.  But watch out - because at the top of the organization is a huge A-hole who is more willing to scold his customers than to actually work with them and make them happy!  

    Be careful and weary of this company... or you'll be sorry.

    We moved into our house last year and wanted to keep using the same lawn irrigation service the previous owners had, but after calling jack a number of times to set up a maintenance appointment and not hearing back, we are going to have to find someone else. It's really odd.

    Professional, High Quality workmanship, at a reasonable price
    Answered all my questions (I have a small backyard), and
    made sure that the sprinkler system they installed did not spray my home with
    water. Also they took the time to show me how to work the system. They arrived
    when they said would, and finished right on time. Highly Recommend!

    Irrigation Concepts
    I first called Nick Waitt, owner of Irrigation Concepts, to get a quote on refurbishing and updating my in-ground irrigation system and to discuss with him some ideas I wanted to understand concerning installation of rain barrels. He was one of three I contacted to have this conversation. One of the three never responded and the other had a representative call me on the phone but did not visit and had no soluition to offer for my rain barrel request.

    Nick promptly came to my house reviewed my concerns and my system. Upon finding a leak that required fixing he arranged for a colleague who is a licensed plumber, which was required by law, to fix the leak at a very affordable cost and in a responsive manner. He then returned and refurbished my whole system for less than $500 including all parts and labor and including initializing the system. He then submitted a written proposal for three alternatives: 1. a drip irrigation system as described above, 2. installation of rain hogs which would take the place of rain barrels; and 3. installation of a high capacity underground rain collection system. I decided to select the drip irrigation system which he promptly installed at the price quoted in his proposal. He also has agreed to maintain the irrigation systems for a full year at a cost of $300 per year.

    His rates are at or below others that have been quoted to me, his service is on time and on budget and he is the owner of the service. He has studied horticulture for four years in a technical program and is diligent. I highly recommend him.

    Excellent experience. We were looking for a new company to work with us on improving our irrigation system, rtc. Due to the lateness in the season they checked the system, drained it and shut it down for the winter months. We had a coupon for an assessment. they promised to honor this coupon next spring.. We were very happy with that.
