    My wife and I needed vinyl siding installed, and after talking with Jim (the owner) we decided to go with Beantown Home Improvement. We received two other estimates from two other companies, but decided to go with Beantown. They showed up on time (or early) every day, finished the work early, and were very professional throughout the process. It was easy to contact them with any questions, and we always received a quick reply. I would recommend them for anyone interested in having vinyl siding installed.

    Jon measured once for the estimate and the window order in one visit. I was impressed because all the other contractors we talked with wanted to measure twice. 1) a quick measure for the estimate, 2) and come back a 2nd time, remove the trim, and measure to place the order.
    I was a little worried the windows wouldn't fit but they did fit.
    Jon answered all of our questions promptly and in a professional manner.
    Jon was very flexible in setting up the installation date. We went on vacation, then we were worried it would be too cold, or it would rain. We managed to agree on a good install date that worked for all of us.
    Jon's crew arrived between the stated start time (8:00 - 8:30am) and promptly began working. The crew worked well together and stayed focused on the job. No arguing, no wasting time. They ripped out the old windows and installed the new windows in one day. And they installed the outside trim. They ran into a few problems trying to get the windows out. But they were able to easily solve the problems due to their skill and experience.
    Jon worked calmly and meticulously to install the interior trim over the three day project.
    Jon squirted in expanding foam around the window frames to prevent cold air from coming into our home during the winter months. Other contractors wanted to put in fiberglass. Jon convinced us the foam would prevent cold air from coming in better than the fiberglass.
    The finished windows look great.
    While the temperatures are above normal for this time of year our condo seems to be warmer due to the energy efficient windows and good insulation around the frames.
    We'd hire Jon again for future projects.

    The service was excellent. The owner (Greg) reviewed the job, gave us an accurate estimate, and supervised the three excellent workers. They were prompt, polite and meticulous. This is a terrific crew. The effort took about four days. Greg returned to inspect the result. Very easy to work with.

    Very professional and responsive.  Performed during the day when I was out of house.  Siding looks new.  Otherwise wouldn't notice they had been there.  A couple of small stains remain.

    I noticed cracks on my staircase and walls, plus the beam in living room and main beam in basement badly sagging.
    Contacted N&B on a Thursday, got a call back same day; came out on Saturday morning, proposal on Monday, started work on Wednesday the following week. The work was completed within 1.5 weeks, painting a week later once the plaster had dried.
    They did an excellent job, great communication and work ethics. I don't know much about structures and contracting but it was very apparent that the owner, who came to assess my house and did a lot of the work himself, knew exactly what he was talking about. 
     I plan on hiring them again for additional projects in the near future and would highly recommend the company.

    I called Joe for an estimate and he called me back promptly and we setup a time for him to come to our house.  He arrived on time
    and ready to go over the work to be done. He spent a good amount of time walking around the house with me, going over options and answered my 300 questions in stride.  We chatted on the deck after.  He had a trunk full of samples, which helped with seeing and touching the materials that were available.
    He wrote me up an appraisal and cost estimate on the spot and it was competitive. I tend to check quite a few contractors before settling on one and it came down to The Siding Guy and one other company.  We ultimately chose the other company, but it was close, as we debated between the final two.
    I wouldn't hesitate to call Joe again.

    This company was great. I highly recommend them if the owner is still the same as two years ago. Everything about this job was actually enjoyable for me. The salesperson gave good advice, quoted a price that they stuck to,  worked to schedule me in, and did everything he said he would do. The work team was polite, clean, efficient, and they do excellent work!  The owner visited the site before, during, and after the job and also gave good advice about two problem areas that I just didn't know what to do with. The rain gutters work perfectly on multisloped roof. Two plus years with all those storms and everything looks as good as the day it was installed. A quality company, and the owner really cares about the workmanship.

    It wasn't a straightforward repair, because there was a vent pipe in the middle of a roof valley (that should never have been placed there by an another, earlier contractor), which caused the leak, and required moving. So, they moved the pipe several feet, flashed the pipe properly, repaired the hole where the pipe had been, and added shingles which closely matched what is on the rest of the roof. But that wasn't all. They also replaced some wood siding where roof runoff was causing rot. First they removed the rotted siding, flashed the wall properly, and replaced the siding with PVC siding to match the existing wood. I am very satisfied with the work and the price, and they will be my go-to company for any exterior work now. My only minor complaint was that I was told the work could begin in 2 weeks from the estimate and it took 3 weeks (about) to get started. But that to me is pretty minor.

    From beginning to end O'Sullivan Installs was courteous, prompt, organized, and efficient.  When you call, you will be greeted by George who takes care of the initial communication and scheduling. He arrived at our house on a nice Saturday this summer and patiently did an initial walkthrough, answered our numerous questions, took notes and listened to us.  He brought a large binder portfolio that allowed us to view examples of their previous work and also had an assortment of physical siding examples. When we didn't understand what a soffet was or what a j-channel meant, the actual product examples helped us understand.  I had done some research prior, but George really helped us understand the "water management system" that they provide and that our house desperately needed.  After taking a lot of measurements and knowing what we were looking for he gave us an estimate for the job. The siding was an exact estimate, the doors and window were dependent on the models we chose later, so they itemized the siding, separate from the door & window.

    Summer 2012:
    We compared our other offers and decided to go with O'Sullivan Installs, based mainly on the reviews here.  The estimate was in line with our other offers, O'Sullivan was a smidge higher, but we wanted to go for quality, especially with such an important and sizable job ahead of us.

    We met with George and did another walkthrough,  ironed out the colors, trim, windows, doors, etc... and the numbers.  We signed on and the deal was done. They setup the order for the materials.

    We weren't sure when our refinance and our LOC would complete, we gave a rough timeframe of availability about 2 months out. They respected our timeframe and said we could work out the date once we had a more concrete timeframe as long as we gave them enough time to purchase the materials and allow for the siding, window, door order to complete and be delivered, etc... prior to the work.   When our finances cleared, we called for scheduling and set a date.

    September 2012:
    The materials were all in and they were ready to go. The crew arrived on time.  Tim met us, we went over some logistics and did a quick walkthrough again for last minute details. They started working immediately, scaffolding & stripping.
    Tim's crew worked very hard and were very respectful of our daily lives. They cleaned up well and diligently worked every day.
    The work took 1 week:  Monday-stripping, Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri one side sided each day.  Sat AM they finished up the detail work and touchups, working around our chimney and porch were a bit dicey and took a little bit longer.  Again, better to have it done right.

    The best thing about the whole experience was that it was exactly what you want with a large, expensive job like this.  They were
    communicative, always returned calls promptly, there were no surprises and our estimate came in exact. Tim quells your anxiety, which streamlines what could be a stressful time.  They didn't haggle with us during the job about extra money. When an issue came up with our Juliet porch (which sticks out of the house), they offered us some options with pros and cons and respected our decisions.  They lay it all on the table and deliver what they promise. I am very confident that if we had an issue with excessive rot (which we didn't) it would have been a clean, business-like process to deal with any additional costs. They are very reasonable,  they want to do an honest job for honest pay.  We are extremely  happy with our siding ,doors and window.  You'll be impressed with their craftmanship. The cuts are perfect.
    I would hire them again in a second. No regrets. Nice job Tim and thank you for your patience and expertise.
