FI dropped my spring jacket off to be cleaned and asked if a small make up stain on the collar could be removed. He assured me it could and tagged the spot to highlight the stain. Was told to come back in 5 days. I returned in 6 days and they said they needed 3 additional days. I returned on the 3rd day and they couldn't find the jacket. When I gave them my receipt the jacket that they showed me was not my jacket. They looked for about 15 minutes and couldn't find it. They then started to rotate the machine that holds all the clothes and I spotted my jacket. It had a different receipt attached and told me it wasn't my coat. I assured them it was as I had described it to them (white, NE Patriots jacket). They relented. When I took the jacket out of the bag I noticed that the stain was untouched. I showed it to him and he said he would mark it again that it should easily come out. They would need the jacket an additional 7 days. I returned on day 9 and they couldn't find the jacket. I couldn't believe it. They looked everywhere, and again, it's missing. They told me to return in 2 days, that perhaps it was at a different location. I did return and they did have the jacket, but the stain again wasn't touched. The woman in the store (owner's wife) was rude and unapologetic. I did pay for the jacket when I dropped it off and my money was not refunded. It took over 3 weeks for this process to play out and will take it to another cleaner in town. I should never have left the jacket with them the 2nd time, but thought mistakes do happen. I am lucky to have gotten the jacket back I guess, but this is not a good dry cleaners. Kleen-it was in Ayer for over 30 years and we miss you. You were fast, awesome and friendly. Do not go to this service unless you want to risk your items getting lost and at worst, not cleaned.
