How to Make Kitchen Appliances Last Longer

Appliance Repair reviews in Attleboro

I hoped to support a local business rather than a big box store, but will not make that mistake again. I wish I could Lambco zero stars. They installed my new washing machine incorrectly, resulting in flooding of my basement the first time the washer was used, resulting in damage to many items throughout the basement. I am disabled and it was extremely difficult and painful for me to do any of the clean up. They were aware of this but unwilling to offer any assistance. They were also unable/unwilling to send a tech to hook up the washer correctly for days because their service man was working on the Cape. (Just ONE service man?!) Even then, they refused to give me a specific time, but wanted to give me a morning or afternoon WINDOW of time; Not acceptable given the circumstances of them being at fault, and considering all the damage done to my belongings and incredible amount of cleanup I had to deal with. You would think they would make at least a LITTLE effort to make things right. They told me ALL service people schedule windows of time and that I was being unreadonable expecting a specific appt time! Their fix when they DID come was to zip tie a longer drain hose to a faucet of a sink for the hose to drain into...making the faucet unusable for much else. During the INITIAL installation, the delivery boys (in no way were they technicians!) left debris in my driveway, asked me to move things while they stood by and watched. (I have no use of one of my hands) they left screws, tape, zip ties, etc strewn all over the floor, and took what seemed to be personal cell phone calls throughout the delivery. They spoke a language other than English throughout the each other, on the phone, and laughing all the while. Very disrespectful. The office now won't answer calls about compensation for damages to a rug, a bed headboard and footboard, artwork, etc. from the flooding. They keep putting me on hold and don't come back to the phone or they hsng up!! I've never seen anything like this! My mother scheduled service with them shortly after this issue and her appt was cancelled because their service man quit without notice! Can't blame him! Please read reviews about L ambco appliance on the many sites and apps that have them...there are a LOT of unhappy customers of theirs out there! (Although the owner told me in sll his years of business he's never had such issues)...Online reviews say differently. Save yourself a lot of headaches...listen to the reviews and shop elsewhere.

James came out the next day and confirmed it was the water pump that was not working. $65 service call much less than all the other places I called. He didn't have the pump I needed and had to order one. unfortunately it was right before the weekend and was 5 days before he could come back. when he did, it took less than 30 minutes to complete the job and get my washer repaired. He had quoted me $275 for all the work, service call, parts & labor. Job came in under the quote.

    Affordable Appliance Repair

Set up an appointment for 12/17 for dryer repair. Wasn't sure if I needed a new switch or a new motor. Did not have a switch that fit my dryer. Ordered a new switch came the next day (Saturday) to install. Determined it was the motor. Because I needed a motor I was not charged for the switch and received $20.00 off the service charge. Decided to buy a new dryer not worth putting  in a new motor. Would highly recommend this company.

    Neighborhood Appliance Repair Co LLC
I had a terrible leak in my frontload washing machine.  I emailed Neighborhood Appliance Repair late in the evening and received a call back first thing in the morning.  I was pressed for time and needed service that day, before noon due to work appointments.  I could not believe they were not only able to schedule it same day, but had someone out in less then 2 hours to make the necessary repair.  They had the part on the truck and the estimate they gave me was not far off from the final price.  The service tech was efficient and very polite.  Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend them to anyone and call them in the future for any appliance repair!

They were ultimately not able to repair the washing machine. He tried a few different things to make the repairs. He explained that my machine was the type of machine that had magnets to spin the drum and that they had gotten out of alignment. He said that he could re-align them but it would be very expensive and there was no guarantee that they wouldn't slip right back out alignment. He recommended that I buy an "old-school" washing machine because they last forever. So that exactly what I did and have had no problems since.

    Affordable Appliance Repair
I called Affordable Appliance Repair in the afternoon, but they were booked for the rest of the day. However, there came first thing in the morning.
Phil certainly knows what he's doing. I told him what the problem was and he knew immediately what needed to be fixed. After 14 years of constant use, the lid switch had broken. While he was here, he checked out the rest of the machine and found that the agitator was also broken. Phil also fixed the agitator (a couple of small plastic parts that had broken were quickly replaced) without cost because "it wasn't the problem I called him for, and I didn't know that it was also broken." He said that when he fixes one problem and runs the machine to be sure it is working properly, he also checks to be sure everything else is working as it should be. Phil is very professional, a gentleman, and a downright nice guy.
Should I have problems with any other appliances, I will definitely call him. I'd recommend him in a heartbeat.

My washing machine is old and wasn't working. Phil showed up and said he may be able to get a part to fix it but I may want to buy a new one. I had looked at new washers and I didn't like some of the new features on them so I said I would rather keep the old one going as long as I could as long as it wasn't cost prohibitive. He said he would check into getting the part and let me know how much it would all cost. Since the cost with installation was reasonable, I decided to have the repair done and have been very happy with results.

    Same Day Service Company Inc
They made it to my house the same day. The gentleman that came was very professional and nice. My mother was home at the time and he was very polite and friendly and even very friendly with my dogs. He called me to tell me what was wrong with the dryer to let me know what my options were. He even let me know that my dryer vent was not up to code and fixed that as well. The prices were reasonable and I am very glad that I called. I will definitely use this company again when I need appliance work in the house.

He was prompt, very nice, and respectful like wiping his feet. He also told us a lot about our washing machine that we did not know. He was not only very good at what he did; he was informative too. We would definitely use him again for any kind of appliance repair.

I called the company on Wednesday afternoon (10/12). He gave me a choice of dates and times.  He arrived within 5 minutes of the time scheduled.  I had explained the problem over the phone and he thought it might be a gasket problem.  However, when he arrived, he just had to adjust the door so that it sealed properly.  It did not take very long.  He actually showed me what to do if it happened again which is remarkable!    He also applied vaseline to the gaskets and told me to do that once a year so that the doors would seal better.

All in all,  it was a very positive experience.
