    Handyman from heaven is right! We had such a variety of small repairs, and Louis knew immediately what was needed for each. Picked up small parts which were needed, and was extremely pleasant and interesting as bonus features. We would call him again in a heartbeat - what a find!

    The process was awesome.  I stopped by the showroom and described what I was looking for - I have not had anything on my sliding glass door for the past 11 years and the sun had bleached my hardwood floor by the door.  I just had the floors refinished and needed to keep the sun out, but still have the view of the woods.  My door also had a transom window above it that I did not want to cover.  After, much discussion the salesman came up with a great solution which he confirmed when he came to give me the estimate.  Because of the type of door I had and the limitations of the transom, I bought a roll up shade in a cream color through which I could still see my woods, but the sun exposure is limited.  Rolled up you do not see the shade since it sits between the transom window and the sliding glass door.  The installer came on time for the appointment and did a great job!
    Designs in Blinds had installed all my top down bottom up blinds 11 years ago and I was so pleased that this experience was as wonderful now as it was then.

    We paid for the company to install cellular shades in our living room and dining room. A gentleman came, measured our windows (we paid $75), we signed an order for the blinds and paid half the amount up front ($831). There the problems began; we were told originally that it would take three weeks to have our blinds installed. When I called after a month had passed and no news from Calico corners, the "labor coordinator", which was not the same sales associate who sold us the blinds, told me I was confused. It would take eight weeks for them to get and install the blinds, and it had never been three weeks. Two months after we ordered the blinds, the same lady called and told me "manufacturing problems" prevented them from getting the blinds. We did get a promise of a refund on the blinds, which we will hopefully see in our next credit card bill, but no satisfactory explanation as to what happened or, more importantly, why they waited eight weeks to let us know there was an issue. Which means we now have been without the blinds for more than eight weeks, an eight weeks in which they kept our money and fooled us into thinking the service would be provided. Of course, there was no answer to the question: Who is going to refund us for time lost and aggravation? We will absolutely never do business with these people again.

    We highly recommend Bloom & Company. They have many years of experience and knowledge about various products and manufacturers and installation scenarios. They made candid recommendations based on the advantages of each manufacturer and product. The Blooms were very accommodating about our request for a weekend appointment and didn't make us feel at all rushed while we made our selections and asked questions. Matt took many factors into consideration, while measuring to ensure that the installation would look great, and all of the shades certainly do. We had originally planned to shop around and get a few quotes, but after meeting with Matt, we sensed that his price was fair, and that his company is very good at what they do, so we looked no further. The shades arrived quickly and look great. Again, I highly recommend them.
