  • I've been a customer for a number of years, but I think they've changed management. They always used to be so cordial when you called and they'd pick up within minutes of putting you on hold. Now it's at least a 15 minute wait before anyone picks up. Last fall I had an issue and they came out to check out. Quote me one price for that service then charged me double +. Scheduled two deliveries last winter and was running low. First one they said they'd be there within 3 days. They didn't show. Called again. Promised next day. Didn't show. Finally after a week and numerous calls I got a delivery. They also tried to charge me a late fee on payment. Unbelievable. I'm still considering my options.

  • Although the time period was set at between 12 & 3, John G arrived around 3:50 which was acceptable given the many people who may have been having the same problem that day. He came in, put on booties to protect floors and carpets and set straight to work. I have to admit that, having had close to 40 years of experience with oil furnaces, I am pretty much at sea with gas furnaces. The furnace itself was ok and he got it working almost straight away, but it was pretty much a guess as to why it had stopped. I was advised how to keep it going until any repairs might be made given the fact there was no guarantee it would start again if set normally plus we are in the middle of an extended cold spell. I was very happy with his work, and would definitely call Sila again if needed.

  • Although for some reason they could not come on the specified day, they made every effort to come the day before. They arrived within the specified time frame, did a great job and the system worked well.

  • RM Mechanical Services stands behind his work and this morning made a return service call. The problem was caused by homeowner error, but Rick of RM Mechanical Services found a mistake he made, fixed the problem before any damage was done. He did not charge for the return call. He came at 8 AM on a Saturday morning when there was no emergency. This is the kind of service that Rick provides to his customers. Rick also installed new central AC systems at my former home and a family member's home for far less than the competition for the same unit. He provides a 5 year labor warranty on all systems he installs. Rick is trustworthy and honest. He easily could have charged me today for the return call but did not.

  • Offered to sell tune-up of both A/C and heating for $218 each or $358 for a service contract. Told them to check out both heating and A/C. Showed photo of cracked heat exchanger and found burned out capacitor in A/C unit and low refrigerant level in A/C. Offered complete repair job for over $3,000. Long story, short: Another reputable repair sevice replaced the capacitor and recharged the refrigerant for less than $900 and inspected the heat exchanger and found no crack. ARS seemed to upselling at every opportunity and even 'finding' a large expensive non-existent problem. Won't call them again.

  • The installation went very well.  The contractor was on time and performed excellent work.  The team was neat and professional.  Everything was done to my satisfaction, and I'm very particular.
    They removed the old unit's condenser and air handler, which entailed working outside my home and in the attic.  This also entailed replacing much of the coolant lines because the old system used the old freon refrigerant, which is not compatible with the newer coolant.  They also had to flush and clean the vertical extant lines to ensure no contamination from the old freon.  They also provided a new, programmable thermostat for that zone.
    They placed drop cloths over my carpets and flooring to ensure no dirt was tracked into my house.  They also removed all traces of the old equipment and vacuumed the carpets once they were finished.  This was all accomplished in about 6 hours.  
    I could not have asked for better, more professional service.

  • The inspector was very efficient and professional but was paranoid about what he thought was a corroded heat exchanger. The replacement price quoted was a lot higher than others I contacted through Angies List. Because of the catastrophic description of minor corrosion, I ended up buying CO detectors as no one could replace the furnace instantly because it had to be scheduled. In the week I had to wait, the CO detectors showed a big fat 0 which shows how overblown the description and a large Condemned sticker that was placed on the furnace which made us laugh.
