    Astonishing Decks, LLC
Every phase of the project was exceptional. Rob is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. The attention to detail is apparent in the finished product and kudos to his team of installers. We highly recommend Rob to anyone planning to install a Trex deck. He will walk you through the project and always keep you up to date on the progress. Looking forward to enjoying the deck for many years .

    Astonishing Decks, LLC
Rob is knowledgeable, experienced, and personable. His crew is top-notch. Rob carefully reviewed the Trex line of products and accessories, pointing out their pros and cons prior to us making a product choice. He identified unknowns that would not become clear until the existing deck was removed and how they might impact our agreed-upon price. He checked his crew's progress daily and kept us up-to-date on progress, issues, and what to expect next. His crew even removed a downed tree limb from one of our wind chimes and shoveled snow from the front porch (even though they were working on the back deck)! I would definitely hire Rob again and highly recommend him to anyone contemplating a new or renewed deck.

The work went incredibly well. I had a compressed deadline as I had a buyer for my condo already lined up. Keith did the work in less time than estimated, was professional, responsive to phone calls and courteous to my neighbors.

The estimate was higher than the vendor I went with. They have always been a reputable company in this market, and their pricing is high. I would use them if they had competitive pricing. He was $1400 higher than the other 3 bids that I got.  The responsiveness was excellent.

    AA Tofani Construction Co Inc
The man that came out to give us an estimate was the first deck contractor we met with.  He sat with us for over an hour and did a very detailed diagram.  We were very happy with everything we learned from him.  The problem was that he never gave us an estimate!  I contacted him at least twice and he kept saying he was working on it and giving me a date it would be available.  We ended up meeting with other contractors and the deck was actually completed before AA Tofani contacted me to tell me that they were not going to have time to give us an estimate.  Not a great business model to spend all your time up front and then not even give people an opportunity to hire you!

Poor quality of work, caused serious damage   to electrical system and most troubling of all, the plans were not followed.  The end result was significantly different finished product  that the plans required.  Owner is very volatile and very difficult to work with.  Numerous situations where contractor  attempted to charge more for the material specified in contract.  I would not use them again. I have to have a new contractor come in a fix all the problems due to poor workmanship on the part of SEC. Deck has to be dismantled and rebuilt to required standard.  Owner lied about Town Ordinances to cover his mistakes.  Had to hire an independent Architect to assess damage done by South East Carpentry

    Remodeling Concepts
The overall experience was wonderful.  The job was completed sooner than originally planned considering it was a super hot summer.  The crew worked through the brutal heat waves without missing a beat.  The demolition, foundation and rough framing were completed ahead of schedule.  The siding, windows and doors look fantastic and a very nice quality for our budget.  The electrician and plumber were also very professional and helped us adjust the layouts to best suit our needs, too.

The carpenter offered some great design ideas for the 2nd floor covered porch that made it look fabulous and a lot better than we would ever imagine.

Everyone showed up on time and put in long days.  They all were easy to work with and took time to answer our questions that periodically came up. The owner and his crew were all very professional, competent and courteous.

Remodeling Concepts turned our dream into reality and we give them two "thumbs-up" and a big thank-you.

The experience was great. Steve is very responsive and detailed. He handles all the details and logistics and is upfront about what he can and can't do. He also has a really good eye for what will work and look good long term. His staff are great. Very professional and respectful and fast. He really worked with us on the price while still giving us what we wanted. Extremely happy.

    MASS Home Services
Overall, my experience with mass home services has been great. Tony is professional, trustworthy and hard working. He gave me a fair price on a deck and it came out very nice. I have also used him for interior painting, power washing, and small repairs around the house. I recommend him regularly to my friends.

Overall this was not a good experience. At the beginning things were ok but then it appeared that Todd had underestimated the work involved in replacing the stairs and landing and the top rails on the deck. When he didn;t show up for a few days and I had no idea what was going on (the job was only supposed to take 3 days) he informed me later that because he had under bid this job (which he kept telling me, how is that my fault?) he had to leave and go work on another job to make the money to pay his workers, he wasn't getting paid and he was losing money on the job.... then he said he had some family or personal problems etc..
The quality of the work was not great. The rail caps on the front landing were screwed in so tightly  that the wood split and the edges bowed or winged up and the front caps were not the same as the back caps.
The same thing with the top rails on the deck, and the mitered cuts did not line up. The ballisters were crooked and leaning opposite ways. He did come back and fix some of them and would have come back again if they were still crooked but  it just wasn't worth it, I can live with the few remaining crooked ones.
When I received his final bill I saw that he had the glass pane replacement listed but he had not done it. I let him know that I was going to be deducting that from the invoice but he said that he did have the glass and would install it which he did.
