    Jim Sullivan Masonry
Our Chimney had cracks on sides and top; leaked a lot. Jim was on time to give an estimate, finish the job very efficiently. He made sure we are informed during the project. We are very happy of what he has done.

    MasonWorks LLC
MasonWorks was great, I had gotten two quotes and while their's was a little higher I went with them since they seemed more organized and professional and I am glad I did. They kept in contact when a stretch of bad weather delayed them and still completed it in a timely manner. They exceeded my expectations and I would I definitely recommend them and I'd use them again.

    Stefano's Landscaping Design and Construction
Greg and his team did a wonderful job transforming my backyard into a welcoming living area. He completed it on time and on budget. The weather wasn't cooperating for much of the spring and I had a deadline to get the project done before my daughter's graduation party. Greg went above and beyond to make sure that happened. I thought in the end I might have to lay sod to have grass for the event but Greg's team came out three times and reseeded and fertilized the lawn so that it was a plush and green on the day of the event. I was so impressed. When the project was finished, Greg didn't just disappear. He followed up to make sure everything was okay and came back a few times to make adjustments, make lighting and replant where plants had not taken. He was always responsive and kept on top of everything that was going on. He never tried to oversell me with additional work. Everything was done exactly as it was supposed to be. I couldn't have been happier with Greg and his team. In fact I have hired him to do the maintenance in the yard now and have continued to be pleased with his work. I have hired a lot of contractors in my life to do projects big and small and Stefano's was definitely one of the best I have ever hired. I would highly recommend them.

    Bonanno Construction Inc
The work that was done is fantastic. I am so happy with the results. The retaining walls look brand new and the new steps from the driveway leading up to the front door and the walkway itself look amazing. We also had new front steps put in. I am very pleased with the results and highly recommend Bob Bonnano and his crew. He called me back right away and the job started promptly.

    Cagnina Masonry & Landscaping
Excellent service. At work early and stayed right on schedule. One of the Masons was Jacks son and he and his work partner were polite, focused, skilled, and job site was immaculate at the end of each work day. Jack came out to the job site each day to progress and check the work. Great guy who knows the trade. At end of job he was right on his estimate number despite a few obstacles with the old stairs. I will hire these guys again in a heartbeat for any future work.

    MasonWorks LLC
The initial quoting process went well. I liked the fact that there were details  on the quote about how the work would be done. Since I decided to go with the blocks instead of stone for the retaining wall after getting several quotes, and MasonWorks Landscapes did not do blocks/segmented wall (I found out later after the quoting), I went with another company to build the retaining wall.
After the retaining wall was done, I reached out to the MasonWorks Landscapes about the remaining of the project (repointing the front porch concrete wall, rebuilding the walkway and front steps). Since I would like to reduce the length of the walkway by several feet, the owner (Jeff Souza) of MasonWorks Landscapes wanted to see the job again before he was willing to adjust the quote. We made an appointment to meet at 8:15am of 10/08/2015.
I waited at home in the morning of 10/08/2015. It was already 8:30AM, but I had not heard door bell rang or received any phone call about possible late arrival. So I called Jeff' at 8:32am. No one answered the phone so I left a voice message to ask Jeff to call me back. I did not get any call back either. It was already 8:51am and I had to go to work. Before heading out for work, I emailed Jeff asking why he did not show up or return my phone call.  This is the exact reply I got from him "I we will not do your job. You can have the same guy that built your wall do your walkway". So it appears that Jeff did come to my house and walked away without bothering to notify me after he saw the retaining wall. I think that was very unprofessional. Even though he probably had every right not to do the work, he should not let me wait since we had an appointment. This is the first contractor I have encountered so far who walked away only because he did not get the whole project. I guess he probably had no concern of turning down customers since he had high rating on Angie's List.
Here I would like to ask MasonWorks Landscapes to put their hidden rule upfront in the quote to all their potential customers,i.e. you will not take the job if you do not get the whole project. And you do not do block/segmented retaining wall. This way, you will not waste your potential customers' time and your time too. I hope future customers be careful when dealing with this company to make sure they can do all what you want to do.

    Nathan Alan Construction
Nathan is a professional in every way. This young man knows plastering as he comes from generations of plasterers. He was a pleasant, hard-working and meticulous craftsman. He responded immediately to my calls and showed up at precisely the time he promised. Nathan is the type of craftsman we all hope to find. His work was outstanding.

    Jim Sullivan Masonry

Timing wise, job proceed pretty much according to Jim's plan. No problems or issues. Brick veneer looks like new. Nice and clean and sealed.  Stone stoop had been coming apart. Jim repaired. It also looks great. They were a bit sloppy, but no big deal.

    Accurate Masonry Construction
For this job, we had the recommendation of neighbor who had the same project completed 4 years ago. Louis and his team showed up on time, communicated with us effectively, and did a thorough and excellent job, with much focus on details. All of the work (excavation, addition of new gravel and mesh cables, pouring of concrete and leveling) was completed in 3 days. We were also given the follow-up instructions that we needed (e.g., you can walk on it in one day, but don't drive on it for 30 days), which we complied with.  It has been 7 weeks now, and we are very happy with the result. Working with Louis was a pleasant experience, and we would hire him again.

    All Under One Roof
Generally speaking this company seems OK.
However they refused to repair or replace the rotten rake board and trim board. And it sounds they charge a lot to do this next year.
I understand they are very busy these days, however after talking with 3 other professionals, they all can do this repair. It is only all under one roof which is not willing do this. I feel that all under one roof just do not want to do my business.
I am wondering what if  some defects are discovered after tearing off the roof? Are they going to repair it or ignore it?
This is very disappointing. They forgot that the best company is the ones who understand customer's need. If you refuse customer when business is good, customer will refuse you when business is bad.

I will not spend $7000 without repair these and I do not want to stay another winter to suffer the potential problem again. My rating is purely based on comparison with other professionals, there are factors:
Professional A: $X per linear feet to replace the board+trim. To cut 2 foot at four corners will cost around $60. Primed wood, no paint.
Professional B: $X per linear feet to replace the whole board to PVC board, not including trim.
Professional C: $1X per linear feet to replace the board + trim. If it is small area, they can paint it with paint supplied from me. .
Leaving the price part, all other professionals are able to do rake board repair work. My rating on you is low basically because you do not understand customer`s pain and you can not provide one of services like other professionals. My rating has nothing to do with your job quality since I was not served, thus no comment.
