  • Darek handled everything from having the towing company drop off the car, dealing with the insurance.  He contacted me to update me on ordering parts, when the car was going out for paint, when he expected it to be back.  He had it done ahead of when I needed it, and, to quote my husband, "it looks better than when she bought it".  
    One of the best perks Imperial Auto offered over other auto body shops I've dealt with was they accept credit card.  Most places have insisted on the deductible being paid in cash or check.  Given the proximity of Christmas, I didn't have $500 extra cash and was so thankful they took credit card.  
    Darek also met with me in the evening to pick up my vehicle, went over everything with me to ensure I was satisfied with the work.  He asked me to call after I'd driven it for a while to make sure there were no problems.  His staff even left a tiny box of chocolates in my center console.  In my opinion, Imperial Auto was great to deal with from a quality of work and level of professionalism, but they really took the extra step to distiguish themselves with their customer service.

  • This is the second time we've used Imperial for fixing my wife’s new car. Both times the customer service has been outstanding. This time was a relatively minor rear end collision, but the previous repair was from a delivery truck hitting the front corner of the car when it was less than six months old. In the first repair, I had a minor complaint about the paint work and Darek insisted on taking the car back and fixing it. No debate or argument. He provided a rental car, turned the rework around quickly and delivered an absolutely perfect result. The most recent repair was flawless the first time through.
    I almost didn't choose Imperial the first time, as they weren't on my insurance company’s ‘preferred’ list, but my last experience with a ‘preferred’ shop was poor and Imperial was highly recommended by a co-worker. Darek took the time to answer my many questions, show me around his shop, and made me comfortable that he would put the car back to like-new condition.
    I highly recommend Imperial. It’s great to work with someone who takes such pride in their business and customer service.

  • They are amazing.  Their service in general is above and beyond what I would expect.  They once returned a battery that they felt wasn’t operating as it should.  I never would have known that.  They called the manufacturer and had them take it back.  They could have just charged me for a new battery.  I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

  • Boutiette's was the second shop we checked.  The location didn't seem to be fancy, but it's clean and orderly, and people were friendly and responsive.  They were pretty booked so we set a date 2 weeks later.

    I think the insurance inspector set the cost to be around $1300, and we pay $500 deductible.  2 weeks later I dropped off the car, did quick paperwork, and that's it.  After 4 days they called me up and I went there to pick up the car.  It looked just as expected - good as new. 

    Since they handled billing (as would the other shop we checked), so I couldn't really know the cost comparison.  Their service process was quick, clear, and all people involved were friendly and professional.

  • I visited 3 auto body shops before choosing BODYWORKS. They answered all my questions and I looked at a couple of vehicles in their yard waiting for pickup. I couldn't tell which portions of the cars had been repaired. Because of the rain/snow weather and the fact that my driver's door couldn't be closed they suggested that I keep the car in my garage for two days. When it was delivered to them they called to say they had received it and that it would be ready by the end of the following week. During the repair they found additional damage and took care of dealing with the insurance company for the additional charges.The following Wednesday they called to say it would be ready for pickup the next day. They were very pleasant to deal with and very knowledgable about their work. The seems between the new door and fender are perfectly lined up and the paint match and striping are also perfect.

  • I chose this auto body shop because it was on the "preferred" provider list of Amica Mutual Insurance and highly rated by Angie's List.

    When I initially made contact for an appointment via the telephone, I was greeted by a friendly, professional woman who booked a mutually convenient time.

    When I arrived on Monday, August 8th, the shop was on a side-street with mixed residential and commercial neighborhood.  Parking was somewhat tight, with residential overnight parking and private commercial parking lots.  When I found a parking space on the street, I walked into the shop, where I met Ken, one of the service advisors.  I described my situation and he was able to photocopy the information from the insurance appraiser estimate in order to make arrangement for ordering the appropriate parts, etc.  Because my car was still drivable, I decided to return for the repair when the part was in; otherwise, I had the option of taking out a rental via Enterprise Car Rental on-site.  I let Ken know that I would need a rental car for the duration of the repair; because I had the rental care coverage of $30/day under my insurance policy, he was going to arrange this with Enterprise Car Rental.  Ken was able to get back to me the same afternoon, informing me that the part would be in the shop by Thursday, August 11th, but because it would be a two-day repair, we arranged for me to drop off the car on Monday, August 15th.

    On Monday, August 15th, I arrived when the shop opened at 8:00 AM.  There was an Enterprise Car Rental agent on-site with my information on a pre-printed rental agreement.  After dropping off the keys and picking up the rental, it was a less than 20 minute affair.  The quote for the insurance-related repair was ~$160 more than the insurance appraiser estimate, but he reviewed this directly with Amica without involving me.  Ken was able to telephone me with a repair estimate for the out-of-pocket front bumper damage of $455 (I had previously gotten repair estimates ranging from $550 from another body shop to $650 from Prime Toyota), I then instructed him to go ahead with the repair.  He had given me the options of doing a localized repair without removing the bumper which would have been $200-300, but there might be some differences in paint color, or the recommended repair of removing the front bumper in order to blend in the repair which would have been ~$400-450 related to the extra labor.

    In trying to plan for the rental car return and my car pick-up, I called up Ken on Wednesday, August 17th.  I was informed that the repair would be completed by 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 18th.  Because of my schedule, I made arrangement to pick-up my car on Friday, August 19th at 8:00 AM.

    On Friday, August 19th at 7:59 AM, I received a call on me cell phone as I was parking the rental car down the street from the shop.  It was Ken informing me that while parked overnight, the rear bumper got scratched by another vehicle in a hit-and-run.  When I walked into the shop, he apologized again.  He then stated that after talking with the foreman about my situation, he was having the rear bumper re-repaired and that the car would be ready for delivery by 2:00 PM that afternoon.  After this, I left for work.

    Because of my schedule, I returned to pick up my car at 5:55 PM, right before the 6:00 PM closing time.  I had called 15 minutes ahead asking about other options should I not make it in before closing time; they were also open on Saturdays until 1:00 PM.  But because I worked relatively close by, the front-office clerk stated that it wouldn't be a problem even if I was to arrive a little past 6:00 PM.  I was able to drop off the rental car at the shop.  When I arrived, the total for the repairs was exactly as we had previously discussed.  On inspection, the entire car was washed on the outside and cleaned on the inside.  The bodywork and paint was very professional; color match was great.  The repair made my car look almost new, like the day I drove off the dealer lot.

    All in all, I would highly recommend this shop for auto body repair.
