A&L Heating, Cooling & Home Improvements
Excellent, a proposal was prompting secured and was the most competitives. All phone calls, text messages and emails were promptly responded to. They assisted in securing a MA Save heating loan and rebate again promptly and professionally. This is the second time we used A&L and they were were excellent

    Pioneer Heating & Cooling
Very well. The team works together in a very pleasant way., efficient, friendly, informative, and tidy. They were exactly on time and seemed to take real pride in their work. They finished exactly on time, even though there was an unexpected difficulty to deal with. I recommend them very highly.

RICH STRONG AIR COND & HEATING
Was told on the phone the company does not normally do residential work although their website says otherwise. Was asked to leave contact information so they could get back to me to arrange a survey. Never heard from them again.

RICH STRONG AIR COND & HEATING
Was told on the phone that they don't ordinarily work for homeowners even though their website specifically says they do residential work. Was asked to leave my contact information so they could get back to me to arrange a survey. Never heard from them again.

    EWS PLUMBING & HEATING INC
They were good. They were responsible and on time. They come and my sense is that they are honest. My hope is that I can save my penny and next time I had some trouble may be I can upgrade to a newer more energy efficient system. I would use them in the future.

    Pioneer Heating & Cooling
From the get-go, Nick Ruggiano, their honcho, was so on top of everything. He showed up the day the furnace died, explained our options, did a thorough assessment of our set-up, and scheduled both installations. Mike and Tim, two of Pioneer's all-star installers, showed up exactly on time, and worked like demons in our horrible 4-foot crawl space for hours. They were so neat, cheerful, and on the job. We now have heat. It's possible the whole thing could conk out for whatever reason, but I trust the company to stand behind their work here. They will return in the spring to finish the testing of the AC system since it was too cold to do so today. I've said this on Angie's List before: If you answer phone calls promptly, show up on time, know your stuff, and are just all-around good people, there is plenty of work for businesses like Pioneer. No, we're not related to them, but I'm old enough to have had lots of work done and know a top-flight business when I see it. These guys are the best!

It went well so far. Jeff was here an hour and explained every step. He worked so efficiently and was really professional. I plan to sign up for their AC/Furnace maintenance though he didn't push that at all. It was one of those things I'd been planning to do but never got around to. Now I'll go with Pioneer for that.

Dustbusters Duct Cleaning and IAQ Services LLC
I had never had the ducts cleaned and was apprehensive about the process.  Joe (the owner) was very patient and described to me in detail exactly what would happen.    On the day of the appointment the technician (Lester) arrived right on time and got to work.    Lester was meticulous and very respectful of my home and of my 17 year old dog.   He explained everything and went from room to room working quietly.   He took a photo of my ducts before and after and wow what a difference.  I regret not asking for a copy of the photo just as a reminder as to 'why' it's important to have the duct system cleaned.
I have recommended Dustbusters to neighbors and to my sister!

    KC Mechanical LLC
I had listed the dates when I would like the service to be done on the Angie's list form.  The provider didn't contact me for more than a week and even then only after I contacted Angie's list to ask them to please have this company contact me.  When they did contact me and I spoke in person with the man doing scheduling, they said they couldn't come until many weeks later (-- I think they were booking about 6-8 weeks out).   They said they worked commercial jobs mainly but had a few days a month when they did residential jobs so that's part of why the work couldn't be scheduled for many weeks.  When I asked if I could speak with the owner of company about scheduling, I was told no. They wouldn't tell me who the owner of the company was and they said if I left my number he wouldn't call me.  That was true.  I left my number and he never called. I got a refund from Angie's list for both the deals through this company.

    AM PM Plumbing & Heating
We bought out house a few years ago and had hired this company to do some work. We were VERY pleased initially, he was responsive and did a quick, quality job. However the third time we called we were extremely disappointed.
It went very badly. Mitch came to repair the connection, but cut the connection, and did not replace the cut piece. He tried to clamp it. I called back to tell him I smelled gas (our bedrooms are right over the furnace) and he said he would not come back that evening - and it should be fine. I was so terrified of the gas smell, I called the gas company who told me to shut the gas off at the main. We burn with a wood stove and it was a complete fire hazard. I called him back and he was extremely rude.
I called the second day saying I smelled gas and when was he able to come - he was frustrated and angry on the phone.  I called the DPW and Town to see if there were any consume complaints about this business and if it was by code to cut the connection without replacing it, and just clamp it. I was so upset that we smelled gas and he did not want to come to fix the issue until the following day despite that we were in the middle of winter while we were burning wood.
After consulting with my family, I put some soapy water on the connection to see if it bubbled, so I could verify a leak in the gas line and it did. I then took a picture of it.
When he came by the next day, he wanted to replace the clamp again, rather than replace the piece he had cut he was angry and frustrated, said there was no leak - and he did not smell it.  I then had to show him the picture so he would believe me and I asked him to put in a completely new connector so there would be no leak. He agreed and I agreed to not call back if there was an issue, I would call someone else.
The entire experience was upsetting and I joined Angies list to make sure this does not happen again.  At least on this site, you can review people and see what their experience was. I did not want to leave a poor review, and in the end at least he fixed the problem. However, It was an extremely frustrating and terrifying experience when you have a gas leak and burn wood - you don't want to be careless with the safety of your family.
