    Siano Appliance Service
They were prompt to come out. I wasn't there because I live in St. Louis so I wasn't there when they did the service. They came out quickly and got it done. It was fine. My interactions over the phone were good. The work turned out fine. I would recommend them.

I had a houseful of company when my refrigerator stopped being cold. My phone call was returned within 15 minutes, he came right away. Within an hour he was gone and my refrigerator was working well. I really appreciated the promptness of his action.

    Mark's Appliance Sales & Service
I contacted Mark because our 3-year old fridge was leaking a fairly large puddle about once a week. All efforts to fix it ourselves didn't work. Mark answered the phone on the first call and we arranged an appointment. He showed up exactly on time, found the problem immediately and told me he would have to order a part. (The visit would've cost around $100 if the fridge didn't need a new part.) He returned, installed the part, and the leak is gone.
Mark, a former Maytag repairman, is a cheeful, efficient person. His price is much less than the $300 warranty Maytag offered after much back and forth. Plus I would've had to pay for a visit anyway. I can't believe a three-year old fridge would leak in the first place., so I'd better put Mark on speed dial!

    Mark's Appliance Sales & Service
Mark was right on time and did a fantastic job removing the old microwave, and installing the new one over the stove in my kitchen. He worked very efficiently and I was very pleased with the whole operation (which he completed within 1 hour).  He also took the old unit for recycling, as well as the box and packaging that the new microwave came in.
Mark was very pleasant and I would definitely use him again in the future.  I may have a new dishwasher that needs installation soon.

I've been calling Bob to repair my washer and dryer over the past year and a half. He's worked on my washer and dryer in my apartment and I just called him today to take a look at our washer in the house we just purchased. Bob is fantastic! Professional and always quick to respond. He charges a flat fee to come out regardless of what he does, but he is ALWAYS fair about it and tries to give a break where he can. He is very knowledgeable. We always appreciate his help and advice! I recommend him to anyone looking for a good appliance repairman. Thanks Bob!

    Home Depot
We have gone all electric - Ryubi Lawn Mower, Chain Saw, Hedge Trimmer and Weed Whacker. When one battery stopped working (even though it was showing that it was full) I made a trip to Home Depot. Without looking at a receipt they replaced the battery from another model which is ~$100 itself.
The people that work there are extremely nice and gave us their full knowledge on all the projects we wanted to work with. I love going there and learning.

They did a very professional job.  It wasn't a huge production.  They showed up, did their job, and left.  They were polite, explained what had happened and what to look for if it should ever happen again.  No drama.  No egos.  Just a good job.

    Gauger's Appliance Repair
see above. It ended up that Whirlpool, the maker of my washing machine, had recalled a part and their authorized people in the area -- Advantage Appliance -- came immediately and fixed the machine perfectly at no charge.

    Sears Appliance Repair
We have a Sears washing machine that was out of commission for six weeks or more.  It failed the repair attempts one after another, but it is working now.  They finally brought someone in who was able to diagnose it.  They hired a repair company to do the work.  The original warranty had expired, but we have purchased the service contract.  The problem was that the repair people could not come up with the correct diagnosis for many many weeks.  The repairs would happen only on Thursdays.  If something was not done, then the earliest they could respond would be one week later, and often it was 2 or 3 weeks before they could respond.  Finally someone came around, a different person who was better at doing the diagnosis.  The response of the repair people was very low.  Their ability to diagnose the problem was very poor.  The washing machines available in the market are very complex to repair, but these people are trained and this is the only job that they do.  If the job is harder then they are trained to do the harder job; so they let me down.
