Landscaping reviews in Amesbury

  • Frank performed the work. He is unreliable and unresponsive when there are issues. I have tried multiple times to get work performed under warranty to no avail. Frank just ignores calls and text. Once he gets your money, he doesn't care about lasting quality of his work. Do not recommmend him for anything. Much better company's to hire that stand behind their work. GCS is not one of them.

  • We were very pleased with the service. They came the next day while I was at work and when I got home the pine was down and cut up for me. They invoiced me via email and I paid by credit card. I was concerned that it would be a problem getting someone who could take the tree down because the tree was in a wooded area with no way to get to it with a truck. They were able to do the job with climbing gear, no truck needed. Photo shows broken pine leaning against supporting pine.

  • I hired Brendan last summer to do the landscaping in my property. Everything went very well, his price was reasonable and he was very responsive. I asked him if he could take care of the snow removal, with a snow blower, and he said he would like to do it, for $60/each time. He showed up last Thursday after a snow storm and made sure I could get my car out, but said he would have to come back because he had other properties to attend to. He didn't show the next day, but he did the day after. Then we had another snow storm last Monday and he didn't show up at all. He said he would send someone this morning; the guy showed up with a shovel, cleaned up the space around my car, but left a two-feet high pile of snow blocking my car from the street. I guess he thought my car would be able to push through it. Where was the equipment I was promised? I spent 30 minutes shoveling my way out so I could get to work. If you cannot handle the assignment, why do you commit to it? Are customers supposed to pay for a service and then do the work themselves? Now it's mid-February and I'm stuck looking for a replacement for the remainder of the winter. Very professional indeed. Never again.

  • After a very untimely breakdown of my snowblower during a blizzard, I was concerned I wouldn't be able to get it fixed quickly as another storm was coming right behind it. I had used Little Mower Shop in the past for a tuneup, so they were my first call for help. Being 8pm during a storm I was expecting to leave a voicemail, but to my surprise my call was answered immediately. I was initially given a 1-week window for a repair appointment (understandable considering the volume of repair requests during a snowstorm), but the next morning I was shocked to receive a call asking if Bob could come that morning! Needless to say I accepted the earlier appointment. Bob came on time and had my snowblower back to running 100% in less than an hour...he even saved me some money in the process! Work was done perfectly! Bob was a true professional. I will be calling on Little Mower shop again soon to get my snowblower ready for summer storage and highly suggest giving them a call.

  • Eric was very responsive, returned all my calls and made sure to let me know when he could come over, including calling me when he said he was going to be a little late. We went over what I needed to have done and offered his expert opinion on every task. He recommended having the work done much later in the season because the work included grass planting. I took his advice but I got an estimate right on the spot. Overall I got a very good impression and would consider hiring him to do the work when the time comes.

  • Quality of the cut and the price were awesome.  However, a few times during the course of the summer we didn't get our cuts regularly and our lawn got quite long.  Then, at the end of the summer, our lawn stopped being mowed.  When we called and texted to ask what was going on they did not respond to our calls or texts. We had to find another landscaper in a pinch.

  • I came home yesterday to a fresh and clean yard and I was thrilled. It made me so happy to see the grounds- there had been a LOT of leaves- and now the yard is ready (when weather allows) for me to do my flower annuals. I was happy that Tony did not have a problem with my request that the yard be raked and not machine blown.

  • It is absolutely beautiful. Lou knew what I was looking for and made it happen. The took down old walls, new electrical updated from old codes. new lighting, new open concept. new floors. They got rid of squeaky uneven floors...(amazing). Skylights, new walls and paint, new ceilings. Everything I could ask for. He also redid a very old outdated bathroom. They started new after ripping everything out down to the studs, and all new construction. Beautiful glass tiles on the walls, marble floor. New toilet, pedestal sink. New walls, and ceiling. New electrical and plumbing. He had also done a kitchen over for me at another property. New cabinets. new walls and flooring. he also had the gas line moved to another room for washer and dryer, so they could be side by side in another room. Very helpful. New tile on the counter top very convenient for taking hot pans off the stove or out of the oven. we love it. I have used his company also for a deck. off of the dining room. New sliding glass doors open up to a beautiful deck. they took an old dead tree down. poured the foundation and made a perfect spot in a not so perfect area in the back yard. Its a great and long overdue addition to the property.

  • I believe I found them on Angie's List. They are kind of a franchise. They come, like, every month. My lawn is still in treatment so I will have to wait until next year to see if it paid off.

  • Everyone at Ground Care was a pleasure to work with.  They were all friendly, professional, punctual, and informative about what they were doing.   They seemed to enjoy working together and took pride in their hard work.  The manager, Jovin, came out a couple of times to discuss the job.  He was very helpful, pleasant, and professional.   He always returned my calls and e-mails.   I appreciated the good communication between us.
The yard looks great.    I have no doubt if there are any problems, they will take care of them.  I will not hesitate to have them again for future jobs.
