It is appropriate at this point to mention that I won a judgment against Mr. Langston for the money I had to pay a competent contractor to finish the job plus interest.  Throughout his time with us, he was totally incompetent.  Very scattered and agreed to do everything, but completed nothing.
Here's how it went down.  The first mistake I made was to front him 1/2 of the money.  He was fighting another person in court & essentially used my deposit money to fight his other court case. In some ways, it was a Ponzi Scheme.  He used my money to pay someone else, in this case, his lawyer.    After 6 weeks into the project & a small amount of work done, he asked for $1000 more.  His actual payment schedule he wanted differed significantly from the contract because "things don't necessarily go in the order as planned" and we trusted him.
After initially agreeing the cabinets would be finished off site, I had to personally finish urethaning since the quality was so bad and he had delivered them before finishing them as promised.  The pieces he brought over felt like sandpaper.  Terrible! I had to add 4-6 coats in all cases just to make it bearable to live with. Stain color from piece to piece was not uniform with many drips.  Some cabinets had only 2 coats others up to 4 when we agreed upon a minimum of 6.  Provided incorrect recessed light positioning for ceiling lights ? had to be repositioned at my expense.  Many re manufactured pieces during the course of the project due to poor quality.  He broke an outdoor electrical socket & didn't acknowledge or repair it.   When he worked at the house, he would leave the kitchen a complete mess for us to clean up after he left.
During his lunch hours, he would sit in his truck & talk & text on the phone.  He did this constantly during the course of the day as well when he decided to show up. During a 4-5 hour day at our house, he'd work probably  1/1/2 hours. All of the other time he'd spend in his truck.  He would start his work day until 10:30 at best & was out the door by 2:00 - 2:30.  Keep in mind he took a lunch hour too!
During the 19 months (not 2 months) on this project, Mr. Langston continually lied about the status of the project.  He also would commit to being at my house for a scheduled meeting or installation and would simply not show up.  No call, no email, nothing.  This happened 40-50 times. There was another 25 times where he showed up late, sometimes 3-4 hours late!  He has absolutely no regard for your personal time.  You don't matter.   I had to cancel the granite templating 3 times because of his missed commitments. I was being threatened by the granite supplier for storage charges because we were so late.
One last item.  There was a bone of contention between us regarding the door/drawer style we had chosen.  We had supplied him with 5 photos of the door/drawer we wanted including a shop drawing we found a full 1 year before he began this work.  He either lost each piece of paper or did it his own way.  Either way, we didn't like it & he didn't like having to make the drawers again.
After 15 months of frustration, on June 6, 2012,  Mr. Langston said he would come over the next day to work & never showed up
again.   On July 9th, I made contact with Kate Alexander through the AG?s office to start mediation, giving him one last chance.  Mr. Langston agreed to mediate & the result was to complete all of the manufacturing by 8/17 & installation by 8/27. Once he agreed to the mediation terms, neither the Kate nor I heard from him again. On 8/27, Mr. Langston was terminated.
At this point, I hired a competent carpenter to fix the mess.  The contractor was able to complete the remaining work in 5 weeks from start to finish.  This would have taken Mr. Langston another year to complete.
Stay away from this contractor or suffer the same fate we did.
