  • I cannot praise these folks more. Kristin, my audiologist and hearing aid fitter, is remarkable. She clearly has a passion for her profession and her patients. She spent all the time I needed, and more. The testing was thorough and then some. Then, in fitting my hearing aids she did not stop until they were perfect in every way. Several visits (including one not scheduled to accommodate me when I needed an adjustment prior to traveling), multiple adjustments, a full explanation, and all the time necessary until I was happy.

I'm not crazy about needing hearing aids. But Kristen made sure I hardly notice them except that I can hear so much more clearly.

There was a bit of sticker shock when she told me the price. But some research proved that what I was charged is well within the industry norm.

    These folks are wonderful.

  • The fellow I go to is excellent, personal, warm, comforting, understanding, and technically fine. I've been going to him for 30 years. I'm multiply handicapped, he knew me before the accident, and he was the only doctor who was willing to take me with multiple problems.

  • My doctor's name is Dr. Kanef and he is at Lahey Clinic. I like Matt, I've known him for well over twenty years. He comes at things with a very positive way. He is very good at explaining the situation to you so that you can make a good decision on what you want to do. He has been prompt in his referrals to other specialists as it relates to anything that I may have had and I just have a lot of trust build up over twenty years with Matt. The office environment, that's Lahey Clinic, that's pretty much top notch, they have not only their own, he is an internal medicine man but they have a hospital that's pretty much a one stop shopping situation for health care at Lahey.

  • Instead, we were first required to meet with a doctor. They suggested we might want several additional vaccines. I thought that they all seemed potentially useful and I carry excellent insurance, so I accepted the shots. They said absolutely nothing about the extraordinary expense of one of these vaccines, nor did they mention that my insurance would not cover many of these immunizations. The same thing happened when my wife visited Acton Medical except that she chose to not take one of the shots. Again, they said nothing about the expense.
Then the bills arrived. It took several months to get Acton Medical to bill several of these vaccinations correctly, so that my insurance would cover them. After my insurance paid their part, the bill was still over $700. including $554 for one vaccine! You might agree with us that Acton Medical should have disclosed this level of expense when they offered this vaccine. I argued with them for months, saying that they should have told me how expensive this vaccine is. Had I been aware of the cost, I would not have taken that one. I offered to share this outrageous fee 50/50, since they had misled me, but I had received the vaccine, but they refused.
We will never go back and would not recommend this facility to anyone.

  • I've always had good luck at Tufts Medical Center. I think they're very patient and always available. I've never had any bad experiences at Tufts Medical Center. The staff is very good, including those in reception. I would use them again in the future.

  • I like their proximity but I am looking for a new one. They are professional. But, I am on long term medications and I don't find them to be very understanding of that care. We moved to the area about a year and a half ago and I have been under medication for much longer and they don't really follow the records as well. They are a little bit more time consuming with the care that they want to do.

  • I was pleased with the staff as I began setting and coordinating doctors, the staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. We are using both Pediatric and Internal doctors. Since I set up I did need make two pediatric emergency calls and was incredibly pleased the response time. We have also had scheduled appointments and was pleased with the wait times and interaction with the staff. All the doctors we have seen since we joined this practice have been wonderful. They listened and took their time with us, I never felt rushed.

  • The office is well organized. All records are computerized. When the practitioners come into the room they have laptop computer and they upload the medical information on site so there is no delay. If you have lab work to do, there is no paperwork needed for you. You simply walk down to the lab and they are ready for you.

  • Dr. Girolamo was rude and seemed to know very little about the medications we discussed. He does not listen to patients or give them the benefit of the doubt. The office staff is very pleasant to deal with, but I have since switched doctors.

  • I have been with the practice for two years now and I have had four primary doctors. This medical group has a core of doctors who have been there a while and have a great reputation. The problem is their practice is closed to new patients or they have switched to an open booking appointment format which is very difficult to work with since it means you can only book for up to three days ahead. Extremely difficult for those of us who have to schedule appointments out rather than have the flexibility of immediate appointments. My biggest problem is that I feel I am not getting quality health care because my primary doctor keeps switching due to a significant amount of turnover in the practice. They have no idea who I am and I have to start from scratch each time which is problem when it comes to managed care. Talking about having to be your own advocate. The final straw was today when I was trying to get in for a sick vist and I was told that it would be a week from now at the earliest to be seen! So what? I have to go to the emergency room for something which I should be able to be seen by my primary for? It is maddening....Things have seemed to have got much worse in the past six months or so there. When i first came to their practice i loved it. But now to have to deal with the frustrations of having to wait when sick on top of being sick...Unfortunately I can no longer recommend them to anyone. I hope this is not the future of healthcare or we are all in trouble.
