    Needle Brothers Landscaping & Masonry
Over the summer, we met with Bryan of Needle Brothers. He came to our house, listened to what we wanted done, suggested ideas that he thought would look good, and quoted us a price for regrading of our yard, drainage, excavation, and a patio with retaining wall. When the scope of the work changed at the start of the project, Bryan had additional equipment brought in with experienced operators and he came up with creative ideas for keeping the added cost reasonable. He did not need to do this for us, but it was greatly appreciated and showed the kind of honest and caring business he runs. All employees of Needle Brothers were hard working, dedicated, and experienced. In the end, Bryan had additional fill and top soil brought in to level the yard, the yard was regraded, drainage put in, and a patio with retaining wall was installed. I would highly recommend Needle Brothers and particularly Bryan or Patrick, to oversee the project.

    Wilson Cleaning Services
Wilson and his crew did a great job. They were in frequent communication with me to schedule the estimate and services around my schedule and the weather. They were professional and worked extremely quickly and my yard looks great. Also, their price was very reasonable. I will definitely use them for my yard clean-up in the future.

    Northeast Hardscape & Masonry
The work completed was excellent. Justin communicated very well, and was very quick to get back to me with any answers to questions I had. The wall looks amazing and Justin and his team went so far as to relocate a downspout of mine so that it no longer draped over the retaining wall. All in all I am incredibly pleased with the work and would definitely use Justin's services again.

    MJ Nicholls Landscaping LLC
They arrived the day tropical storm Jose was going to impact the New England area. I had my doubts, but they read the forecast better than I did, and things went along great. They made sure I was happy with the job by doing a quick walk through. They came the next day to hydroseed the area.

It went ok. They diagnosed a defective carberator, so the Big Deal didn't really work for me. They did what they said they were going to do, and I decided not to replace the carberator. I would use them again in the future. The big deal was a good price. Responsiveness was very good. They were right on time.

    Walnut Tree Services, Inc
These guys are great! Four man crew, worked tirelessly for 13 hours on my property.  They were very exact, did not damage any of other bushes or trees with falling limbs.   In the back of my yard they had to climb the trees with ropes since a bucket truck could not enter.  They were very complete....spending several hours disentangling the Wisteria from the two remaining pine trees and then another couple of hours removing heavy ivy vines that had engulfed a maple tree.  Michael (the lead guy) was meticulus in his work....and he prided himself on making the trees look good in addition to just removing dead branches. They were very thorough in their clean up also....no wood chips or stray branches left on the lawn or any of my driveway.  He also willingly did a few extra things...trimming back some bushes that were extending into my driveway; cutting away some climbing vines around the front door porch overhang; and fixing one of my shingles that had popped up on my roof at the base of my chimney.  I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.  In fact I am going to send them to my daughter's house to deal with her trees one of which has fallen in the back yard.

    Macauley Brothers Inc
We had several Angie's List contractors come by to give us estimates to our project. While MacCauley Brothers was at the upper end of the prices we got, it was apparent to us that Bernie was the most knowledgeable of any of the contractors. He came up with a couple great ideas to make our project look even better. One idea was the re-route the water from a drain spout on the garage to an output in our lawn so all that water is now diverted from going on to our driveway. He also directed us to two granite and paver suppliers that had the items we needed and delivered everything when we needed them to and a great nursery where we found a huge selection of plants for the yard.
The crew who did the work were two guys who worked hard for all six days they were on our project. They dug down about four feet of our driveway to get rid of any clay that was there. Bernie had told us that if all the clay was not removed, the pavers would end up shifting because the clay was so soft. I cannot stress enough that the job these two guys did wasphenomenal. Seriously -- like a work of art. We are fairly new to the neighborhood and whenthe work was done, while we would be doing some yardwork in the front yard, people would stop at our house and tell us how beautiful our driveway and walkway look. People (strangers!) have stopped their cars while driving in front of the house to tell us how great everything looks.
The cost was higher than we had anticipated but Bernie's crew did a top notch job. We have the best looking driveway and walkway in the entire neighborhood and there are very nice houses all around us. We do not regret busting the budget to get a fabulous look.
We are looking to rip up some bushes and tress from the front of our house and have already contacted MacCauley Brothers to do the work. We will continue to hire them to handle our landscaping + hardscaping projects.
