  • We found FloorWork by word of mouth.  There was a lag time associated with completion of the order because the granite had to be ordered (this is very normal especially because we do not live in or near a large metropolis).  FloorWorks subcontracted out the granite work (again not uncommon) and we were very happy with their subcontractor.  The lead installer also fabricated and cut all the granite openings.  He wasn't happy with the way one edge was lining up, took it back to his shop, re-fabricated part of it, and finally installed it.  A perfectionist!  From first contact until we were done was approximately 6 weeks, but all of that was on us-- we wanted to wait to order floor tile so we could color coordinate it with the granite.  We could not be happier with the service!  By far, they were better than any other service industry we've worked with.  Our only "complaint" isn't so much with FloorWorks but with what seems to be a regional issue with contractors who do floors, windows, etc…, and that is their showrooms are only open Monday thru Friday from 8AM to 5PM.  If you work (like we both do) you have to take time out of your work day to coordinate anything.  But FloorWorks were extremely accommodating, often coming out at the end of the day (and even after they'd normally be closed) to measure floors and cabinets and assist us in our home.  We will absolutely be using them in the future!

  • Ambassador Construction was contacted around the end of September of 2012 to provide repair services for storm damage. Over the next several months I paid him a good bit from the insurance money and the roof was put on the house but very little work was done due to issues with both the Thanksgiving & Christmas holiday. I also work offshore and during the times I was gone very little communication happened and I began to feel he was using these times to work on other projects other than my residence. In the beginning he would e-mail photos of the progress but over a few months time these stopped coming. After March/April of 2013 he just stopped returning phone calls nor responded to any e-mails and never sent any photo updates. With the repairs basically 50% complete after more than 7 months, he simply stopped communications. Ambassador has left me high & dry having to find another contractor.

  • I have used them for about 3 years but most resent was last October for some shower work I needed done. the one thing that makes A Bell Plumbing stand out is because he is trustworthy. He does a very good job and is reasonable and I would give him an A rating.

  • A total nightmare. He ruined the staining of the cabinets. He began by applying the finish in the building where they were built. There was so much sawdust in the air that the cabinets  felt like sandpaper. They are unevenly stained and look like something you would see in an old trailer. Guess that is what happens when you use guys from the local halfway house to do work they are not trained to do. He left the runners on when he sprayed the insides of the cabinets with clear coat, I spent two days with rags and acetone getting the sealer off the runners and rollers. He came to work late, often without necessry tools and materials. It took him over half a day to install the dryrock for the backsplash, something that should have only taken a  couple of hours at most. He left early, took long lunches, and almost never worked on Monday or Friday. I painted the walls myself, the trim is still not finished, the doors were never started (He wanted to get started on those before the rest of the kitchen was finished. We halted that process when he balked at putting new hardware on the doors. He was really going to put the old, dated hardware on a brand new door and charge top dollar to do it!!) We started in March, it is July and I still do not have a completed kitchen. He would not return texts or phone calls. Eventually he just left and did not come back, and we were GLAD!!

  • He was very good.  He was really attentive and professional.  He made sure that we were satisfied and was very easy to deal with.  We were completely satisfied and the work was great.
