    Buyer Beware!
I dropped off a Kenneth Cole watch for repair on 1/23/13 for repair, the watch did not run.  It is a watch that is approximately 3 years old.  On 2/1/13 I was notified that the watch had been repaired and was ready to be picked up.  On 2/3 I stopped by to pick up the watch.  The watch was retrieved from under the counter, but when taken out of the envelope it was not running.  The attendent stated that the time was not correct, reset the time and stated the watch was running (the second hand was now moving).  The cost of the "repair" was $10.  When I arrived home the watch was not running and appeared to only have run approximately 10 minutes before stopping again.
The cost of "repair" was very reasonable, but unfortunately the watch was not repaired.  I will now locate another service who can repair the watch.  It does not appear that the watch was observed for 24 - 48 hours after repair to ensure the repairs had been made prior to contacting the client.

    Baton Rouge General - Bluebonnet
I will confine my remarks to the serious problems.
    1) Nurse did not know how to work the IV. She inserted it so shallowly that I had to keep my arm perfectly still for hours lest it come out. Instead of fixing it everyone just kept admonishing me not to move. Later they hung a bag of antibiotics on it to add to the fluids. My spouse noticed it wasn't dripping. He alerted the nurse who fiddled with the electronics on it and pronounced it OK. It took my husband to point out to her she had failed to open the valve.
    2) Doctor misprescribed drug. My pharmacist questioned the dosage on an antibiotic we were to fill, prescribed by the ER doctor. He said it was twice the normal dosage and would make me sick. So I called the ER. After much ado, the nurse on the phone said yes the dosage should be half that and when I asked why the doctor prescribed the wrong amount she said, and quot;He looked it up. He's sorry.and quot; Um, hello? Look it up BEFORE you prescribe it, bozo.
    3) ER refuses to discuss problem with Rx on phone. I have side effects from one antibiotic prescribed for me by the ER doctor. The discharge sheet says to notify doctor if this happens. So I did, and they act like, so what? After I explain the side effect, they say I need to come in for re-evaluation, which is hogwash and would cost me another whole day of waiting plus untold thousands of dollars. If you prescribe a drug that has side effects, you need to be able to tell a patient what to do should these side effects occur.
    4) They are EXCEPTIONALLY rude on the phone, misspelling and mispronouncing your name seemingly to be snotty, chomping gum, etc.
    5) unnecessary tests: I had just had (not an hour before) a chest X-ray at my doctor's office but they insisted I had to have another one.

The General at Bluebonnet may be new and pretty, but their staff gets an F. Be careful about this place! Competence is a serious issue.
