    a kitchen by design
paid 7K up front to start job and after 72 days with NO toilet, NO shower, NO sink and the job only 25% complete Dennis Almeida owner ended the contract saying he could not finish the job. That is correct 72 days with no bathroom in the house. No permits were pulled and no inspections were done. Had to join a gym just to shower. Its was quoted 3 weeks or less, all materials were on site before job started. The plumbing subs (MPS Plumbing & Training/ Kevin Richard owner) work won't pass inspection and was done by the plumbers teenage son and is nothing shy of a joke. The electrical(Trahan electric comp/Keith Trahan owner) won't pass inspection, failed to run wires, vertically stacked outlets, wrong location for heater/vent, the outlets in the bath are somehow connected to the outside lights in the front of the house, etc. etc. The flooring(Fine Line Flooring/Ronnie and Jason Pilcher) after pointing out that the floor pattern was wrong, wrong color grout, and after cutting 2 cases of glass tiles wrong, left the job saying he "was stressed". But the most incompetent person was the carpenter(Rocky Pitre/Home enhancements) not a single wall or celling is plumb or lever, wrong opening and location form the barn door, no blocking, pock door rail slopes and he used screws that were too long, did 7K in damage to AC unit etc. etc. all contractors contacted after Dennis left would not touch the job unless both bathrooms were gutted. Electricians could not figure out what was done, plumbers just shook their heads, and tile layers just said no way. Dennis ended his contract 11/21/2016 and to this day the work is not complete the damage is too extensive and costly to repair.

    Drenko Contractors, LLC
Derek (owner) got in touch with me promptly after my request for a quote.  He came by within two days and measured for the job. He emailed me the quote within 1 week.  He answered all of the questions that I had. the papers were signed  to start the job after the xmas   holidays. The addition started out with breaking up the existing concrete to lay a thicker slab which was required by  code. the concrete guy that he used was  not that competent. he was trying to do a lot of the demo by himself  I guess to save money and ended up damaging my existing steps and siding on my house with his bobcat.  He also uprooted a newly planted tree on the side of the garage by accident and  never did offer to replant it.  damaged my neighbors yard and never came back to fill in the divots.  Derek later told me  he was fired after a few other incidents on other jobs. I don't hold drenko responsible for his incompetence.  Derek was always very responsive to my request for door styles, roofing,  ect.  His workers were very experienced and did a quick and good job overall. there were a few hiccups but were taken care of by Derek.  Overall the job went fairly smooth and I don't have any   complaints. I would recommend the  company.

    Ace Plumbing & Electric
Called Monday to inquire about an estimate.  Dispatch sent out a technician same day.  The technician (Kenneth) was very polite and informative.  The plumber who worked on our house when it was being flipped apparently didn't know what they were doing.  Kenneth explained that they had installed SINK handles for the tub/shower, tried to modify things by cutting the pipes and didn't assemble the handles themselves properly.  Pieces were put in backwards.  Kenneth spoke to my husband and went to purchase handles that were appropriate for the tub/shower and matched the nickel finish.  He returned within the hour, installed the handles and explained how they should work (turn them both towards the inside).  He also let us know where we could special order fancier looking ones that would match our sink hardware. Really impressed with this company and will definitely use them again.

    NCM Renovations
Because I had lots of crown molding to be repaired and painted, floor molding to be repaired and painted, ceilings and walls to be painted, wall paper to be removed and that dry wall mudded then painted in a bathroom, appliances to be installed, and a built in oven and microwave removed and a new cabinet built, in a large 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom house, it cost about $16,000.  However, once the owner and his crew started, the workers were pulled away one day to work on another job because it was so far behind because of the rain.  This is an excellent company.  I am extremely pleased with the quality of the meticulous work I received and the fact that except for one day, once the workers began, they didn't quit until they were finished.  The work areas in my home were picked up and swept daily!! I rate this company an A++ and will recommend it to my friends.  I would definitely hire NCM Renovations again!!!

Invest In Your Kitchen & Bath, TDG Construction

My wife and I spoke to several people about this remodeling job. However, the minute we met the owners of TDG construction, we were convinced that this would be the company for us. First of all, when my wife and I decided to remodel our bathrooms we thought of new showers and toilets .The owner of TDG, Ms. Pat Raaz, saw the potential of much more than new toilets and showers. Immediately she and her staff came up with plans to utilize space that would make our bathrooms much more than we had envisioned.  They designed a bedroom bathroom that only an experience person could think of. They came in and expanded a small bedroom closet to spacious walk in closet. Their design for the bedroom bath was even more incredible. The shower wall and floor was tiled with excellent craftsmanship. The shower space was designed and crafted to be more spacious and luxurious. Every inch of space that could be used was used. This was so far beyond what my wife and I had in mind. This bathroom, walk in closet and linen closet are truly remarkable. To see it evolve from the mind of Mrs Raaz to the design stage and to the actual remodeling process was miraculous in my eyes. She has such a keen eye for design.

The main bathroom of our home was the next project. Needless to say that in a house that was built in the 1980's, the bathroom was simply outdated. Once again TDG construction designed a masterpiece.  Their design and construction resulted in a more spacious and modern bathroom. Thanks to TDG construction we are enjoying our remodeled bathrooms and closets. The ideas that they brought forth were amazing. Now we are reaping the benefits of this extraordinary company.

Too slow, invoices came in over quoted price. Workers were friendly, owner is difficult to get along with. Most of their labor is contract, never know who will be coming to the house. Much of the hardware and at least one light fixture installed has fallen off the walls or out of  the ceiling, had to have another electrician come out an unscramble electrical work inside swith plates.

The family is very friendly. They had good ideas,  but their ideas didn't work in our situation. They seemed to want to renovate our kitchen the same as the previous one they did, including materials, even though I kept telling her exactly what I wanted.  One of the drawings blocked the doorway and did not take into consideration that there was a brick wall there that we had no intentions of moving. When I told her this, she kept arguing with me and then asked me to take pictures of the wall and e-mail them to her, even though they had already taken pictures.  She obviously didn't think that the wall was where I told her it was.

We paid $1200 up front for her to do the designs.  When we finally got so frustrated, I called and told her that we were not going to be able to work together.  She asked what I would like to do and I asked if we could get some of our money back.  She said she would give us half of our money back.  I was glad to at least get some of the money back, but spent $600 for nothing, except a lesson learned.

I don't know what the answer is.  I realize that a designer can't give you a design and take a chance on not getting paid for it, but I know that we will never give anyone that much money upfront again.

    Heberts Home Repairs
Bobby did a truly outstanding work for everything we asked for. He helped with the design of the bathrooms, and the choice of material. He did the internet search for us to show the different choices for bathroom designs and he shopped around with us for the material. He would explain in detail about the different choices. He is a very happy guy always coming in with big smile. Bobby is also extremely thoughtful. His team worked very hard and always cleaned everywhere after the work each day. All the work are done beautifully. We enjoyed working with Bobby and we enjoyed our new bathrooms and build in over and microwave so much. Thank you so much, Bobby! We will definitely call Bobby again later.

Very professional and conscientious. I wish I had also used them for the tile in the shower and floor as I am sure the job would have been done so much better than was done by the tile company I chose. I did not realize they did it all. Very very pleased!

It went really well for the most part.  The work was excellent, my only complaint would be that there were a few times that the communication was off in terms of the crew showing up.  Other than that it was a great experience.  I highly recommend them.
