Drain Cleaning reviews in Kenner

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Service person arrived very quickly in same day I called in problem. This was an extremely busy time, as there were frozen and busted lines all over town due to the extremely cold weather. He immediately went to work, repaired the pipe, found no other issues, and he reinsulated the pipe. He also replaced a broken turn nozzle on faucet higher up on pipe (he didn’t have to do that). He was friendly, yet professional. Price was very reasonable.

  • I called  ROTO-ROOTER on Thursday afternoon and expected they would come out the following Monday or Tuesday. I was pleasantluy surprised when an appointment was made for Friday morning. The woman that made the appointment in the office was very courteous.
Sidney, Tech #50, was punctual, polite, informative, and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time.
I would recommend ROTO-ROOTER to my friends and neighbors.

  • Lightning fast response. I sent a  message to them at around 1:00 am and they had someone out that afternoon. My wife was impressed with the quality of the work and noted that the service representative was polite and professional. A+ to them for this job.

  • The only thing I don't like about Earls plumbing is they were unable to give me any time window. They could arrive at 9am or 5pm or any time inbetween. Once I was told they would arrive in the morning and they showed up at 5.30 pm. Other than that they're great.

  • Lenny was skilled and extremely professional in handling my drain problems.
It was quite obvious that he wasn't just concerned about earning his service fee, but was truly interested in his customer's satisfaction with his service,
He went above and beyond by providing helpful information about both the drain system that he was called out to service and also unrelated other parts of my plumbing system.
One can only hope that other service industry companies rise to this level of skill and concern for their customers.

  • They installed my new toilet and removed my old one. They are very friendly and did a wonderful job.  I used them last week for a link in my kitchen sink and a clogged up garbage disposal and they came in and cleared that out.  Just a wonderful company.

  • While the proprietor and workers were professional and friendly, the work performed was a unnecessarily long drawn out process, taking almost three months to complete.
    - A week of no work allowed my lawn to look like a bad construction site.
    - To this day we still see the damage done to our lawn as a result of the work. We had to ask the company to come back to fill in dirt where plants were removed. Apparently one must indicate all these details, like and quot;return the lawn to its previous state, and quot; when contracting with this type of contractor.
We have no idea if we paid too much for the process of ripping up the front of the house, and then digging under the slab to pull out rusted and damaged pipe and hangers. The pipes and hangers stayed on the lawn during the entire THREE MONTHS!

  • Note: The service was excellent.  I gave them a B overall rather than an A simply because the plumber/technician first quoted me an outrageous price, then wound up doing the work for the price *I* wanted after I refused to pay their so called "regular price".  That's also the reason I gave them a B rather than an A on price.
Our kitchen sink drain was clogged.  It has happened before and has been professionally snaked before, but not by this company.  I called several companies based on a yellow pages search, Angie's List search, and internet search.  So, I already knew from my search and from talking to several companies that the going price seems to be between $100 and $150 for my particular problem.
This  company (Roto-Rooter) would not quote a price via phone, but said the 'technician" would come out at no charge and evaluate my job and then quote a price which I could accept or reject.  Some companies wanted to charge just to come out and give me a quote and some companies had a fixed price. One company had a discounted price for Angie's List members but couild not come out till the following Monday.  So, I agreed to let Roto Rooter come out and give me an estimate.  They woud not quote a price on the phone.
The technician came out with 2 or 3 hours of my call.  He called me first to give me an ETA and arrived within minutes of the promised time.
The only problem, and the reason I gave them a B rather than an A, is that the technician quoted me their so called "regular fee" of OVER $200.... I think around $250.  I was shocked and told him, "No way".  I told him I had already called around and knew that the going rate was $100 to $150 dollars and that they are supposed to give a discount to Angie's List members.  He then quickly offered to do the job for $125 since he was "already here".  I agreed to that price.
He performed the work quickly and efficiently and without making a mess using an electric power snake.  He then used a camera on a snake and made a video of our drain line, letting me watch on the monitor as he made the video.  He showed us what appeared to be a "low spot" in the drain line where water accumulates and stands, rather than all running out in the sewer as it should.  He offered to let me make a copy of the CD of the viideo, but I was not able to copy it.
He then offered us a gallon of their enzyme drain clog preventer/cleaner.  It is normally about $50 a gallon, which I refused to pay.  My wife and I offered him a total of $150 for both the drain cleaning and the enzyme clog preventer.  He agreed to that, so we paid $150 total, which he wrote up as $100 for the drian cleaning and $50 for the enzyme, saying he could not discount the enzyme.
Overall, we were pleased with the service and have no complaints other than him first trying (in my opinion) to overcharge us.
    I would use them again.

  • The crew came out and inspected plumbing to two sections of the home. The climbed on the roof and inserted a camera line down the stack on each side of the home, giving a view of the plumbing from the top down. Any concerns or recommendations were given extra time on the video and space in the report. Overall, they performed well and provided an excellent review of the homes plumbing system.

  • A/C drain line clogged up due to seasonal algae growth. Checked Angie's list for local plumber's with good ratings. Selected Earl's Plumbing and Heating for their overall rating and the $30.00 off coupon included with their listing. Called Earl's Plumbing and heating at the beginning of the day, Dispatcher promised a plumber would call back 30-60 minutes before arriving and that a plumber would arrive the same day. Plumber (Glenn) called later that same day and made appointment to fix the problem.
Plumber arrived, diagnosed problem as algae growth clogging A/C drain line. Plumber snaked out the line and verified it was now clear. Plumber accepted both $30.00 off coupon print t and payment via credit card. Whole process took less than 1/2 hour.
    Drain line has remained free.
