  • Dr. Brasuell was great, very professional, but very gentle with my kid. He did prescribe fluoride supplement, but after reading articles on the internet, we decided to stop it. The main reason we decided to go with another dentist is because our insurance doesn't cover all charges, Dr. Brasuell is within the premium list, which means we pay a discounted price, but it is not completely part of our plan.

  • I visited the office in Mandeville for my children's first visit ever to the dentist. Everything about this dental visit was a disaster. I made the appointment with Dr. Jill Donaldson but when we arrived we were told that you don't see a specific dentist. We wound up seeing her father, Dr. Edward Donaldson. The waiting room had toys and video games but we were sent to a small room with nothing but a table and chairs while we waited to talk to Dr. Donaldson. We were in there for more than an hour. Yes, an hour in a small, clinical, boring room with a three year old child and a five year old child. When Dr. Donaldson did come in to meet us, he did not introduce himself to my children or even acknowledge they were in the room. He did not speak to them or try to make them feel comfortable in any way. Eventually we were taken to the room where cleanings occur. All the children sit on a bench to wait for the dentist together. There was a little girl there on the bench who was crying for her grandmother who was not around. No one was attempting to find the child's grandmother or give her any comfort whatsoever. The drilling and fillings are done in the same room as the cleanings. There is a low, half-wall that separates the areas but it is not a visual or auditory barrier. Another small child was having a tooth drilled while we were there. My children could see him crying and in obvious distress. I was told that no parents are allowed with the children while they are having fillings. After waiting for quite a while on the bench for Dr. Donaldson, he entered the room and the entire staff went into and quot;hurry up modeand quot;. They hurried my children into the exam chairs. Hurried them to put on the dental bibs. Hurried them to lie down. Never minded that my son was crying and asking what all the sharp instruments were for that were in plain sight! The dental hygienist actually told my son that if he didn't stop crying that I would have to leave the room! How was that going to calm him down? In my opinion, these people have no idea how to interact with children. The billing was also a pain! I paid what they said my insurance didn't cover when I was in the office. When I got the statement from my insurance company they said I owed a little bit more. I paid it. I continued to get bills from Bippo's Place for month's afterward. Not a single one was accurate. I think Bippo's Place should spend less money on advertising and invest in a child psychology lesson! I would never go there again and I tell everyone I know that has kids about my experience.

  • Three of my children have been to Bippo's for regular checkups and getting subsequent work done. Overall, the experience was very good and my children enjoyed going to see the dentist. I would have given them all A's except one of the dental assistants got a bit aggravated when my child complained while she was having some work done. Even with that one occasion though, I still think they do a great job and I will continue to bring my children there.

  • Friendly reception and prompt service. The hygienist was great with my 2 girls ages 3 and 5. They had their first x rays; she made it fun so they were very cooperative and relaxed. The hygienist worked past their fears and talked them through everything. They were able to perform a cleaning on the 3 year old with ease and a consult with the 5 year old for a future filling appointment. Dr. Brauswell was gentle, thorough and friendly. The anxiety my 5 year old was feeling before the appointment quickly deminished!
