    Northshore Painting & Home Improvement
In a word - Spectacularly The company owner, Phillip Osoria and his entire crew are all pros at what they do. They also really seem to enjoy working with each other as they talk, joke and laugh with each other all the while keeping the efficiency and quality of their work superb. During the preparation phase they moved and covered all necessary furniture, equipment and other items. At the end of each day they always cleaned up and removed their equipment. At the end of the job all items that had been moved/covered were returned to their original places. We have a 2,700 sq ft single story home in Covington and had the home built 24 years ago by a very well respected builder. The original painting looked good but we must say that the job Northshore just completed looks much better, something we werent expecting. The rooms painted were foyer, great room, hallway, dining room, kitchen/breakfast area and the master bedroom & bath. There was a fair amount of drywall repair needed mainly to cover holes where no longer needed items had been mounted to the wall. Three or four places were as large as a double or triple light switch plate and now you would never know that anything had been there - really amazing! And, as with any 24 year old home there were the normal ceiling and crown molding hairline cracks, but not anymore. Finally, we got quotes from 2 other highly rated (but not as high as Northshore) Angies List contractors and Northshores quote was $1,000 to $2,000 lower. Northshores quote was also within $25 of what the insurance adjusters written estimate showed. Go with Phillip and Northshore. You wont be disappointed

    A+ Contracting by Penton
He was professional, prompt, clear, and provided reasonable alternatives. We could only do one project and we selected another contractor based on the overall bid. Will request bids from Mr. Penton in the future.

Jake & Son Plaster & Drywall
I thought I had a huge disaster to take care of and they assured me that it would be okay and not to worry. And it was! Completely responsive. They walk in, take over-start to finish, clean up! I had an antique dish collection where the plaster had fallen; they put bisclean over it all and dusted everything. There wasn't a speck of plaster dust and left things in pristine condition. They were done in a couple of hours. They left a can of matching paint for touch-up. They were happy and pleasant the whole time. The whole experience was magical. I couldn't believe it! What I thought was going to take all day was done in no time! It looks so gorgeous!

It went great.   Phillip and his crew worked in a very professional manner and were always on time each morning, and put in a good days work.  The job started as a one week project, but after adding more work to the contract it ended up as being two weeks. Phillip checked on the crew every and brought paint and supplies and we discussed  additional work or any changes. I'll be using Phillip and his crew in the future when I need any house work done.

Very professional company. Work was performed prior to original date provided. It was a joy to work with Phillip and his crew. Very helpful when deciding colors. They were in regular contact with me between time I accepted quote and date given for work to be performed. This attribute in a comtractor is important to me. Northshore S and W exceeded all expectations as evident by grades given above

    Northshore Painting & Home Improvement
Phillip and crew were very polite and professional. Did excellent work on my recently purchased 110  year old home.
Job was difficult for many reasons; old home, wood floors, plenty of seams and cracks, stairway,  1810 sf of living area, many louvers doors, wooden windows and cabinets.
Along with 9.5 foot ceilings with a great deal of molding.
    Work included:
Prepped, sanded and caulked all walls, ceilings, wooden windows, doors and moldings.
Installed toe/shoe molding along base of wood floors through entire house.
Removed old electric heater from bedroom wall and repaired sheetrock.
Closed in wall that had unneeded entry way with sheetrock.
Filled and repairs holes in baseboards and walls where old cable and light switches were removed.
Put 2 coats of paint on all surfaces.
Put primer and 3 coats on areas that needed extra.
    Installed exterior dryer vent.
Removed old bath fixtures and installed new ones.
    Repaired lock on bathroom door.
Phillip emailed me an accurate and detailed quote.
Used drop clothes and did not have a drop of paint on my antique wooden floors.
After job was complete Phillip had a detail worker come by and spend a half day just checking the entire house for any detail that needed attention.
Did not quote me on bedroom closets but prepped and painted them anyway as "Lagniappe"!
House looks beautiful. Great job. Would highly recommend.

The workers arrived on time and promptly got to work.  They were very professional and polite, and cleaned up after themselves.  When they saw other areas that needed touching up, they took care of it.  The job was performed quickly, as they arrived at 9:00 and left around 1:00, and, more importantly, the job was well-done.  I cannot even see where the wall was repaired and repainted.  I was very pleased.

    Matney's Drywall
They were excellent, did a good job and did it on time. They did everything they said they would do and were courteous, knew what they were doing and did the job well. Their price was in the ballpark of other estimates that we had gotten and we felt that they would do the best job. They contacted me right back after I got in touch with them.
