    Carter Contracting
The first time I called Mr. Carter, I left a message and did not receive a response after 5 days. I called a second time and this time Mr. Carter answered. A visit to my home to inspect the jobs and provide a proposal was scheduled for 3 days later. Mr. Carter never showed for the appointment, did not call to say he would not be coming and has not called to reschedule.

    Legacy Builders LLC
This project involved the complete removal of everything in the outdated Master Bathroom, existing cabinets, floors, walls, plumbing, insulation, and also the concrete removal to re-locate the toilet and tub. A "California-style" closet was also added adjacent to the master bath. Louis and his team did everything possible to meet the scheduled completion date, from working 16 hour days to working on weekends. They were professional, courteous, and respected our house from the first demolition day through the final day of the shower installation. Louis helped with the initial design and worked with us extensively from the selection of materials through each stage of the process until completion. Every detail was a collaborated team decision, with several meetings with the various subcontractors. Louis wanted to make sure he supported our vision of the final end product. The quality of the worked performed was fantastic, you can tell he really cares and is very particular on how things are done. The end result was above and beyond what we envisioned. They also were able to add in a special request for crown molding in the master bedroom and cabinet replacement in our guest bath. We would also like to thank his team, Glenn and Jacob, true master craftsmen that came to work on time every day with a professional, positive attitude. Louis and his team are honest and hardworking, I would and have already recommended Legacy builders to anyone who has a remodeling need and wants high quality work at a very fair price.

    Legacy Builders LLC
Let me start off by saying that I am an engineer. I am extremely detail oriented and meticulous. In March 2019, I hired Legacy Builders to completely remodel our front porch and interior walls in our bedroom and our dining room. Being an engineer, I wrote a multi-page detailed scope of work to make sure nothing was missed in the bidding process and in the construction process. The work was extensive replacing headers and beams, plywood, and trim. They literally had to jack the porch up to remove the old beams. They also textured and painted everything they did. The total project took approximately four weeks and everything looks brand-new. They kept the job site clean and hauled off all of the debris when finished. Since I work out of my home, I was able to I monitor every step and was extremely impressed with the care they took. They did exactly what they said they would do for the price that they quoted. No hassles and no haggling. Louis Rogge, Jonathan, and Glenn were extremely professional and always on time. They are honest and do the best work imaginable. I would hire them over again and highly recommend them. I can't say enough good about them.

    Burks Construction LLC
I cannot say enough about the professionalism Nick/Burks Construction brought to the job. We are in an older home we treasure and whenever you start renovation projects, one never knows. We were redoing our entire pool house and adding a full bath. Nick had solutions for anything encountered. He showed up when he said, he stayed within the initial estimated budget, and just generally was a wonderful, sincere person to have in our home. In today's uncertain world, he is a rare gem. I recommend he and his company to everyone.

    Bayou Painting
Ricky at Bayou Painting was very professional and trustworthy. We actually left the country on vacation and left the keys with him to perform the work while we were gone. Painting edges came out nice. Had him install some cabinets and do some other misc carpentry work afterward which met our expectations.

They did an EXCELLENT JOB !!! My flat roof has been very easy to maintain. Corey and his crew were very courteous and they were always smiling ! I could tell they really took pride in their work. They took time to cover and protect all my floors and furniture and cleaned up well when the job was done. I do plan on using them again, for any other house projects that come up, in the future. I was VERY SATISFIED with their work !! :)

I love architecture, always have, always will. This combined with an unhealthy fixation on HGTV's flipping shows led me to purchase a true fixer-upper in a historic neighborhood. I truly didn't realize just how much fixing up my nearly hundred-year-old home needed. This realization dawned on me right about the same time I realized I wasn't a carpenter and neither was my fiance. The gutter backing up and flooding directly into my mail slot one day really helped drive this point home. We sought out and interviewed a few contractors with zero success before stumbling upon Legacy Builders on Angie's List. We liked the aesthetic portrayed on Mr. Louis's website and we obviously loved all the glowing reviews. I really appreciated the first contact, we both interviewed the other for fit. This really made me feel like I had someone genuinely interested in the project and that I wasn't just a paycheck. At the start of the quote process, Mr. Louis took excellent notes, many photographs, and accepted my written list of expectations. He arranged interviews with window subcontractors and offered his advice on what questions to ask and what I should be thinking about long term. There was never any judgment and I was never made to feel dumb or even worse, cheap. It was important to me that all the new work fit the old work and Mr. Louis really took that to heart. Numbers discussed, contracts were signed, and the work began. When everything was said and done, we had all of our windows replaced, the entire house scraped, siding replaced, soffits, replaced, house repainted with two accent colors, gutters replaced, porch screened in, shed torn down and replaced with a custom build that was painted to match the house, carport was essentially rebuilt, subfloors were shored up, the front room where the flood occurred had the wall torn out and rebuilt, wainscoting added, wallpaper added, and decorative accents added. We also had light fixtures changed in a couple of places. Thats a whole lotta work and a whole lotta time to be seeing someone and their crew. It says a lot about Mr. Louis and his crew that we all still like each other and the fianc and I are planning our next project for a few years down the line (bathroom renos). Throughout this entire process, Mr. Louis was exceptionally conscientious and communicative. I personally am not a micro manager and I really appreciate that the job was done well and executive decisions made when necessary without the project stopping to wait for my opinion. Touching base and checking in is one thing but I dont like to revisit the same conversation over and over. Mr. Louis was well deserving of my confidence and the house is amazing. Now the sordid topic of coin, despite little surprises coming up here and there, our final numbers were almost exactly what we were quoted! Like, within a couple of dollars. How often does that happen? And our house was transformed from a rotting, haunted mess into a truly beautiful and unique piece of architecture that stands out in our neighborhood. We are proud of our home and looking forward to the next phase of our life (wedding bells and kids). It makes us happy to know that we have someone like Mr. Louis and Legacy Builders to get us through all the changes that will come and the updates that will need to be made as our lives go on and our family grows.

    Drakeinspects.com
Drake is an exceptional contractor. I watched him for a while as he worked on my daughters home and knew another couple who employed him for remodeling. Drake and his partner show up and work all day , every day since they started this project. Step by step he talks to me about what his agenda is for that day and my satisfaction on the work completed. Its so refreshing not having a contractor show up initially to start a project and then skip out for days! Drakes work is superb and he is very considerate on the budget you have. I would recommend him a 100 percent. Chipley

    Restoration Carpentry
Our home had almost 2 feet of water inside during the 2016 flood. As an avid "do -it- yourselfer" that presented me with an opportunity to restore and upgrade our entire house. That became a multi-year project. At one point, during a slow down due to health issues, I began running out of time and "wifely patience". The folding table and bare sheet rock wall "entertainment center" was getting old. I had already designed the entertainment center that I wanted in our living room and knew I could never find what I wanted on the shelf and that it would be close to a year before I'd have the time to build and install it. It is very rare that I allow anyone to come in my house to work on it. Based purely on what I read from other's on Angie's List, I gave Bobby a call and went over to his shop with my plans that I had drawn. We sat and discussed what I wanted and he made suggestions here and there to improve on my design. It didn't take me long to know that if his work was as good as his ideas and his story, this was the guy I wanted to build my cabinets. Bobby gave me an extremely detailed estimate for what I wanted, which was the cabinets built but not painted or completely assembled. After I placed an order with him, he kept me updated on his progress. When everything was ready, he brought everything to me, very nicely packaged to protect the cabinets. They came with very detailed instructions for assembly. In addition, Bobby provided a very complete box of everything that I could possibly need for assembly and installation, down to every screw type and size, staples, trim etc. - lot's of thought went into this. The cabinet boxes are all paint grade plywood. The doors and face frames are solid birch. The hinges are all Blum soft- closing. After painting (they arrived already primed), the installation went extremely well. Everything fit as it was supposed to - no adjustments required. I can't say enough about the quality of Bobby's work. My wife and I are very pleased with the end product. Note: The lack of pulls on the cabinet doors was our choice. The cabinet lines were so nice, we didn't feel that they were needed.

    Legacy Builders LLC
After 21 months of dealing with incompetent handyman, we turned to Angie's list to find our savior, Legacy Builders. Louis and his crew delivered everything that was promised and more. His crew was considerate, neat, and took extra care to protect our furniture and floors during the repairs. They arrived ready to work at the designated time promised and were meticulous and thorough in the work they did. We are very satisfied and will definitely use them again in the future if repairs are needed.
