I was very impressed with the attention and detail they gave to this project. It was a small one so I didn't expect a contractor to give it much attention but they did. Hector and his crew sanded the old cypress which had been covered by asbestos and vinyl siding down to the raw wood and filled all the old nail holes. They caulked and reglazed the old windows and repainted the entire exterior of the house and garage. They were professional and courteous at all times. There was no loud music, smoking or drinking on the job. When finished, the 1930's cottage looked as I imagined it did when it was built!- Bobbie B.

AHector Professional Painting, LLCHector did an excellent job. The house needed very careful sanding since the cypress had been covered with both asbestos and vinyl. He sanded most of the paint off and filled all the nail holes on the house and garage. His crew was very professional in every respect. There was no music disturbing the neighbors and no drinking or smoking. The house looked like it must have when it was just built in 1937! Highly recommended.- Bobbie B.

AEveryone told me that home repair companies would likely be taking only big roofing jobs after Hurricane Zeta hit New Orleans and that I might have to wait a month or longer to replace a single missing shingle that blew off during the Category 2 hurricane. While it definitely doesn’t meet the definition of a “big job,” even a single missing shingle can result in potentially significant (not to mention expensive) water damage inside the home the next time it rains. So, we called our go-to home-repair company, One Man and A Toolbox, the Monday after the hurricane. It isn’t often that I leave friends slack-jawed but that’s just what happened when I informed them that One Man and a Toolbox was sending one of their experienced workers (Henry) out to repair our roof the very next day (Tuesday). Henry not only repaired the roof shingle in question but also fixed another errant shingle he spotted while up on our roof. Total cost: $80. We are so grateful to One Man and a Toolbox for their amazing customer service and professional quality work — especially after a hurricane. This company is a class act. If it sounds like I’m a happy (and loyal) customer, you would be absolutely correct.
