    This company is truly exceptional. From the start, they made themselves available to answer any questions I had, and went above and beyond to give lengthy explanations of what I asked about. This is a family-owned business which provides very individualized customer service. They are also very involved in community service regarding pest control, and their exceptional knowledge and concern for their customers shows. Every single person I dealt with was friendly and competent. When it came time for the treatment, the guy who was scheduled to do my house had a medical emergency, and instead of cancel on me, the owner of the company took it upon himself to complete the job so I wouldn't be inconvenienced. You could not ask for nicer people. I will call them for all my pest control needs.

    Ace Exterminating
    I had a roach problem that I tried to cure on my own for about 3 months. I finally gave up and called an exterminator. Not only were they extremely helpful and personable on the phone, but the person they sent out was the really great. She gave us a bunch of helpful tips to keep the critters away. She also recommended a bi-monthly visit, which we definitely needed to keep them away and catch possible eggs they may have left behind. So we are still using them every other month, and will probably continue to use them until we feel that the critters are completely gone. The first visit was the most expensive one, and the subsequent visits are less (I believe like $77/month). Well worth the money spent.

    As a first time home buyer, I wasn't sure what to expect. Steve and Dan were very friendly, honest, and professional. You can tell they work for YOU and not the $$$ or the realtor. They were very thorough and were sure to explain things to me in a language that I could understand, frequently giving me their own personal suggestions on how to fix certain issues and deal with certain situations appropriately. The inspection couldn't have gone smoother and I'm glad I picked Independent Home Inspection!

    Great. Professional and fast. Very nice people in the office and in the field. Had to cancel due to a family emergency and office staff was very helpful in rescheduling. No lingering smell and safe for pets and kids after drying.

    Advantage Wildlife Removal
    They charge you a bunch of money to come set a trap and that is about it. They are next to impossible to get in touch with, don't come out to re-bait. I am not even sure if they are still open as I have had the empty trap under my house for a couple years now. I hired a different company and they caught the opossums the first day after setting the trap.

    He was very personable and his prices were very reasonable. He works with you until the job was done.  I like him better than the big named folks. He is just very busy and I think his name is Barney. It is a small operation, but he is very personable. I think he was great. He did have to come back the next year.

    Scherzinger Pest Control
    It had turned cold so the ants were not out when the agent arrived to treat them before we had our Easter dinner guests this weekend.  He treated the top edge of our counter by the window, about a six foot wide space, with a liquid in a bottle with a tube top.  He said he'd be back this Saturday to treat outside and find the ant's nest.  We were home and out in the yard all day Saturday and he did not show.  This same agent has terated our house several other times, including the termite stations. On past treatments he has broken our plants near the foundation.  This prior treatment he broke a main branch of a barberry plant that we were trying to revive.  I didn't report this but wish I had at the time. 
    The day he treated for the ants, he was gone in less than 15 minutes.  In the past, with our last serviceman, he was thorough and the treatments (for wasps and tiny ants) were effective.  This newer service tech, is the speediest one ever.  Blink and he's gone
    Today we are overrun with ants again and are probably going to move dinner to my brother's house because of that.
    We've had Scherzinger since 1997 for termite prevention.  I would drop them in a heartbeat but we're worried that if there are termites in the future, we won't be covered by warranties on the Centricon system!

    Update!  Scherzinger called on Monday (today) morning after I had posted about bad service and came out with a manager and our prior technician.  He will now be handling our work.  They spent several hours here going over where the ants could be coming from and treating for them.  They also serviced the areas where we get wasps that the newer tech said they did not do any longer.  Apparently they do perform that service.  Why he had told us that is unknown but I have my own opinion that he was just not in the mood to treat that because it requires a long pole and sprayer.

    A nyway, they performed the correct service and were very concerned that the job be done correctly and that we are satisfied.  I consider this matter closed and we're happy that we have a goor technician working on our house now.

    Canine Bedbug Finder
    I was 38 weeks pregnant when we encountered John and Hershey, expecting our first child. The night before, we found one single bed bug on a sheet in our master bedroom. Although we found no other sign of bed bugs in our home, we panicked. We called John the next day, and he responded promptly (within 2 hours of leaving a message). He came by with Hershey later that afternoon. The dog had two and quot;alertsand quot; in our home - the corner of the bed frame in our master bedroom and the new rocking chair in the baby's nursery. John had recommendations as how to proceed, as well as other helpful information regarding bed bug infestations. Again, there were no obvious signs of bed bugs, but with a newborn on the way and the dog's alerts, we wanted to act immediately. We contacted 4 pest control companies - 3 of which declined treatment as they did not find any physical evidence of bed bugs (regardless of the dog's alerts). The fourth company agreed to treat because of the dog's alerts (and we had found the one bed bug). After steam treating both rooms, the company found 2 live bugs and evidence of eggs, only at the exact locations the dog alerted - the corner of the bed frame in the master bedroom and in the seam of the new rocking chair. We were able to and quot;spotand quot; treat these areas, and the problem was eradicated after only one steam treatment.
    Fortunately, we caught the problem so early that there was little to no evidence of bed bugs in our home. Had it not been for Hershey alerting these areas, we might have let the infestation grow (until there was physical evidence), only to bring our new baby home to bed bugs. We cannot thank John and Hershey enough - for responding quickly, for thoroughly inspecting our home, and for suggestions on treatment!

    The initial visit did not solve the problem but Barney came back for the follow up and as usual was thorough as before.  I have every confidence that I am in  good hands and he will resolve the issue.

    First Choice Pest Control
    We were having some problems with black ants in our kitchen. We had some honey in a cabinet that they found.  Once we removed it, the ants never left.  Chris Snow came out to exterminate and he left some gel bait around our counter and baseboards.  He also sprayed around the perimeter on the first floor of our home.  Chris did a great job.
