I took my bike there to get the 1k service done. The price was the same as all the other HD dealers. However, they got me in and done on the same day. When I dropped it off they said it would be about three hours and they got its done in the time promised.

Matt from Autobahn agreed to help me out in a pinch. I broke an exhaust stud off of a friend?s antique motorcycle. I brought the bike into Autobahn and Matt worked diligently to get the very difficult broken stud removed. It was expected to be a quick job but it turned out to be long difficult work because the bolt had fractured again inside the head. He was experienced with a variety of techniques to get the job done, and he stayed calm and focused throughout.  Thanks to his quality work and experience, he saved me hundreds of dollars because if the stud wasn?t removed properly I would have had to by a new cylinder. In the end he charged me for much less time and effort they had into the job, all with friendly expert service.

They have the expertise.  Their prices are not low, but when you get mechanical work done on a motorcycle, it's not cheap.  It's not cheap at a car dealer either.

Every rider knows that regular and meticulous maintenance is very important for a safe ride.  The time for my 8,000 mile maintenance was coming up and I knew I was going to be too busy to do the maintenance and install the new intake I had purchased.  I decided to have it done in one service call when I purchased my new tires.  I scheduled an appointment at the Harrison Ave location and dropped the bike off at the appointed time.  I was warned up front that it would take a few days to get the parts in and complete the install, which might keep the bike in the shop for about 5 business days.  When I called after a few days, I was frustrated to learn that the first set of replacement parts were of the wrong make and had be returned.  OK, it happens sometimes.  So I spend some time on the phone with the Service Department and we get things squared away.  The next set took over a week to arrive and a few more days to install.  Eventually, I get the word that the work was complete and the bike was available for pickup.  When I arrive, the bike hadn't been cleaned up yet and has greasy hand prints all over it.  I took possession of the bike anyways, figuring I could get it cleaned up myself while I inspected their work.  The quality of the actual repairs was very good.  Everything was installed correctly and the bike was definately running better than when I brought it in.  The cost for parts was high however, it's better to buy your own in advance if you can. I was a bit put off that they didn't offer to clean the bike if I brought it back in or make some other small gesture, especially considering that they had the bike for so long.  Overall, the bike was down for almost a month during prime riding season.  I realize that sometimes shipping errors happen, and I've dealt with this shop for small purchases without incident, but this particular experience left a bit to be desired.  It's a busy shop and it was a busy time of year, but there was definately the feeling that I was not their highest priority.

My motorcycle carburetor was clogged from sitting and would not run.  It had only been 1 year since the last time I had it cleaned out at another dealership, and 3 years since it had been cleaned at another dealership.  I dropped it off and told them that I thought it was just the carburetor but was not 100% sure.  They cleaned the carburetor but there were still some issues. Buddy the mechanic there called me and asked how I wanted to proceed.  I asked him to try to troubleshoot the problem.  At least part of the issue was that the motorcycle had the wrong size jet; he suspected a previous owner had lived out West. The labor for the job was quite reasonable in terms of hours.  I don't remember exactly how much time he charged.  The labor rate was also quite reasonable.  After Buddy worked on it, my motorcycle ran better than it ever had.  It has now been 3 years and I have not had any issues with a clogged carburetor since! I would definitely go back to these guys.

They did a fine job at a good price.  Will be using them again in the near future for more repairs on my 2005 yamaha four wheeler.

The front fork seals were repaired properly.  In performing this repair, they removed the exhaust pipe while working on the bike, possibly because it was getting in their way.  After riding the motorcycle just 200 miles, the nuts holding the exhaust pipe to the enging came loose while riding, and five parts fell to the street and were lost.  When speaking the the manager, Gary, to have the missing parts replaced under warranty, he refused.  He said the age of the motorcycle was too old, so he would not honor the warranty.  He said he would now institute a policy for their shop to "never service any motorcycle over ten years old".  I had to pay for the replacement parts and install them myself.

This is a friendly company, with very nice people and that's the only reason I didn't give them an "F". The reasons are lsted below: 1.)I scheduled an appt and was told 1-2 days. It took ~2 WEEKS ( this was a scheduled appt). and both weeks were great riding weather.2.) They did not call or keep me informed in any way - I stopped three times during the first week, expecting to pick up the bike as agreed upon each previous time I stopped by. The were the reasons they gave me for not having the bkle ready "a part was delayed a day", "we forgot to order a part", "the stands are being taken by other bikes and there's none available for yours". I finaly just began calling every 2 days or so  - and each time it was something else - again and again - usually the excuse was that other bikes were being worked on, etc.3.) The concept of keeping me informed did not seem to resonate with them nor the idea that my work was a scheduled appointment , so it ought to take priority over customers that came in after mine. 4.) Finally in desperation, because I was really needing the bike for a long trip I had planned month's earlier, I "begged" ( ok - that's a little exagerration, but not too far from being totally accuate) them to have it ready - since it was 2 days before the trip at that time, and they said they understood and  I was assured it would only take a day so there would be 'no issue'. However - 2 days later the bike was still not ready on time.3.) Once I finally received the bike - 2weeks after the original date I was given (exactly 1 hour later than I needed for the long trip I had schedule months prior). hey ended up charging me over $800 with no good explanation. I had to leave and did not bother to argue - at this point - I was just glad to get out. 4.) 15 minutes into the trip the light bar on one side did not work, and ddi not for the rest of the trip. Once i returned to the area, they fixed it in one day without charge, and ever nsince the bike has worked well - another reaon they did nto deserve an "F".
