Excellent work. Scheduling was tough as expected because of constant spring freezing and rain, but they eventually fit us in. Did all the work in less than a day, including taking out old concrete, building forms, and the pour. All work looks great, and the finishing work was really nice. Great crew!

Paul and his son were very nice and did a great job. Work was done in two days, very efficient. Nice finish on the concrete. They worked with me on a street creep issue and water drainage. It was nice to have the owner doing the job, rather than subs.

Their price was the lowest of several bids and I was a bid skeptical, but Bryan (the owner) seemed very honest and responsive from that first meeting.  He did not try to pressure me into any decisions, but rather discussed my specific situation and tried to find the best solution for my budget.  The entire time he seemed open and receptive to my opinions. Once I decided to hire him for the job his crew was at my house within a week and the entire job took them three days.   They did show up a bit later than a typical contractor (around 9 or 10 am each day, but Bryan explained that this was because he takes his kids to school every morning). The only problem that I had was that the jack-hammering broke one of my old single pane basement windows, but we I brought it up to his crew foreman he immediately acknowledged that it was their fault and that it would be fixed before the job ended (which it was).  Brian also backed his work up with a transferable lifetime warranty just like any other company out there doing the same work for higher prices.

We decided not to go with them because the room wasn't as urgent as we thought. The person that came out was very professional and very knowledgeable. He was really honest and he said we didn't need it. It wasn't like he was trying to prod me for work. It wasn't actually that we decided not to use him, it was just he was very honest and said we didn't need it. He could have taken advantage of the situation but he didn't and we were very happy.

Mr. Michels and his crew came on11/04/13 and dug out all the grass ,removed all the dirt hauled it all away. The next day he and crew returned  to build the forms, install the reinforser steel and poured the concrete pad. Mr. Michels and crew finished the pad with a nonslip surface and put on the sealer for the concrete, cleaned up the area the best they could and left. I would hire them to do more work without even thinking about anyone else. they did a great job.

After Creative stopped by to look over the job and give me an estimate, I agreed to get the project started. They stated they had a long driveway project under way, and that with rain every other day getting concrete work done was a matter of good weather. I had no problems with this and left it to their timing to get back to me; they estimated 3 weeks out. After putting up with the bumps and rocks for a couple of years the timing was not critical!.While I was waiting I had a lumberjack remove some trees in the yard, including a large one at the corner of the bridge, and had a man with a backhoe clean the accumulated rock and debris that blocked the pipes under my bridge, re-arrange the creek bed and put a lot of the recovered rock and gravel back on the uphill side of the bridge where it had come from..Creative called and let me know when they'd arrive; the tree and backhoe work finished the week before they started..Work was well done, on time, and looks great. There was one day of rain delay. Considering all the rain this Spring one day was a bargain! The area was left clean and tidy. They even stacked rocks along the outside of the bridge to tie it in with the creek..It's been just 2-1/2 weeks (1-1/2 since my first drive-over) and it looks great, removed the bumps and smoothed the crossing..The real test will be to see how it holds up to heavier loads-- starting with a water delivery truck, then a 3-axle dump truck of gravel for the driveway. Future tests might include a concrete ready-mix truck..

We discussed various options of pouring concrete versus doing it over layers or something like that.  The estimate was around $4700.  It was high.  I just had a feeling that he felt my job looked small to him.  He has done some pretty big jobs in the greater Cincinnati area and my job just looked extremely small to him although it was about 250 sq ft of work.  I understand that it’s not huge, but that’s what I needed him to do.  I think he deliberately charged me more per square foot than what he normally charged just because the job was small for him.  His attitude was not polite, but I would not say that he’s the funniest guy in the world.  If I had gotten another quote from somebody else and if they were at least close to the same price range and if they had done a better job and had a positive personality, I probably would have gone with them instead.  I tried to get a couple of quotes, but everybody is busy this year and nobody ever called me back.  I wouldn’t use them for another quote in the future.

I contacted Kevin for an estimate after reading his positive reviews on this site.

After the initial estimate/ meeting with Kevin I was very impressed by his honesty and professional opinion on the job that I wanted to be done. He told me what he thought about the design of the porch and walkway that I had come up with and help to point out some things I hadn't thought about.

I accepted his proposal and as soon as the weather was good he and his crew showed up to do the work. They all showed up at about 7:30-8:00 am ready to get to work! Dumptruck with bobcat and maybe 3 vans with all the men needed to get the job done right and fast.

The edging on the concrete looks great and I am very pleased with his work. I would recommend him to anyone in my area of town.

From beginning to end this was nothing but a professional job with a professional approach by Ben, Joe and his excellent team of workers. Unlike other landscapers who had quoted for this job, and who just shied away (and/or never even bothered to bid), we were assured that owner supervision would be in place at all times. And it was, without fail. We really can't recommend them enough. And I am difficult to please, believe me!
