Auto Transport - United Freight Of America
Guy answered my call and provided a quote and estimated pickup and delivery dates immediately.  I had a couple cheaper quotes by about $100, but decided to go with United because of good Angies List reviews.  The vehicle was picked up at the end of the three day pickup estimate and delivered on the first day of the delivery window estimate.  Based on the positive seamless experience, I would use them again.

    Auto Shipper's Express Inc
Mr. Price is the ultimate professional. He is very informative and is very knowledgeable of the industry. Initially, I hired his competitor to perform the job, but Auto Transport failed. Auto Shipper's Express came to the rescue with very limited time to meet my timeline. Mr. Price honors his word.

    Executive Auto Shippers LLC
Perfectly. The contact person was easy to work with and very professional. A price was quoted, a contract provided, and the auto transport guy went above and beyond what I expected him to do to both pickup and deliver the SUV so that we were not inconvenienced in the least. The SUV was picked up and delivered within the time frame quoted. The hauler (Clarence) was friendly, helpful, and punctual.

It took a little while to get a driver to agree to the price, but we had no deadline, so that was no big deal.  Then, plans changed and we had to get the car faster (within a week) for my daughter to take on a trip.  Nichole went to work making contacts and we raised the price enough to expedite the delivery.  This is common in my line of work, construction, so I understood the upcharge.  Nichole was able to get a driver to pickup the car within 2 days and deliver it ahead of our deadline. It was dropped on schedule 3 days later.  The driver contacted us a day ahead of the delivery and we kept in contact by text until we were able to meet and inspect the car.  All went well and my daughter loves her car.  Thanks Nichole!

    McElley Transport
We hired McElley based upon the Angies List reviews. While not the cheapest bid we received, it was also not the most expensive. We provided a 5 day window for pickup and a 6 day window for delivery in California. I found both Jim and his dispatcher ( Ginny??) to be professional and courteous.  At first we were told the car would be picked up on a Monday. When no one had called or shown up by late afternoon, I called the dispatcher to follow up on the status of the driver. Turns out the driver was still 5 hours away due to problems with another pickup. I was then told the driver would come by Tuesday. Late morning on Tuesday, I received a call from someone that I believe was the driver's wife stating that he could not come on Tuesday as his Cleveland/Columbus ?? pickup was not ready and he would come on Wednesday. Since I had to catch my plane flight on Wednesday afternoon, I was not pleased that this driver was going to push back my previously stated ABSOLUTE DEADLINE for pickup of noon Wednesday. I called Ginny and Jim to express my concern and disappointment that the driver was putting me in the position of potentially missing the deadline because of another customer's failure to be ready ontime. The fact that a previous pickup was not ready ( by MORE THAN 24 hours) should not force me to miss a pickup. Jim was very professional and offered to drive down from Indianapolis ( about 2-3 hours) to meet me and accept the keys to the car. He offered to then wait in Louisville with my car until the transport driver arrived so that I could still make my flight. In the end, this was not necessary as the driver arrived by 11am Wednesday. I wanted to express my appreciation for Jim's offer to ensure the pickup and delivery still occured so that my car would be in California for my use while there. I would use them again because of Jim's sincere concern for customer satisfaction. The "B" rating for punctuality really applies to the driver ( would have given the driver a C but this rating is for Jim, thus the B)

    Rick's Towing
My car had broken down and needed to go to an auto shop across town to be serviced. I had never used a towing service before and wasn't sure who to call or what to do. After finding a list of places online, I began calling them for estimates since I was also on a budget. Rick's Towing was the first I had called and I'm glad I did. I spoke directly with the owner of the company, Rick, and he was very friendly and courteous. He gave me a more than reasonable estimate and was very understanding of my busy schedule. His response time was very fast and he took care of everything, letting me know what he needed in order to complete the trip and give the information/key to the autoshop service personnel. I paid him the estimated fee and when he went to give me my change I told him to keep it as a tip because he was so nice and prompt. Given this was my first experience using a service like this, I felt at ease that my car would be taken care of. I would recommend Rick's Towing to anyone in the city wanting great service from a very nice man.

    Carrico Motors Auto Transport
Found Carrico Auto Transport through for Automobile transport, and they had several people in the area; when I saw Carrico Auto Transport and read the reviews of how they took excellent care of their recent and past customers with out a complaint I knew they where for me. I contact Mr. Carlton Carrico and explain what I was looking for and that my husband was military and had been transfer to Maryland two year previous and that we already had a car in Maryland, but, my husband wanted his truck instead of the car now and we need to get it up there and get the other one back to New Albany, Indiana He had me what they would be hauling and the address of pick up and delivery and if I needed it up there any certain time. Mr. Carrico came over and walked around the vehicle and made sure to point out any scratches and other non perfect things on the truck. He went over the truck with a fine tooth comb and then we talked about prices, He told me how long he had been in business and the different companies that he has hauled for: UNITED STATED ARMY,  FORD MOTOR COMPANY, and several Antique car business, that antique car had to been in Florida for a Wedding last year and the customer was so satisfied that he paid for dinner and put him and is son up in the Hotel where the Wedding Reception was being held. After this I knew that my truck and car was in good hands.

Everything about the experience was wrong, not anything was right. It was a fiasco, the whole situation. They charged it to my insurance company, so I didn't get to see the charge. I will never use them again. I took my car into an auto repair company, that did a wonderful job. Hertz had been notified to pick me up at 9 o'clock and I was a pallbearer in a funeral at 12 o'clock so I was running a little bit of a tight schedule that day. They didn't get there until 9:45, 45 minutes late. I found out when they got there the one on Hurstbourne didn't have any cars, so they had to call another office that was like three times as far away. Then, after they called it took them all that time to get there because they had so far to come and they were 45 minutes late getting there. The girl that picks me up, she was nice enough to drive me back to Bardstown Road which took me even more time. When I got there, there was no one at the front desk and I had to go looking for somebody. Finally, I got somebody at the desk, and they said well, we don't have any cars all we've got is this tiny little compact with body damage, you can come back another day and trade it for a different car. The only thing good about it was it got good gas mileage. It did have the fender bent out and the wheel well. The other thing that was wrong with it was the air conditioner was so bad that you couldn't stand to use it. It smelled like rotten tushies out of a gym locker is what the air conditioner smelled like. We really didn't have enough time to trade it in. So, we kept this tiny little compact. Finally, we took it back on the fifth of July to the auto body shop and drop it off and they immediately called Hertz to pick it up. Then they received notice that they were going to be paying for the 5th of July, where was the car. I called and told them and I called the auto shop and they said they called, but they never came to pick it up. Then they came to get the car from the shop. Their employees were basically irresponsible, didn't care and was just there. It was bad as it could possibly be.
