So far, they just move and keep scamming people. There are charges against at least one of the owners, Richard "Ricky" Roberts...every time he is FINALLY arrested, his wife posts his CASH bond (stolen cash) and he's off again....

I called Mr. Valentine and gave him all the information I had about the man. He immediately went to work with the staff. he found out that there wasn't anyone in the US with that name and that age the man gave me and not only that the man was from or the phone number was from California not here. Mr. Valentine said to try to get more information from him and he would be able to find out who he was. So far I haven't heard anymore from him . He didn't charge me for the days work which I thought was very generous.
There are so many con artists out there it is dangerous. Thank you Matthew. Im off dating sites.

I would like to start by saying that I am with Verizon because of the quality of their phones and extensive coverage area.   They cost a little more than the competitors, but they are worth it because  I often have coverage in areas that my friends do not.    I also experienced excellent customer service at several other locations in the past.   However, the customer service at this particular location is severely lacking.
My phone is broken.  It likes to turn itself off when it is fully charged, and sometimes I cannot turn it back on.   I knew that I was not eligible for a full upgrade until September, but my sister encouraged me to ask someone now because I may be eligible for a discounted upgrade.  I was really hesitant to go into store because in the past I had found the staff to be incredibly pushy.  However, it was on my way home from work; so I stopped in.
There were two sales representatives in the store.  One was finishing up a customer and the other one greeted me.  I told him that my phone was acting up, and I was thinking about an upgrade but did not think I was eligible until September.  He did not even bother to ask me what was wrong with my current phone or pull up my account to see if I was correct or would be eligible for a discounted price now (which I am according to their website).  I then told him that I never had a smart phone but was thinking about getting one.
He asked what type I was thinking about, and I told him that I wanted an iPhone.   He immediately started showing me their Androids.   I told him repeatedly that I was not interested in the Androids.   He finally got huffy and tossed a couple of iPhones towards me.   He told me that it was not worth my time to look at phones now because they would change by September and that there was no point in quoting me on prices because the plans would change next week.   He had zero knowledge of the new services that he would be selling.
He made it painfully clear that I was wasting his time.   He kept rolling his eyes and mouthing things to his co-worker when I was trying to look at the iPhone.  If I was not going to buy a phone that day (which I may have done out of necessity), then he was not going to help me.  Oh, and if I did not buy the phone he wanted me to, then I could count on very little assistance.
I ended up leaving without a fully functioning phone and with no new information.   It was a complete waste of my time.   In the future, I will continue to use Verizon Wireless, but I will never step foot in that location again.

Since AT&T has taken over service for Cingular customers their customer service, fees and phone service has been poor. After reviewing my bill with attention I realized I was being charged fees for roadside assistance, dial 8 voice command, and international roaming. All services that apparently were free when my contract was renewed on an upgrade, but after 30 days begin nickle and dime-ing thereafter. When I removed these services via online, they were only removed from ONE line. Interesting huh? This I quickly resolved via customer service. THEN, I saw via online I was due for a FREE UPGRADE RENEWAL on my wife's line. However my bill reflects a $18 renewal fee!! When I contacted customer service, I spoke with a Chris (who not so politely) informed me, "that due to my corporate discount of 8% thru my employeer the fee cannot be removed". HUH? So free is NOT FREE and I'm not happy. On a side note... I was reading in Consumer Reports magazine, Jan. 2009 p.29 "The Shell Game", "that cellular companies recoup their up-front phone subsides through charges built into monthly service fee over the one- or two-year term of the contract." So I'm paying for that FREE phone and fees ontop of that. Supposedly the Federal Trade Commission has been studying whether such claims of FREE comply with the the agency's guidelines of the termanology. Again...HUH? So FREE is a LOAN I payback in my monthly bill for the Free Phone that renews my contract automatically and I pay a fee of $18 for the ability to do so. I hope that Angie's list has the ability to resolve this issue. I've contacted customer service via email, with this complaint after speaking with Chris via At&t 's customer phone line and getting no where. Deceptive billing practice must not be industry standard.
