Pressure Washing reviews in Union

STAY AWAY! We hired him in April/May 2017 and gave him a deposit. It's almost November and the still has not been completed. So every couple of weeks he would tell us that it would be another 2 weeks. Finally in August he sends a person out to pressure wash the deck. I has to keep trying to get him to stain the deck now that the deck was clean. Another month and 1/2 goes by and a crew shows up to paint. Did not pressure wash again, they just started spraying the deck. Color was ok but there was so much overspray and spots missed, you would not believe it! So all the work has yet to be completed and it doesn;t appear it will ever be completed. I've tried getting hold of Mike 3 times in the last 2 days but nothing. So I can't wait to complete the review until the work is done since I have so little faith it will ever be complete. Worst contractor I've ever dealt with. At one point after the pressure washing he stated he lost my phone number. Our house was not lost though! It was still there in need of paint. He did not assist with the deck but promised he would be back out to fix all the overspray spots and spots they missed painting. We have had our deck furniture in our yard waiting for him for 3 weeks. I have been told twice he would be out but something always comes up. It's like he has no idea how to run a business and he told me at one point he was too busy. I bet he is. He must have to go back and touch-up every job if he does the quality of work he did at our house. I now have a notch against me with my wife because we should have just given up our 10% deposit and gone with someone else. My wife will now second guess me because of this "company". I never had a clue when workers would be at our house. All of a sudden they would be there. I just have nothing good to report about this company and Mike Pracht. He was supposed to fix wood trim around our front door but I can no longer get him to respond to my texts. We currently have furniture in our driveway, horrible overspray that needs fixed AND places where no paint was applied on the deck. HORRIBLE SERVICE FOLKS! Do not consider hiring this "Company". My rating is an absolute F- . Didn't do what he said he would, completely unreliable, took months just to start, accepted money without performing service, unresponsive, shody workers. NOTHING Good to say about this guy!

I called 2 places from Angie's List and an internet search. Both got back to me within and hour. The first gave me an estimate looking at my house on Google Earth. She had no sense to the condition or issues and gave me a very, very high quote. I told here I would look elsewhere. In contrast, Ben, the owner, and his assistant arrived in their truck at the agreed time sending me a page on their exact arrival time. Their truck was clean and very well equipped. He inspected the stains on the area in question and gave me a very reasonable quote, He and his team went to work immediately. They treated the whole area and used scrubber equipment to thoroughly clean the surface. They then sprayed and rinsed the surface with their power washer. A couple of hours later the end result was outstanding. The entire surface was stain free and looking like the day I purchased the home 11 years ago. Ben and his team were courteous, punctual and displayed a desire to really do the job right. I was assured that if there was any problem to give them a call immediately. I would not hesitate to recommend Ben and Power Pro Washing and I am sure I will have future needs for their services.

I originally called Mike at Pillar based on a few other homes in our neighborhood they had painted. The colors looked saturated and stood out from other homes. After using Pillar twice in two months, our own residence and a rental property I would HIGHLY recommend this company. Mike is prompt at returning calls and questions. The crew was on time, professional and pleasant. They arrived when promised and the jobs were finished when promised. Most importantly, the painting was done right. So happy with these guys!

Pillar Painting did a wonderful job from start to finish.  I had several painting contractors bid on the job, Pillar's pricing was in line with the other contractors.  However, Pillar specified a higher grade paint product than most.  Since we didn't know the original paint color, Pillar color matched the paint and suggested we go one shade darker - which we did and our house looks great.
The painters themselves were friendly, self driven, reliable and knowledgeable about painting on different surfaces/materials. They were extremely neat and meticulous, and improved the appearance of the original caulking on the house.  I have a lot of annuals and they were extremely gentle to my landscape.  They cleaned the site up daily.  The job was completed in a timely manner, much quicker than I thought possible.
The house looks wonderful and we are picky.
I would highly recommend them.  I am happy to have found some great painters.
We hope to have them paint the interior of our home!

The sales associate, Landon, came to the house and was extremely polite and professional.  We went over want I wanted to have completed and he had me a quote within a few minutes.  The quote was the lowest that I had received and after reading on the reviews on Angie?s List about them, I decided to go ahead with the project.
I was then contacted by Hannah about scheduling a color consultation and did so.  Really nothing special, the designer was nice and agreed that the colors my wife and I picked would work well.
I was then told by Hannah that the painters would be out on Thursday to pressure wash.  They showed up without any notice and began to work.  They told me they would begin the next morning, no specific time.  They arrived around 1030 or so, laid drop cloth on the porch and taped it off and began to spray the house.  About an hour into it, the spray gun broke.  They spent about an hour messing with it got it working but it broke again so they started using brushes and little rollers.  By little rollers I mean the ones that are about the diameter of a quarter and 4-6 inches wide.  They finished up late on Friday and I heard
nothing from them and they packed up and left.
They arrived around 0930 Saturday morning and started painting.  We noticed they started painting the corner trim the same as the body color so we let them know that the corner trim and all trim should be our 2nd color, not the same as the house.  They were here for about 10 hours and it seemed like they accomplished a lot.
They contacted me on Sunday to let me know they would not be out until Wednesday due to the weather which was understandable.  They showed up Wednesday morning and began to work.  Around 1540, they asked me to walk around the house and look at it and also asked me to open the man door to the garage so they could paint it.  I did a quick walk around and told them that there were a lot of places that had problems but that I had to leave for about an hour and would be back.  Since my door was open, I was unable to set my alarm to my house.  I returned an hour later to find that the painters were gone, my door was wide open and judging by the leftover paint that was left, I assumed they had completed their job.
There were many issues that I had: Visible brush marks on metal flashing/venting; venting on the side of the house was white, they painted it green but it had green, white and brown color on it; the paint was extremely light in many areas since they only applied one coat and then went back to touch up areas instead of actually doing 2 full coats; brush marks from the trim on the body (different color); drips on my carport roof flashing (a lot of drips); runs on my porch railings; exterior plug covers and exterior faucets painted on and over.  From a distance, the house looks good and it?s the upgrade our house needed.  However, up close it is a sloppy job in many places and it seemed like once the sprayer broke, they were rushing a lot.  When I hire a professional painter, I expect it to look cleaner than what I can do myself. Where paint is cut in or trim is a different color than the body, there should be nice clean lines.  I also expect a job to be completed where I should not have to complain at all and it
should be done correctly the first time.
I contacted Landon to express my displeasure with the quality and lack of communication and he assured me that he would take care of it and he would contact me in the morning to come out and look at my concerns.  Instead, Mario (the paint team
leader who I had not met yet) contacted me the next morning and said he was going to be out in about an hour to walk around the house with me.  About an hour and a half after receiving that call, Frank, the production manager contacted me and stated that he would come out as well.
Mario showed up in the morning and walked around with me to see all of my complaints.  I pointed out some of the major things and he corrected some of them and told him I would discuss the rest with Frank when he came out. Frank came out later in the day and walked around the house with me and noticed the same issues that I did and was not satisfied with the work that was completed.  He told me that he will be in contact with the scheduler and crew and have them back out to correct the problems.
On Monday, I was notified by Hannah that the painters would be out on Tuesday around 1030 or so and Frank would be out to go over everything with them shortly after.  The painters who originally painted and Mario arrived around 0930.  Mario asked me to show him some of the issues and they began working.  Frank arrived around noon and pointed out some issues to Mario that needed to be corrected.  The crew worked non-stop until around 1400 and I did a final walk-around.  The coat looked much better and from what I could see, all of the major issues were corrected.  Some of the minor issues still exist but I just wanted it to be done so I signed off and paid them.
The painters should pay more attention to detail when painting.  They should be better prepared and not rush the work.  There should also be better communication between the paint crew and the customer and possibly a little more communication between the office and the customer just to check in and see how things are going while the project is being worked.  As I stated previously, this should not have been this much of an issue.  I should have been able to have them do the job, pay them and then be done.  Instead, it was a hassle that caused unnecessary stress on me.  I should not have needed to have them correct issues and redo work that should have been done properly in the first place.  But, since they cut corners and sacrificed quality for time, it turned into a bad experience.
On a positive note, everyone that I spoke to was extremely polite and professional.  They kept saying that they wanted to do whatever to fix the issues and make me happy.  They fixed the major issues and I am now at least satisfied with the work.
Unfortunately, because of all the issues, I am not ?happy? with the experience or the work but I am at least satisfied enough with the outcome.  I will recommend CertaPro to others I know but will share the negatives of my experience.  I would also consider hiring them again for some possible interior work in the future as long as the same crew didn?t show up.

I was very pleased with the job. I had green moss or mold on the siding on the north side of my home. They pressure washing completely cleaned it off. The siding on the entire house looked very good after the cleaning. We have lived in our house for 15 years and I didn't realize how dirty the siding had become.
There was one minor problem. While doing the pressure washing, the pressure washer operator tripped over a sandbox on our deck and the spray nozzle hit some wood trim around our patio door causing a small amount of paint to come off. The man doing the work brought this to my attention and offered to repaint the area immediately, if I had some touch-up paint, or to return later and do it. Since the wood trim in that area had already needed some touch-up, I told him not to worry about it because I was going to repaint that area anyway.

I have a 17 year old home located in the woods. It was green from years without a proper cleaning. The white gutters were streaked black.
Jason with ProServe showed up when expected, performed the work for the price quoted. I still cannot believe they got these 17 year old gutters to look like new. Absolutely amazing. I will certainly have them back in the future. A really professional team.

I needed help painting the living room and entry of my home - the ceilings are two stories and I couldn't paint that high.  The two painters were very respectful of my home, they put down plastic and used drop cloths.  They even fixed a peeling corner - looks brand new!
My old shutters were "bleeding" paint down the siding - it looked like the house was crying...ugh!  The handyman used a pressure washer to clean "the tears" off the siding and cleaned the rest of the house so it looked new again.  He then hung new shutters (factory color - no paint needed) and the exterior of the house now has curb appeal again!
I marked the punctuality a 'B' as there was a lapse in communication and I was mistakenly informed on when they would be arriving for the exterior job.  But after clearing up the misunderstanding, everything went well.

I thought it would be hard to find companies or individuals that took pride in their work.  Mella Windowing Cleaning's staff proved me wrong.  Terry was on top of all my questions and responded so quickly to each of my concerns. The work they did was more than I expected. I would recommend them for all your cleaning needs.  Thanks, BJ and Terry!.

Mr. Gayle showed up exactly when he said he would, calling beforehand to let us know. He cleaned the deck on one morning, and returned the next day to lay the board. The day after, he returned to paint the board and do some additional deck staining. His work was excellent, and the price was right on target. We were delighted.
