To begin, I went to him two straight days.  He told me everything he was going to do before he did it, and told me how it would feel.  I last visited a chiropractor about 25 years ago, and this was refreshingly different.  He didn't do any "neck-cracking" but concentrated on where I was hurting.  He gradually loosened up the affected areas through a series of manipulations. To finish, he manipulated the lower part of my spine.  He never hurt me.  While he worked on me, he continually asked how I felt.

When I arrived for that first visit, I had trouble getting out of my car because of the stiffness and pain.  When I left, I could feel a big improvement and I was able to easily get into my car.  Each visit, he gradually increased the repetitions of certain manipulations and added others.  I went for two visits the next week, and one visit each of the next two weeks.  So six visits total, and I'm doing great!  The only real discomfort I had was later in the day of each visit, which he had warned me about.

Dr. Simms knows exactly what to do and how to explain it.  He is very personable, and he definitely fixed me!  I will certainly go back to him when and if the need arises again.

I had my family doctor give me a prescription for medical massage based on my back injury so I am able to use money from my HSA to pay for the massage. Some weeks I can hardly walk into the spa & get undressed because my back is hurting so badly. But I am always able to get off the table & dress myself again without pain after the massage. Karen is always able to find the spot that she needs to work on to release the muscle spasm whether it is in my back or neck or both. She is a good listener while you explain your problem & she is very skilled at her job. The office & her massage therapy room are very comfortable & tastefully decorated. Quiet music helps the relaxation. I have had massage therapy in the past from other providers & I have never had the successful pain relief that I get from Karen at Oasis Med Spa.

Initial office visit went well so I scheduled knee replacement based on reputation.

Wish I felt the same about knee replacement surgery. Hospital stay lasted 24 hours after a total knee due to horrible post-op nursing care. I fell due to lack of attention by staff and lack of staff knowledge at UC Hospital.
I was not treated well by Dr. Colosimo and staff in post care appointments. I felt they resented me for leaving hospital early and were very cold and rough with me when examined. They did not accept that I was especially uncomfortable and thought I should not have the pain medicine I needed, but I was in horrific pain for months. I felt so judged negatively by them that I did not continue post care after three months. I feel that they never cared about me or how I was managing after the last appointment or they would have contacted me at home. Dr. Colosimo thinks too highly of himself and projects an attitude of supremacy rather then compassion.
One post appointment involved him asking me if I was going to watch a football game, when I said no, he walked out of the room. My appointment was over, no mention of how I felt after my knee replacement. That was the last time I scheduled an appointment with him.

I could never recommend him to a female, senior citizen who needed a knee replacement. Truly too rough, no compassion, no caring,
He can be very callus, arrogant, and write a patient off by blaming them for being difficult to work with. After all, he couldn't be a person difficult to work with, it would have to be the patient.

I suffered horrifically due to inadequate post op care.

Tim loves Dr. Risin and as soon as he hears someone complaining about back pain and being unable to get relief, he tells them all about Dr. Risin and all the people at Interventional Pain Management.  They did some injection therapies first and then did radio frequency ablations on nerve endings.  He just finished those 6/26/2013.  According to the doctor, these treatments should probably last anywhere from 6 months to a year-and-a half or so.  It differs from patient to patient, but my son is so happy that he can finally get on with his life.  He is working with the Ky. Dept of Vocational Rehabilitation to prepare to reenter the work world, including some additional education.  Tim has suffered a long time, and as a mother, I am thrilled to see him optimistic again!

I was a little early so I used the machine to make a cup of relaxing tea. After the other patron had left and Karen had changed all the linens I went into my usual room and got ready for the massage. I strip naked because my lower back and hips need a good deep tissue massage too. You don't have to get naked. I kept my underwear on for the first month that I saw Karen for massage. But she is so professional that I don't think a thing of it now. I love slipping into those cool sheets. (in summer-for winter she has flannel sheets and a heated bed.) She always asks if there is a particular place that I am having more trouble with than others. The lights are dim, quiet music is playing and she's makes my pain go away. I have fallen asleep more than a few times because I am pain free. She uses a heat pack sometimes on my back and neck to help relax them even more while she is working on other areas. Every time, every time I get a massage from Karen I don't want to get up from the table and get dressed.I always feel so much better than when I walked in.She has a private office where you can sit and pay her and make another appointment. The charges for different massages are posted. There is plenty of parking just outside her door. And if you need something different or if you have a problem, karen is very open and wants to hear it. Her goal is to make you feel better. If something is wrong, tell her and she will do her best to fix it. If she puts too much pressure on a sore spot, tell her and she will work easier with the muscle until it's better. And I can't think of a negative thing to say.

The Goddard School in Ft. Mitchell is great. We have both of our children there(ages 3 and 8 months). The staff is professional and courteous. They are warm and caring and really take an interest in our children and our family. Both of our children have really learned a lot there. The facility is clean and well-maintained.
