    I have used cars.  I don't have new cars.  I hesitate to use the dealers.  I have a Chrysler.  I've had Chryslers for years and years, and I find the dealers tend to overcharge, sometimes egregiously overcharge, so my personal conviction, I don't want to go to a dealer if I can avoid it.  He ended up overcharging me for about an hour's work, about a hundred dollars.  I'm still ashamed that I didn't take it to the manager and say that this is excessive, I won't pay it.  I had already paid it and I looked at it, and I couldn't believe it.  I really should have demanded a credit for an hour's labor, but it's my fault.  The quality was OK.  If somebody's overcharging, somebody should have caught it.

    Without any ifs, ands or buts, I recommend people go to WalMart Superstore Middleton.  They are thorough, and the cheapest oil and filter change in the area.  Since I'm a regular there, I waited until I needed an oil change to get my tire that I needed.  The oil change was a little tiny bit under $20.  I would recommend it to you; you're saving money. The problem, though, when you go there it takes a while.  If you're planning to shop at WalMart it's a good thing to do that while they're doing their work because there is some people waiting and you have to wait.  Now if you're in a hurry, go to another place, but they charge quite a bit more.  The oil change cost only $19.88.  The tire costs $61.  They've got a disposal fee on the old tire and they've got to balance yours and everything else, mounting and balancing.  A lifetime balance, if you have a problem bring it back and they'll rebalance for nothing.  They charge you to rotate.  If you lose a weight or something goes wrong, they're not going to do that routinely.  You have to have a reason for it.  The cost of the tire, with all fees involved, was $74.  I can recommend the Douglas tire to you, because it's only sold by WalMart.  I'm an engineer; I used to race sportscars and tires have always been a really big deal to me.  If I compare the nearest other brand tire, they also sell another tire there, but I much prefer the Douglas tire's tread pattern, and the way it handles, and the way it drives.  I don't think I've found them anywhere else, but I have no reason to go elsewhere.  I've had some very good WalMart stores do oil changes and tires and stuff for me in the past, so I've been quite content.  I found them to be very professional.  I'm thoroughly satisfied with all the work they've done for me there, which is basically oil changes and tires.  That's all I ever have them do.

    For the last 15 years or more I've been going to Goodyear for most auto service because they are prompt.  They go to work on your car immediately or give you a good appointment time.  They are very honest.  They charge reasonable prices, and they're very trustworthy.  There are two that I use.  I normally use the Goodyear Tire Service Center in Shelbyville, but my wife was driving in Louisville and the fuel pump failed, and you can't drive it that way.  Shelbyville had a fire and they were out of service then, so then I had the truck towed to the Louisville Goodyear auto service center and they did an excellent job too.  These people, I'm very, very much impressed with their work at both Louisville and Shelbyville locations.  I had used Goodyear auto service centers in Texas for like 12 years and then for about 5 years here, and I am very pleased with the Goodyear organization.  Certainly I would use them all the time.

    Real happy with them. Electronics was the part I was the most pleased about. They were just really good and seemed to have their act together, didn't try to gauge you or something. Sometimes with electronics somebody can easily run the bill up on you. Absolutely would use them, would refer them. I'm just really appreciative of their work.

    On Friday October 16th we purchased a nice 2012 Ford Flex from Oxmoor Ford on Shelbyville Rd. here in
    Louisville.
         Our salesman was a young man named George. George was very  personable and professional in his demeanor and my husband was impressed with him.
         The flex had 64,000 miles on it and appeared to be well kept and properly maintained by the previous owner.  The car was presented by Oxmoor Ford as a pristine vehicle with a clean Car-fax. After test-driving the Flex we purchased the vehicle. We drove the car for a mini get-away over the weekend. Overall we were pleased with the car?s performance although in my husband's estimation it could have ridden a little more smoothly. My husband discovered that the tires were over inflated and remedied that issue.
         As we were driving to our destination I was looking through the owner?s manual and other information. I discovered an
    insurance card from the former owners. They live about a mile or so from us! What a funny coincidence!
         When we returned on Sunday my husband decided to wash the Flex. In doing so he noticed the bumper cover in front was not right. Upon closer inspection he could tell it had been wrecked before, he could actually still smell paint up close. My husband looked underneath and found the whole right hand inside bumper was duct taped all over. The duct tape served as a backer for bondo/filler material!! My husband was beyond furious and called salesman George immediately. George seemed shocked and surprised but said there were no managers there at the time. He indicated that it was doubtful we could return the car. My husband decided to visit the former owner and immediately drove there. The former owner was very nice. He told my husband that yes, he had hit a deer with the Flex. He traded it in to Oxmoor Ford damaged rather than make repairs to it because it would cost almost the same as his high deductible would be to fix it. 
         The repair Oxmoor Ford elected to perform was to duct tape the inner bumper and add bondo and touch up paint, and put it up for sale.
         We were most alarmed to learn this truth and we were left wondering what additional issues had possibly been concealed. We had zero trust at this point and wanted to return the car.
         The next day my husband drove to Oxmoor Ford and spoke with a manager named Chad. He was very nice and said they ?would make it right?. He offered to send it to the body/service shop to make repairs. We already had seen their chosen method of repair and with our broken trust we just wanted to return the vehicle. Chad agreed. I had to drive to Oxmoor Ford since my husband would have no vehicle upon making the return. We spent a good bit of time (during our work day) trying to figure out the money side. Our bank was able to put a stop pay on the check. The check had been deposited already but it had not yet been processed.
         We were sent figures on a new truck that my husband had shown interest in. We were told the offer would be better than the ?A Plan?. It was not. 
         In the end it was an awful experience and a waste of time and energy. We really felt doing business in this manner felt rather  fraudulent or at the very least hugely misleading to consumers. We felt duped.
          Both George and Chad were pleasant to work with. We must assume that these kinds of deceptive practices are dictated by
    and approved of by upper management and leaders.  We understand the desire to make a profit, but we feel it should never be achieved by employing or encouraging dishonest or sneaky work ethics.
    Never again. Buyers beware!

    Overheated badly driving to work. This was 1 of the zero degree mornings. Had towed to Atwood Auto on AAA recommended local shops.
    They diagnosed with cracked radiator. Called me with needed repairs about 9:30. Was ready by 2:00. Very pleased with communication & honesty.
    Heat wasn't very good before this and about the same after. Took back following week to see about improving heat. Flushed out heater core, in both directions, reporting a lot of muck came out. Not surprising, truck is 20 yrs old.
    Will do business again.

    I took my car in there and they checked it out. He went for a ride, and he didn't try charging me for anything. He said that he couldn't find anything and asked me to wait till it got a little worse and bring it back. He worked with us. He didn't say bring it in and that they will do this to it. He really waited until he could find something wrong with it. When it was wrong, he gave us a really good price. We were expecting about $3000, so $1400 was really good. They got it back to us quickly and seemed to do a very professional job. I am very pleased with it. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

    I'm always pleased when I take my 2004 SUV there. I have taken it to other places closer to home and I'm never satisfied with the service or professionalism that I receive at Oxmoor. My husband is disabled and I needed to open the back door to get his walker out. The latch wouldn't allow it to open. I called the service manager and he told me to come over and he'd get me right in. He did and he remembers me from future visits and always takes care of me. I no longer am going to go to someone closer to home for minor repairs. Oxmoor Toyota staff make this my ideal for repairs on my Toyota.

    We have been with them for years and years and years and wouldn't dream about going anywhere else. They know their stuff. They are fair. They are extremely trustworthy. They have never tried to bait and switch me. They have always been able to back up their workmanship and they have a lot of expertise. They did not charge me for the rotors because they had replaced them back in October and it turns out that they were faulty parts, so they only charged me for the labor. They call me if anything changes. They keep me posted.

    They usually are pretty good. They have been honest which is sometimes hard to find in car repair people. They will offer take you home. For a small shop, I think that is pretty good. They are also pretty good about getting back to you.
