ABoss Design CenterWe used Boss design to remodel our kitchen, floors, and family room fireplace. They did a phenomenal job, as is evidenced by the comments we get from everyone who has seen our house. They were even extremely prompt with a minor warranty issue for some interior cabinet lighting (issue was with a transformer) which occurred more than a year and a half after the remodeling was completed. ASawyer Construction & RoofingThey showed up reasonably on time. He had a problem getting to my house using his GPS, but that is not uncommon for my house for some reason. They brought everything they needed to complete the job and cleaned up the mess after they were done. The owner is very personable. He returned phone calls promptly. I really, I had no issues at all. AStone Age MasonryAfter our chimney leaked tremendously last winter when it rained, even after flashing was replaced, we were told by a repair guy that the bricks were so old that the brick chimney from the roof up needed replacing. We received one estimate that seemed a bit high, so we looked for another company and found Stone Age Masonry in the phone book. According to the ad in the phone book, the company provided free estimates. I called the phone number listed and Eddie answered. He said he could come by to look at the chimney and offer an estimate the next day. This he did, and because I was not home when he came, he called late that day to give his quote. He was very polite and said that most likely his quote was lower than any other we'd get and he hoped to hear from me. Although we did receive a slightly different quote and went with the company that provided it, I definitely appreciated Eddie's willingness to take a look at our chimney, and I was grateful that he was willing to do this in a location 35 miles from his home.- gretchen b.

AKentucky Lake RemodelingScott and his five-person team are true professionals - knowledgeable, respectful, dependable and very nice people! They built our new 30'x30' screened-in porch as if it belonged to them with solid construction, and beautiful, significant attention to every detail. They also accomplished electrical and gas projects, stained the porch and replaced the roof on our house - incorporating it nicely into the porch roof. All on schedule and in just five weeks! AD&R Home Services IncWe recently got a contract on our home. The inspection was performed and of course there is always a nit picky list as a result. We needed mortar repair, soft wood repair and flashing repair as well as have a baseboard put back that was taken off for electrical repair. D & R called promptly to set up an appointment for the repair estimate was on time, provided an estimate quickly, answered questions and provided their professional insight. I e-mailed them asking when they could start and within the week they had started the job and completed it within less than 2 full days. We have had work done previously on our home - this was the best experience yet. With over 20 years of home ownership and hiring many a company I couldn't be more pleased. We had called some mortar repair and chimney repair companies who wanted to charge thousands of dollars as they wanted to bring out scaffolding or an electric lift. Bill performed the chimney repair on a 40 foot ladder and knocked the chimney work out and did a great job!!! He redid the work that was done when we bought the house 7 years ago. The previous job never looked good now it looks seamless. If you have something large or small you will be pleased with the knowledge and professionalism of both Rusty and Bill. Recently I had heard a co-worker talking about the work they had performed using Angie's list in another state. The gentleman said he uses the people off of Angie's list for everything and has been 100% satisfied. This is my first time using Angie's list and I am 100% satisfied.- Joseph M.

AGRECH BROTHERS INCBrian Grech immediately pinpointed the problem and replaced our chimney chase cover. Brian is an excellent communicator and does exactly what he tells you he will do. Two other companies had been hired previously to figure out the leak, but it was Brian Grech who knew immediately what the problem was. His work was tested a week later when we received quite a bit of rain (just before we replaced the roof), and absolutely no leak!! We had thought it might be the roof, but he was almost certain it was the chase cover and he was absolutely right. FTerrible, he was hired in August of 2018. And a contract didn't get a officially sign until November 2018 he was paid up front $18,300 and basically did nothing didn't deliver material didn't perform any work so he was fired. He has since t been arrested and forced to pay the money back. But only after Nicholas Jackson the owner of platinum Roofing was arrested.and im still after a year am waiting on my money.

FI purchased a house that had been previously treated by BDry of Louisville. The seller failed to make me aware that the warranty on the work had to be transferred within 45 days (to be fair, who remembers tricky little rules like that intended to screw the consumer?) or it was void. Crappy rule, clearly intended to break the warranty when a house gets sold. They have the address - not like there is any possibility of confusion about where the work was done. No now I am selling the house. No warranty - ok, it is what it is. So I just asked Lynn at BDry to just provide a little info on what work was done. BDry refused to disclose due to "company policy" because I wasn't the original buyer. OK, don't understand - it is my house now, but it is clear we aren't getting past this. So I suggest: how about I contact the person I bought the house from, and ask them to agree to let BDry get me info on the job? that should satisfy company policy. So now the story changes: yesterday it was "we will need permission from the person who contracted with us". Today, Lynn asks an unnamed VP (and refused to give me the VPs name when asked - so petty) - and the mystery VP (Lynn said "she") said the only thing they were willing to do is come out for $125 and "inspect" the system and provide a report. All I want is a copy of the paperwork - that Lynn already had to pull and had in hand. How hard is that to make a "second degree' customer happy? But no - not even with approval from the original owner. Disappointing. I certainly won't ever use them based on this experience. To be fair - basement has been dry the whole time we've been there. Not sure if that is because of the work, or because the original flooding hasn't happened again - because I'm not sure what exactly they did.

AIt's beautiful. We have a patio, firepit and retaining wall. They were awesome to work with and would recommend to all. They really treat people the way they would treat family. Don't be surprised if you ask them to bid a project, with other contractors bidding as well, and Authentic Stone is the only one to reply. That's your first sign. Don't be surprised if you receive other bids and AS comes in the lowest. That should be your final sign. No subs, they do the work themselves, great communication and job was done in 5 days. We look forward to having them back for more jobs.

AI am beyond impressed with the work and customer service provided by Counter Culture! They truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had a exceptional experience. We visited quite a few different granite/quartz showrooms in Lexington and found that Counter Culture had the best selection for white quartz and was reasonably priced. What really made our experience so great was that after the counters had been installed, that evening we realized we needed our dishwasher bracketed to the counters. We texted GJ (the President of Counter Culture) and he came out at 7:00pm that same night. We were not expecting him to drop everything and come out that night and were blown away by the level of care and customer service he provided. While the counters and workmanship is beautiful, I think our experience speaks volumes to the overall experience and attention you will receive as a customer here!

AThey were quicker then anyone else to get me a free estimate and did an excellent job, once I approved their invoice. I voiced a minor concern, which they fixed quickly and without complaint. I would hire them again and when it is time to re-roof my home, they will be the first place I call. There was water damage all long the length of one part of my roofing, about 22 feet?, requiring the base wood underneath to be replaced and new shingles and winter guard put on roof. Cost $800 which seemed very reasonable. Thanks!
