Richmond Window Installers Reviews

"Our 30 year old house is a little under 2000 sq. ft. and two stories. The old cedar siding (which covered about 3/4 of the house, the rest is brick) was weathered and worn, in need of treatment and some panel replacements and the gutter was a little worse for wear. My wife and I decided we wanted to go with the more maintenance free vinyl siding and chose

Outlet after shopping around for contractors and gathering estimates. Fortunately the siding color we chose (sandy tan) was in stock and they were able to begin 3 days after being hired for the job. On Monday October 17, 2011 the siding crew arrived and began their work. Unfortunately the weather was not very cooperative and the work had to be delayed 3-4 days during the process due to rain, but when they were here they were relentless in their job. My wife and I asked ,several times, why certain things were done the way they had been done and

(the lead installer) explained everything to our satisfaction. He even saw to it that the light fixtures and outlets, along with whatever else we had hanging from the house were installed and mounted properly.

(as well as the rest of the siding crew) was very professional while at our residence and respectful of what we wanted, stopping their work several times to offer us options on how the siding was installed on certain areas of the house. The new siding and guttering has completely changed the character of this house and my wife and I are absolutely thrilled with the finished product. The gutter crew came in about 2 days before the final touches were put on and finished their job in roughly 5 hours. This crew was no less professional and respectful as the siding crew, and both crews are welcome to work here again. The working relationship and end results will have us using

"I first realized that they would not allow me to pay the install costs after the job was completed. They wanted all the monies up front. Secondly, I discovered they did not do the work, they subcontracted (this is not evident by their commercials). Third, I went through 4 different companies to get my windows so that they were working and looked professionally installed. The work started 5/11/07. It is still not completed as of 10/9/07. 10/10/07 the fourth contractor is supposed to be at our house under the watchful eye of the store manager to ensure that the work on the outside is finally completed to our satisfaction and is done by the end of the week. The work on the inside is to be completed by someone else. God only knows when and if this will ever be completed. We have asked for our money back but have been refused. I could have done a better job not having any experience at all. The work so far, is substandard and I would not recommend this company to anyone."

"I wouldn't even give them an F-- I'd give them a Z-minus. After the salesman explained what would be done, we could never get in touch with him again. We contacted the owners, and they were extremely condescending. They have our check in hand, and excuses by the

"Great. Called several window companies for an estimate on a custom bow window in our 38 year old home. The original was custom built, huge (73" x 114") and covers almost an entire wall in our living room. It was made from 12" x 12" glass panes with wood lattice in between. The estimates were very high ranging from $4,600.00 to $6,000.00. One company even told us that the window could not be replaced and that we should just have it repaired (replacing all the individual panes and wood).
I called

because they had installed all the new replacement windows (10) in our house several years before. The representative from

was amazed at the size of the original window and brought his crew chief in to take a look. They measured, talked, scratched their heads, talked some more and measured again. They came up with a plan and said "yes we can do it." The window had to be built and shipped, which they said would take 6 to 7 weeks. Six weeks later the crew showed up and installed the window (5 panels with 2 casement side panels), wrapped everything in vinyl and cleaned up. It's gorgeous! We noticed a drop in our electric bill right away. The crew said it was the largest window they had ever installed. Thank you to Bill
