    UTC - Lexington
went to UTC for a sore throat, I was seen by the Nurse Practitioner, she check my glads/throat etc. she then asked what the spot was on my jaw line, (assuming it was a infected hair) she confirmed it was a staph infection. long story short very through.

In each case, no appointment was made, and in two cases I arrived early Saturday morning and found the wait reasonable, but the latest visit was at 4PM in the afternoon and the wait was very long although there were lots of people in the waiting room and there was continual movement, which at least makes you think you may get called soon. Once in the treatment room the wait was very short (in the range of less than 4 minutes). The interaction with the PA was very professional and they were willing to discuss what they were doing and when they did not know an obvious treatment, assistance was requested and a treatment plan was developed with help (don't know who, but the person attending me left the room, got more information and then returned with what seemed like a reasonable treatment. Treatments in all cases took care of my problems. Staff was professional and helpful, but maybe since it was on Saturday morning or Friday afternoon (after a busy day), the staff did not seem really friendly or outgoing. Just professional and efficient.

    FIRST CHOICE - BRIGHTON
I arrived on a Saturday, just after they opened. There was one other person ahead of me. The receptionist collected my information and co-pay, and I only waited about 20 minutes to see the doctor. After checking my blood pressure, throat, ears and so on, she asked me some questions about how I'd been feeling and diagnosed me with a cold-like virus. She prescribed some cold and flu medication and said the rash would go away within 48 hours or so. It did. It truly gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing that I could get immediate medical help when my doctor's office is closed!

This clinic is a wonderful resource. This was only the most recent of several positive experiences that my family and I have had there.

They are fantastic.  They have a great doctor on staff.  The nurse practitioners are very friendly and knowledgeable.  They discuss things with you.  I have had to keep going back because my daughter gets recurrent ear infections.  They have been outstanding.  They are a fantastic substitute for a pediatrician for someone who doesn't have insurance.  They give us discounts.  You can just walk in.  I've never had to wait more than 45 minutes.  They call you the next day to see how you're doing.

It was really nice. I didn't even have to make an appointment. I just walked in. I got to see a nurse practitioner that was very knowledgeable and basically mailed my prescriptions over to Walgreens. The whole trip took less than an hour. It was very quick. After filling out forms which was the longest part, it only took 5 or 10 minutes to get in to see a professional who was able to diagnose my problem and did my prescriptions directly to Walgreens. So all I had to do was go to the pharmacy and pick up my antibiotics. It was a great experience. I have never had as good an experience anywhere else. The office environment is good. I don't know yet about the effectiveness of treatment.
