Gutter Repair reviews in Richmond

The roof is great. Very happy with the quality and most importantly, the warranty by AIC and GAF. The new gutters make the roof stand out and looks awesome. I appreciate the professionalism from the first sales meeting to the final walk through. Any project of that size has a few glitches here and there. AIC was completely professional and listened through the whole process and made good on every promise and workmanship. I would definitely recommend.

I'm glad I chose Advanced Roofing & Construction as everything that owner Bobby Goosey promised, he delivered very professionally and quickly in Nov, 2016. My final payment to him was the same as we had agreed to before the work started. During the quoting phase, Bobby examined my roof by walking on it and measuring it. He took the time to discuss options and pricing for various materials along with his recommendations and most popular choices that others have made, which I appreciated. On the first work day, Bobby's roofing crew replaced the roof shingles with 22 sq of 25 yr Owens Corning shingles, replaced (2) sheets of damaged roof plywood, found and repaired a broken roof truss, and changed the roof vent system to full continuous ridge vent per Bobby's recommendation and my agreement. On day two. Bobby's gutter crew replaced all of my gutters and downspouts and covered all gutters with Shur-Flo leaf guards. They also repaired and spackled the damaged ceiling in my bathroom on Day 2. Both crews were very hard working, efficient and courteous to me and were very careful to not damage my property as well as removing all project debris from my property. Bobby personally inspected the job several times during the 2-day project. I will definitely call Bobby at Advanced Roofing for any future home construction job.

Absolutely high quality materials and workmanship at a good price. Work was done on time, efficiently, and cleanup was complete.
The installation was done with care to not cause any damage to landscaping or any other areas.
Mr Thompson has lived up to his longstanding reputation in this area and is great to work with. He has been able to give me good advise and recommendation on the materials and type of installation I needed to choose from. Also helped with planning for other phases of renovation not connected to current projects.
On a previous job about a year prior to the Gutter and Soffit work he installed new prime windows and went out of his way to correct some deficiencies in the house not connected to his contracted work.
All his work is top quality.

Damage to house May 23, 2014.  Bid accepted, contract signed. first part of insurance money paid June 2, 2014.  Roofers came in late July, were very unprofessional, took two days to roof 1500 sq ft house(similar sized house took less the 1/2 day).  Left nails in yard, debris on grass and offended the neighbors with their language,  Guttering replaced no problem.  Patched siding on August 26, was not acceptable, insurance agreed to replace the entire end of the house.  Siding ordered.  On October 22, siding and a dumpster were left on driveway and in yard. On the following Monday 10-27, dumpster was removed.  After two weeks called asked when siding would be installed Given the run around no definite date.  On Tuesday November 25, returned from work to find two men there who had been working on siding I presumed.  Parked on street went into house, notice I had no electricity.  Went back outside, the "contractors" were gone.

Checked with neighbors, everyone else has power.  Called Rural Electric, they came out and pulled meter so I could call electrician , as the problem was in my house.  This is at 4:30 pm.  It is cold.  Electrician came, something has happened to breaker box.  Realized that besides knocking boxes off walls in garage, that the siding folks had done something to my breaker box.  Called Jason Adams (Craftsmen) told him what was going on, he told me I had done the right thing by calling electrician, let him know what I found out.  What found out, the persons installing the siding has use 2 1/2" nails and nailed through my breaker box. My power was restored at around 11:30 that night after the REA came out and reinstalled meter and I paid the electrician for replacing my breaker box and rewiring the new one.  My electric service was out more than 12 hours, it was cold. It was dark.

Called Jason back, he said Craftsmen would pay for electrical repairs.  I assured him they would. No further word  Craftsmen.  Finally emailed on December 2,  told story and requested credit on bill.  No response.

Emailed Jacob Hardy on December 3.  Responded platitudes intended to pacify.  Assured me apply credit to remainder of bill, and let me know by the end of the day on December 10th, when he would have workmen out to repair drywall.  Again the 10th, came and went no word.  On December 15th emailed again to Mr Hardy, told him to forget the drywall repair as he had forgotten me and asked him to deduct the drywall repair from my bill.   No response.

    Gave up for Christmas.

On January 6 renewed quest, finally Mr Hardy called left word on my answering machine that he would credit the repair, send the bill, and that he was sorry I was so "frustrated".  They emailed me a copy of the adjusted bill with the amounts mentioned credited, the date of the bill was 09-26-2014.  Emailed back that I wanted a paper copy in the US Mail and requested a date change on invoice as the work was not completed until November.  Received bill in mail Thursday 01/08/2015.  Mailed payment 01/09/2015.

I choose this company because of the BBB rating  and Angies List. I would not recommend to anyone. .  From June 2, 2014 to January 9,2015 is simply  too long.  I do not feel I was taken seriously as I am  a woman, and I tried to be nice.  Nice seems to equal stupid in the mind of Craftsmen Roofing and Restoration..

They arrived on time. Worked all day. I'm not even sure anyone took a break; it was the most hard-working group I've ever seen. They worked until dark and completed the roof in one day! Our house is apprx. 3000 sf. I would hire them again.

I got a big deal from Angie's List.  The guy who came out got up on the roof with his assistant and they took pictures.  They told that there was a problem on the roof and they were going to clean out my gutters.  They were going to charge me $400 to put a rain gutter protector on the roof.  I never heard back from them.  They were supposed to clean out the rain gutters, but I never knew they did that or not.  They never told me about it.  I hired them because of the big deal.  It was hard to get them to come out, so I had to call to get the correct number.  I am glad that I didn't have to pay them $400 and glad that they didn't come back.  They acted very professional.  I was very impressed with their technical ability.  The price for the inspection was great.

The work took a while to complete because is was necessary to coordinate the work that Denny did with the work of the Roofing Contractor, Hendricks Roofing (reviewed previously). Some siding work was done and then the roofing was done and then the gutters and downspouts were done.
I found the crews that worked to do quality work and they left the area reasonably clean both during the work and after completion.  David Denny come by after the work was complete to do a walk-around to be sure that everything was done satisfactorily and corrected a few minor items that we noted.  The work was reasonably priced and it was done for the estimated price even though there were a few extra items that were added during the process.
I would definitely use Denny again but it is sometimes necessary to make several calls to get the estimates completed.  I was flexible with the timing and the work was done well.

The job was kind of a mess.  They never arrived on time.  He said that they would arrive at one time and we wouldn't see them until later.  Once they got here the work was good.  The roofing was fantastic and the painting was okay.  They did clean a little of the mess up. They hauled away the old shingles and ran a magnet over the driveway to check for nails.  We did have to do extra clean up after they had left.

Our 30 year old house is a little under 2000 sq. ft. and two stories. The old cedar siding (which covered about 3/4 of the house, the rest is brick) was weathered and worn, in need of treatment and some panel replacements and the gutter was a little worse for wear. My wife and I decided we wanted to go with the more maintenance free vinyl siding and chose Window and Door Outlet after shopping around for contractors and gathering estimates. Fortunately the siding color we chose (sandy tan) was in stock and they were able to begin 3 days after being hired for the job. On Monday October 17, 2011 the siding crew arrived and began their work. Unfortunately the weather was not very cooperative and the work had to be delayed 3-4 days during the process due to rain, but when they were here they were relentless in their job. My wife and I asked ,several times, why certain things were done the way they had been done and Mike (the lead installer) explained everything to our satisfaction. He even saw to it that the light fixtures and outlets, along with whatever else we had hanging from the house were installed and mounted properly. Mike (as well as the rest of the siding crew) was very professional while at our residence and respectful of what we wanted, stopping their work several times to offer us options on how the siding was installed on certain areas of the house. The new siding and guttering has completely changed the character of this house and my wife and I are absolutely thrilled with the finished product. The gutter crew came in about 2 days before the final touches were put on and finished their job in roughly 5 hours. This crew was no less professional and respectful as the siding crew, and both crews are welcome to work here again. The working relationship and end results will have us using Window and Door Outlet for our window replacements and installation in the (not too distant) future.
