We were beyond thrilled with the work Lou did for us!! His work is exceptional. He was here every day when he said he would be and at the end of the day, he made sure that the area was vacuumed up and livable. We were very impressed that he utilizes a portable hepa air filter so the house stayed dust free and there was no need for hanging plastic sheeting. Lou was very flexible and always willing to go the extra mile. His only concern was that we were happy with the result. Weve worked with other contractors before, but have never experienced the level professionalism and craftsmanship that we have with Lou. We wont bother calling anyone else for future projects.

I would highly recommend Jon Klare to complete any renovation project that you are doing in your home. Jon was reliable, punctual, professional and did an excellent job. Jon was also very patient and understanding when we made unexpected changes to our project. Jon also had to pick up materials that we had forgotten and he even repaired our back-splash that was delivered broken. I am 110% satisfied with the outcome of our bathroom and also the experience we had with Jon Klare. He is coming back in a few months to work on our next project. Karen Witemyre

We contracted Kentucky Home Improvement to work on our 1865 Italianate house; our projects included demolish and rebuild of a second floor deck with composite material, demolish and rebuild of an existing kitchen addition, modification a load bearing wall, and constructing a green roof on top of a detached garage. Mike Townsend and his crew were incredibly professional and friendly, and were able to finish our projects ahead of schedule; Mike was even willing to attend our meeting with the Historic Preservation Board when we presented our projects for approval. Our construction began after we purchased our home with a 203K loan; we were very pleased with the way Mike worked with us, and our mortgage broker, and HUD inspector to complete the process. Mike was always very prompt in responding to emails and texts and was open to any changes that we needed to make. He is reliable and starts when he says he is going to start. Even with a very cold winter, his crew was working non-stop to make sure our property was finished as quickly as possible. The crowning achievement with our relationship with Mike was the green roof. This engineering challenge required the removal of a gable roof on top of a detached 2-car garage, reinforcing the structure with steel I-beams, installing a drainage system, filling the space with soil and grass seed, building a pergola, building a horizontal privacy fence around the perimeter of the structure, building a bench, and adding electrical outlets. Mike turned what was originally a crazy idea, that turned into sketches and renderings, to reality and we are very pleased with the end result; this project added 250sqft of grass to an urban property that had none to begin with, and our dogs thoroughly enjoy having the extra green space. Mike also worked very well around any additional contractors that we needed to bring in (furnace went out unexpectedly and Duke had to upgrade our service and raise our service mast). Kentucky Home Improvement was certainly not the cheapest option, but the quality was well worth the price difference. We would highly recommend Mike Townsend to anyone looking for a contractor; our advice would be to make sure you have invested some time thinking through your plans, be open to professional opinion, and understand your budget.

Built by B did an absolutely beautiful job on my kitchen and powder room. I live in a house that was built in 1841, so they were dealing with a rather old home. They are wonderful to work with, for many reasons. Working with an older home, there are always issues that you can run into. They will discuss with you any problems and give you options on how to fix it. They are very cognizant of the fact that they are working in your home. Therefore, they are meticulous not only with the job they are doing but the condition of your home when they leave every evening. In my home, they put in new flooring, new cabinets, new backsplash, moved the gas range and refrigerator, put in a tin ceiling with crown moldings, put in electrical lights, installing a 125 year old leaded glass window, and painted. I decided to have them continue the floor into the powder room as there was a trip hazard which they corrected. Everyone who has seen the kitchen has been in total awe with both the new look and the craftsmanship. I would highly recommend Built by B to anyone.

All went great. The building is old construction and extremely old and everything had to be custom made and built to fit. There is still more to do and I will continue to use them now and for future work. I have referred them to several friends already. They are conscientious, careful and trustworthy. Also extremely reasonable with price. Great communication and updates with everything as well.

I spoke with Dan about arranging a meeting at my home to get a cost estimate to remodel a bathroom. He said that he would call me back. Several days passed and no call back from Dan. I called again and left a message. No call back from Dan. So if you call Dan and seek his services, FYI, he may not call you back.

He showed up late the day of the appointment. We went through the whole house said he would contact us with the estimate and told us the material that would be needed. So we bought the materials.  We never heard from him again.

After thorough research on Angie's List of possible candidates to remodel our masterbath, my wife and I had three different contractors, including Dan Grable, come to our home to bid the job. Although not the least expensive of the three, Dan's bid was very competitive with the other two. However, it was the page-after-page of sterling reviews (and I read them all) written by his previous customers that was the deciding factor in our decision to hire Dan.
The following is a summary of what you can expect should you decide hire Dan Grable:
) Dan is prompt! As promised, Dan was here every morning at 8:30 am and ready to work. And other that the brief break he took to eat a lunch he had brought with him from home, he worked consistently for the eight days it took to complete the job, never leaving any earlier than 5 pm..
) Dan is respectful of your home and possessions. Dan started and ended every day by putting down and taking up drop cloths from the entryway all the way to the masterbath on the second floor. It was also common to see Dan cleaning his work area, and the area around it.
) Dan is a combination of artist and old world craftsman. Dan sets a very high standard for the quality of his work, and cuts no corners that may jeopardize that standard. Dan "loves" his work, and it shows.
) Dan is reliable. Not only does Dan do everything he's agreed to do, the perverbial 100%, he goes
    well beyond that.
As stated earlier, Dan worked in our home for eight days. During that time Dan consulted with me regarding several issues that arose, seeking my input and making suggestions of his own. It was during the course of those, and other conversations, that I was able to develope a very high opinion of, and respect for Dan Grable. Unfortunately for us, people like Dan Grable are a dieing breed. However, it is more unfortunate for the hacks out there who call themselves contractors that, although few and far between, people like Dan Grable still exist.

Chris was a knowledgeable and thorough professional who completed excellent work who goes the extra mile to provide good service.
After inspecting the problem, Chris informed me he would need to go to Home Deport to find the part. Unfortunately, due to the low priced Delta faucet, it was not available. Chris called me to let me know this information. Also, to tell me he would check at several other stores. Chris finally had to go to Milford, Ohio as a speciality store to locate the part.
This was way up and beyond the call of service which I truly appreciate it. Chris stated and quot;Well, you need your water onand quot;. This really made me feel he was a caring individual as well as a professional providing excellent service.
Chris also, put my shower door on my full lenghth shower. He did not even charge me for this or the mileage/time locating the part. And he gave me information as to what may be needed (certain screws) to ensure the door stays on the tracks.
I am well pleased, and hope everyone will review my experience with Chris to call him for any service Chris provides.

We couldn't be happier with the work done by Tom.
The project ended up being more involved than we had anticipated (moving air ducts). But Tom was able to make it all work and now we can walk from the kitchen to the living room without going all the way around the house.
The extra stair he took out is barely noticeable. Unless you get down and look at it, it appears the stairs were never built any other way.
During the projects he always made sure to set up air vacuum (not sure what the technical term is) and sealed off the area with plastic so debris and dust did not get all over the house. He always cleaned up at the end of the day.
We also called him a week later to replace some crumbling dry wall at a different location in the house. Again we were very happy with the service provided at a reasonable price.
