    The Plaster Surgeon
Curtis correctly identified what the previous repair on historical plaster was and how it was deteriorating. Did a decent job on applying the same fiber mat and mud as the previous repair. Not real plaster work, but what I needed for this fix since the area in question wasn't plaster work either. Would probably not use for real historical plaster work, but great for these kinds of fixes. Finished surfaces could have been a bit straighter (there were some dips near where the repair joined the neighboring surfaces), but it was ready to paint when he was done.

    Chris Bennett Contractor
Chris was punctual and thorough. His attention to detail was excellent. Through each step of the project he was flexible and listened to our requests. The job was completed on time, on budget and better than we had planned.

    Ddd Drywall
It went exceptionally well! Dwight not only responded, but he'd ask to come look at what need done on a Sunday - Again... A Sunday! He was very courteous, professional, knew what needed to be done as soon as he'd seen what was there. He'd use an iPad to take photos and within minutes responded with a documented quote that was far less than I'd expected. His partner Gentry would be there the very next day to start the work. After just a day I couldn't believe the difference that DDD made. One would never know the mess that was left behind even occurred. Gentry not only completed a world class job (pulled off the impossible), but he'd also clean all the dust and debris the previous contractor had left behind! I cannot rave about this company and their personnel enough! I'm in an older home that I'm bringing up/modernizing and there's going to be a lot of work to come. I will be calling these guys for those needs in the future without any hesitation.

    Dadstasks Painting and Remodeling LLC
I give this vendor rave reviews: Professional, prompt, quality work, excellent cleanup and fair pricing.  I cannot say enough good things about the paint crew.  Their work was outstanding!  For those that may consider using Dadstasks for painting,  I highly recommend you allow them to use the brand of paint they suggest.
The vendor's pricing is fair and competitive with others doing similar work.  In life, you most often get what you pay for.  The vendors on Angie's List do not consider themselves "Not for Profit Organizations."  They are entitled to earn a living, and the word "Profit" is not a dirty word!  My family would enjoy having them return, and I have recommended them to a neighbor that may need some painting in  the future.

I interviewed several contractors for our project and after meeting Pete and walking through the project with him, I knew he was the right person for the job.  We had some minor water damage in the plaster around a couple of our windows and it was hard for me to find someone who was good at both painting and plastering.   Pete and his team did a great job.  The plaster work turned out better than I expected and the quality of their painting is admirable.  One of the things I appreciated most about Pete was that he is very good at communicating.  We always knew what work was on deck when they were at the house.  He is also very good about calling or texting (which we often did) when there is a question about some aspect of the work. Most importantly, I appreciated Pete?s honesty.  When he originally bid the project he said he would use Sherwin Williams top of the line paint, which at the time was their Duration line, but when he found SW had a new top tier paint called Emerald, he let us know he would be using that instead. The Emerald line is a few dollars more per gallon and Pete did not adjust the original quote.  The Emerald line is no VOC, so we had no paint smell and the colors are very vibrant.  Pete and his crew were very good about cleaning up every day.  They put their materials out of the way, so it did not impact our lives too much. Finally, Pete is very accommodating, and at our request, he expanded the scope of work in a few areas, without making me feel trapped or giving us an inflated bid for the additional work.   I would highly recommend Pete for anyone looking to have painting and plaster repair work done. He treats his work with the seriousness of a craftsman. I normally paint myself, so this was an experiment for me and it was totally worth it because it allowed me to focus on other things. We plan to have Pete back to issue us a bid for some additional painting and crown molding work.

    Robert Sullivan Painting
Mr. Sullivan was very easy to contact by both phone and email. He came out on short notice to do the estimate. His price was reasonable and he was available to start the following week. It only took 3 1/2 to complete all the work as promised. The water damages area was completely repaired and looks great now. As for the bedroom, we had him remove the old texture from the ceiling, skim coat, primer and paint the ceiling in a 20' x 14' bedroom. The results were amazing and it looks like a completely different room now. We absolutely love the work he did and plan on having him come out to refinish some of our other bedrooms as well. Mr. Sullivan was even nice enough to let our dog out for us when he left for the day each day!

Charles was very polite and professional; he seemed like a very nice man.  Unfortunately, the price was way too high.  Other estimates we'd received ranged from $1,300 to $1,800.  We were providing the materials, all we needed was the work done.  He asked for $2,500 (and that's with the $100 discount coupon), and would not budge on the price at all.
I'm sorry we couldn't make it work since he got such glowing reviews from others on this site.

Ken was very prompt on both for the estimate appointment and the scheduled work time.  His attention to detail and the care he took in making sure the job site was cleaned up daily and the work completed on time were fantastic.  We will definitely call Ken if and when we need any plaster or stucco work done.

Repair to living room ceiling/ hallway wall and repair of bathroom drywall.  I have a flattened stucco that was damaged by water.  I live in a 100 year old house which has had many small repairs in this stucco over the years.  Ken did not match the stucco at all-- worst repair of all.
