    Countertops And Cabinetry By Design
They installed porcelain tile in two bathrooms. The tile was chipped, but installed anyway. They installed two cabinets and two countertops, with sinks, This went well. The chipped tile in one bathroom ruined the whole experience for me. They left before tightening the faucets, and the spout was loose on one faucet, and the handles were loose on the other. I give them a D overall, since there labor has no warranty, and tile will have to be repaired. There was another installation issue that they fixed.

They have been a dream to work with. We've had so many appointments because I kept changing my mind on the cabinets, and she was so patient and let me take home samples to see how it would compare with other wood in the house. The men that came in that had to cut the hole for the sinks were great, I didn't have any problem at all. They did a great job attaching the countertops to the cabinets.

    Countertops by Nathan

I contacted "Countertops by Nathan" via email on October 6th, 2014 about replacing our countertops and back splash for our kitchen.  I received a reply from Connie that same day. She scheduled an appointment to give us a quote. Nathan came to our house within 2 days and provided us with great sample products and pricing. My wife and I were extremely impressed with Nathan's knowledge and expertise with countertops.  We contracted with him that night and after a week or so, we decided on which colors and design we wanted.  On November 17th, 2014 Nathan and his crew came to our house as scheduled and replaced all counters, sink, faucet and tiled backsplash.  Wow, what a difference it made!  Our kitchen is now updated and looks great.  I would highly recommend Nathan for any countertop remodeling.  He was honest, on-time, professional and very reasonably priced. Also, there was no mess left behind.

Thanks Nathan, Nathan, Nathan, Connie, Jeff, and Chris!!!

    Mullikin Floors & More
My experience with Mullikin Floors and More was a very
positive one.  I started the process of
my home remodel in late September. I got quotes from several different places.  I started out by visiting Home Depot where
they convinced me to receive an estimate in my home.  That estimate cost me $35 to have them come
out.  I had them give me an estimate on
just the cabinets and a laminate countertop.
The estimate was for about $10,000, and that wasn?t even installing the
cabinets or countertops!  I received a
few other estimates for some Hardwood flooring in my living room and dining
room, as well as estimates for the tile in the Kitchen.  We also decided to re-carpet rooms in our
home.  This was becoming a hassle working
    with several different companies.  I
    decided to stop by Mullikin Floors and More across from Wal-Mart in Alexandria;
there big SHOP US LAST truck is hard to miss! I have to say I was shocked at
how many different selections they offered, from flooring to cabinets and
granite.  There showroom was very nice
and laid out so that their selections were very easy to see.  After talking with the very friendly and
informative staff I decided to have an estimate, where the owner (James) came
to my home free of charge.  James was
very helpful and had many great ideas in making my home even more beautiful
than I had ever thought possible.  My
whole project was quoted by James! Everything could be done with ONE
company!  As an example on how good their
pricing was, I compared theirs to Home Depot.
Home Depot was at about 10,000 for just material of cabinets and
    laminate countertops.  Whereas, Mullikin
quoted me for material and installation of Cabinets and Granite counter tops
and was a thousand dollars cheaper!  I
believe my cabinets were even better quality than the ones quoted by Home
Depot!  From start to finish Mullikin
impressed me with their excellent customer service and very professional
    install crews.  The Installation went
like a breeze and we had our home remodeled in less than 2 weeks.  In the beginning of this project I dreaded
the effort and work I would have to put into having it done, Mullikin proved me
wrong by making it very very easy on me and my family.  I can?t wait to recommend all of my family
and friends to this wonderful business.
    They truly are professionals!

    Mullikin Floors & More
They did a good job. The only thing is that I expected their guy to actually do the granite work, but they contracted out, but I kind of didn't like that, but everything was handled fine. I was satisfied with it, but I don't prefer that. I would use them again.

    Stone Design LLC
From the very beginning, Chrissy (the showroom manager) was very helpful and responsive unlike some of the other companies I had contacted.  I emailed her a basic drawing of our kitchen to get an estimate of having granite installed.  She didn't get the first one I sent and emailed right away to let me know it didn't come through.  The estimate was very reasonable and included a piece for our island as well as finished edge, template, install, and undermount sink cutout.  Once we accepted the bid, I sent a check for half as a deposit.  Chrissy sent me a list of granites and three different locations where we could go and actually view the slabs.  She even offered to meet us to help in the selection process.  We were put on the schedule right away for template and install but because of trouble with our kitchen remodel, I had to contact Chrissy and reschedule.  I was very nervous because I though we may incur a fee or lose our deposit or something but she was great.  She said she completely understood and to let her know when we were ready.  As soon as our cabinets were in I emailed Chrissy who put us on the calendar right away for the following Monday for template and 2 weeks from that for install.   The gentleman who came out to template for us was very professional and friendly.  He used digital imaging for the template.  Two weeks later the truck arrived with our countertops.  The installers were great; very professional, friendly and personable.  They took the time to make sure that they didn't scratch any of our appliances or new cabinets.  They hooked up our sink (not plumbing) and sealed our granite with a top of the line 15 yr sealer.  The counters look AMAZING!  The final bill was right on the original estimate so there were no surprises.  I would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future.

We chose Granite America to install out kitchen countertops and full-height granite backsplash.  We looked at several other providers before picking Granite America, mainly because they had a granite that we really liked.  During the installation, they scraped our cabinets.  They also mis-measured the full-height backsplash, so there is a 1/4" gap between the bottom of the cabinets and the top of the granite backsplash.  I paid a LOT of money to get the full-height granite backsplash, and do not expect there to be that big of a gap!  When approached about these issues, they eventually agreed (after some initial hesitation) to pay the full price to fix the scrapes on the cabinets and add molding to the bottom of the cabinets to hide the mis-measure mistake.  In the end, it all worked out, but it would have been nice to not experience these issues!

    Lowe's - Highland Heights

The cabinets came in as ordered.  Some doors were not consistenly stained properly, and a couple of drawers had defects in the solid wood.  We re ordered the doors and drawers and they came in with a mahogony stain vs our cherry stain. The second order of doors and drawers came in, but had the exact same staining issue as the original set... We decided to live with the difference.  It is now middle of November and our installer from Lowes, Bob Tiegarden, is still not finished with our "punch out " list that he asked us to put together.  The list is bascially, re positioning of a door so the bottom doors are equal, not hanging lower than the other. A few other adjustments to the automatic closing doors and the bottom trim that was not installed above our refrigerator.  Bascially, we are talking no more than 2 or 3 hours of work.   The installer called our house last week and said he would be here the next day in the am.  My wife waited up for him as she works 3rd shift.  He did not come nor has he called back.  I have called Lowes early this morning, and no return call at this point.

The granite counter tops came in exactly one month to date of selection.  So, be prepared to go one month without a kictchen sink if you order from the Lowes supplier.

Bottom line, we did save money by going with Lowes.  We do like our cabinets and counter tops. If I had to do over again, I would have used an in town installer that I am familiar with and most likely would use another suppllier other than Lowes. By the ways, the contact in charge of installations at Lowes said our account on the installation has shown completed "for a long time."

    Revolution Remodeling
Very well. Nick called me shortly after I made a request, he came out a few days later, he informed me that his company does everything as far as houses, roofing, bathrooms, I asked about seeing other projects he was currently working on, he said it was not an issue, he gave me a catalog of his previous projects to look through. The entire experience was professional and great. Nick's bid was fair, reasonable, and given to me very quickly. I tell anyone and everyone to call Nick if they have a remodeling project as his bid will always be competitive and the quality of experience from start to finish often unparalleled.

Concrete Concepts of the Tri State
Frank Davidson, owner of Concrete Concepts was amazing from start to finish. Very thorough in his presentation and what he could do for us to insure that we had a unique floor for our venue. We were shown samples as well as given a website with several finished floors that we could view, ask questions about, etc. We were able to get on their schedule fairly quickly and they were here each day when they said they would be and on time. A new, nearly 1000 sq ft. concrete floor was poured, control joints were cut, the floor was sanded back down once it cured, a trowel finish became the top coat and then acrylic stain and sealant. When necessary they worked into the night and showed up early in the morning. The floor looks absolutely beautiful. I would HIGHLY recommend Frank and his crew for your next patio, pool, sidewalk, enhancement. They can make old walkways look new and give them just about any look you want.
