Landscaping reviews in Murray

They call the day when they are coming and if I'm not going to be here, I just tell her and she is really good about working about another date because I always want to be here when they come. They ae very professional. Most of the time they have some Mexican people that work with that and there is always one person who is not Mexican that oversees the crew. If you have any questions they are extremely nice and professional.

We have established landscaping and they just do maintenance. I don't think they trimmed exactly like they should. Rolling Hills at least is an established business so I probably will continue to use them. I have been using them for about 20 years.

A good price and shared the upside and downside of the plants...including what could be done to prevent disease in the conifer we bought. Provided the chemical to use, how to apply, and that it could be used on my azeleas this spring.

They know their business and plant stock is normally very full, of good quality, and provides good support and information about the plants, trees, what have you in your landscape,

I spent about $3000 to $4000. They did all the way around the house landscaping. They removed a large tree and laid down new sod in a couple of places. They left the area perfect after they were done. The staff was great.

Mr. Gant knocked on my father's door at 1011 Sharpe Street in Murray, KY 42071, and said he was looking for work for he and his crew - tree trimming & removal. He saw that dad's yard might need work. Dad took pity on this man and went around back and negotiated with him to remove a dying tree from the backyard for a total cost of $325. About 20 minutes later, the tree was laying in the front yard, ready to be cut up and transported away. Mr. Gant knocked on the door again and told my father a story about him forgetting that he needed to pick up someone around the corner at a local deli and he needed to get to the bank before it closed, could my dad please pay him right now, and he'd be back in 20 minutes to finish the job. Dad said, "sure" and wrote Mr. Gant a check, because he wanted to help. Mr. Gant never returned and the enormous tree on the front lawn started killing the grass, and it had to be taken away. Dad tracked Mr. Gant down and asked him why he didn't come back to finish the job he had been paid in full for, and he made up a ridiculous story about a flat tire (the bank is next door and the deli was less than a block away). Mr. Gant finally came back to dad's house about 5 hours after he said he would that day, and he asked for additional money to cut up the tree and haul it away. Dad closed the door and called me. I paid $165 to a reputable landscaping and tree service and they had the entire mess cleaned up by morning. At this point, Mr. Gant at the very least owes us a REFUND of $165. After talking to neighbors, we've heard this is a regular scam that Mr. Gant is pulling in Murray, KY. Beware of the unlicensed con artist!

I called Mike with Simply Mowing. He was able to come out within two hours to give an estimate. I wanted the yard mowed that day because it was supposed to rain the next. He was able to fit me in for later that evening. He showed up on time, and did a great job. The price was very reasonable. I am extremely satisfied and will be calling him again.

When my wife's mother died, our neighbors very kindly gave my wife a gift certificate to Rolling Bills Nursery. We're both sorry that they wasted their and ultimately our money not to mention time. We added money to the certificate to pay for the planting because Rolling Bills doesn't guarantee any thing not planted by them. Heck, if you think about it, even someplace like Lowe's warranty is better than Rolling Bills. Anyway, they planted the first tree and it died within seven months. We called to have it replaced and they acted like we were stealing from them but finally agreed to replace the tree but only if we paid another planting fee. We've now paid as much for "planting" as the tree itself cost. They planted the tree and it also died in seven months.       We called again and were told that they wouldn't replace it. I as to talk to the owner, Rob, who turned out to be imperious and snotty. He said it was their "policy" and asked me if I wanted him to make an exception. I said no, I wanted him to honor everyone's warranty. He said "Well, the trees probably had bugs" and he wasn't responsible. I'm not sure what this was supposed to mean except that if the trees had bugs, they came in on his trees. During all this time, I planted four trees on my own and they all alive and healthy. Additionally, there are a good number of bushes and trees in the same vicinity as those planted by Rolling Bills and they are all lush and healthy. I worry now, that in addition to being over charged for poor products and service (all delivered with attitude) I may have jeopardized the health of all my other trees, bushes and vegetation. I have accurate pictures of these trees, the surrounding vegetation and all the receipts showing how we lost a lot of money.
Dos: Go to an honest nursery or store. There's a great one just across the street. Their products are great and they grow much of their own stock.
Don'ts: Don't go the Rolling Hills Nursery

I have used them for years.  They show up when they are suppose to.  They do a good job.  They are easy to deal with.  They charge a fair price and if there are any problems they will come out and fix it.

The weather hampered the start of the project because the old retaining wall allowed so much water to seep through. The workers were top notch and worked like they were working on their own retaining wall. They took the time and care to ensure the work was done right. One of the things that impressed me was that the workers checked with me throughout the project to make sure I was satisfied. John Watkins kept in touch with me when there were weather delays. I could not have asked for a more pleasant group of people to work with who bent over backwards to make sure their customer was happy. On a scale of 1 to 10, Rolling Hills is a 12, honest.
