Electrician reviews in London

Appt; made for following day. Technicians called 10 minutes before earliest arrival time to say they were on their way. Problem was mine; I could not get the breaker to remain in ON position and was "taught" that it must first be switched back to OFF, then to ON to remain working. They checked out several outlets to make sure this was the only problem, informed me about an outlet I had difficulty using; turned out to be a safety feature. The 2 men were polite, efficient, informative and even apologized for charging for what they did. Have used before and shall again.

Great! This is the third time we have used Vincent Abell Contracting for projects in our home. They also re-screened our porch and remodeled our master bathroom. We have been pleased each time. They are professional, courteous, and efficient. Their workmanship is top of the line. We sit in our new family room each night and are so happy with how it all turned out. We will definitely use them in the future.

Poorly. By way of Angie's List, I was put through by phone to Mr. Sparky's office in Louisville. I was told there would be a $56 charge for coming out. Fine, but when the fellow came, he said there was also a flat fee of over $200+ for diagnostic work. I was never told that on the phone. I would expect a service fee plus a charge for time plus parts and labor, but not a $300 dollar flat fee regardless of the job. It's outrageous for a probable simple repair. I paid the $56, which I thought was generous on my part. I really should get that refunded. Very disappointing. It reflects not only on the company, but also Angie's List.

The technician was professional and did a good job in installing the ceiling lights. I do have concerns regarding a labor rate of $120. per hour per man. I am also concerned that he took time away from installing the lights to check per his form whether the main water shutoff was grounded and whether our outside electric meter had a 8ft copper ground rod. We have had a number of electricians come out over the years, including a NCM electrician, without these issues being of concern ,.or needing to be addressed To me the identified issues were extraneous to the matter at hand so he could check the boxes on his form. The ten minutes that he took to check the above issues and try to sell a no ground rod installation should have been off the clock and I should not have been charged for that time. I would do further reviews, before deciding whether I would hire again.

Tommy Hendren was great. He showed up ahead of scheduled (but phone on his way over, so that was good). He completed the work quickly and well. Because I have the dreaded aluminum wiring in my condo, he used cop-alum fittings on all installations. (When he took down the hideous old ceiling fixture in the kitchen, he showed me that some wires had already fried to ash!) We discussed modifying all the wiring in my condo with cop-alum fittings for safety, and I do plan on contacting Corrigan Electric again to have this work done as soon as I've saved up for it. Highly recommend this company and this electrician.

They had a deal on the Angie’s List web page. They were on time and everything. They gave me 20% off, because they had a coupon on Angie’s List. I think it was close to $300, $279 or something like that and he gave me 20% off on that. I think it was like $233 or something like that. Price seemed reasonably. They are very responsive. I was having trouble getting people to come and he came like one day after I called. He was great, same as I would do.

My very first impression of the provider was that he was precise and friendly. What stood out the most about the quote was that it was a good price. We got to get everything done because there is naturally things that come along when you're doing construction.

Abell Contracting provided superior service and excellent workmanship. All contractors were timely, experienced and professional. The project manager was extremely organized, very knowledgeable and customer focused. I would use Abell Contracting again for any remodeling needs in the future.

Very professional, on time and work well done. We used Laswell Electric earlier this year during a bathroom remodel and
to do a range of electrical work prior to moving into our new h!ouisville home. All of the work was beautifully done and
We felt the cost was fair and reasonable.

They were able to come out three days after I initially called. The electrician called me to say he would be here in 10-15 minutes, so I headed home to meet him, and it was actually almost an hour before he arrived, but it was still well within the appointment window, so it wasn't a big deal.

He was very professional, and got to work quickly. He was really nice, and very accommodating to my 5-yr old who was interested in what was going on. He did a good job of minimizing the mess, the ceiling fan looks great and works perfectly, and he was done in 2 hours, which was less time than they estimated when I scheduled the service. I couldn't be happier with his work.

I only have one complaints related to cost, and it's pretty minor. I was told when scheduling that it would probably take 2.5 - 3 hours (since it required running wire through the attic and wall, and hanging a new electrical box, since there was no fixture there already), and the Angie's List offer covered for the first hour plus the service fee. I asked if I would be better off using the 20% off parts and labor coupon, and was told the offer would save me more than the coupon. I was also told there wouldn't really be any parts.

When I looked at the invoice, and saw that the hourly rate was $120 and the service fee was $60, I realized I would've been better off with the 20% coupon, and they should have been able to predict that, since any service of 2 hours or more is better with the coupon. Paying $135 for an offer that covers $120 worth of labor and $60 service fee is only $45 savings, but 20% off $240 is $48 savings, even if there are no parts, and the the savings are greater as the parts and labor costs increase further. I also found out that the parts that there really wouldn't be any of were actually $56.

Based on the time estimate, I was expecting to pay about $315 - $375 total, and it actually cost me $311, so I'm not really complaining, but I probably should've been told about the potential parts cost in advance, and I could've saved about $15 more if I'd used the coupon instead.

Overall, I was very happy with New Circle, and will absolutely use them again (this wasn't the first time I've had them do work for me). I'll just know to use the coupon instead next time.
