    I was told it would take 2 weeks. Fine. I dropped items off at the Barbour Lane site. Two weeks later when I go in to pick up, the young man (puts the phone down) tells me that it was pressed last night but hasn't been delivered to this location. Tells me I can go to the Holiday Manor location to pick up. He goes back to his call, doesn't call that location to confirm. I drive to the Holiday Manor location and am told by the owner that I can take it but it's unpressed. What? Then I'm told it's not a priority to clean household items before clothing. Very unprofessional! When you tell someone 2 weeks, you need to deliver in 2 weeks. No flimsy excuses! I will never recommend and the People's Choice Awards are a joke after this experience.

    I think they are good, but that is not a big surprise; everybody knows they are good. They have stores in several locations around the city. They have one in the town that I live in and they also have one on Highway 42 that I use. I go back and forth between them. We kind of go once a week actually because my husband has some shirts that they do. I don't know anybody else's prices so I don't have a really good comparison. I don't think they are inexpensive, but I don't have a good frame of reference. They are not perfect but they work with you. I take all of my best clothes there. I don't know anybody better than they are.

    Sam Meyers Dry Cleaning and Laundry
    Sam Meyers ruined two shirts with staining and shrinking. I visiting the shop several times afterwards asking to speak to the manager Tammy and called several times but could not get a response. I finally gave up and quit calling and going by the store. They still have my shirts that the manager was supposed to look at and give me a call. All my other shirts weren't completely ruined but looked worse than they did when I brought them in.

    Sam Meyers Dry Cleaning and Laundry
    This was the worst experience I've had with a dry cleaner and probably with any business. I tried the 10000 Brownsboro Road Sam Meyers Dry Cleaning location for the first time in October of this year. None of the several shirts I dropped off were clean and all except for the two that were completely ruined look a year or two older than when I took them there. The two ruined shirts were shrunk and stained beyond repair. I have been by the store several times over the last three weeks to try to talk to the manager Tammy but every time I am told she is not there and I cannot have an number to reach her with because her phone is "messed up". No one at the store will offer any thing to rectify the situation at all. I have sent an email to through Sam Meyers website but have not heard back from them at all. I would strongly advise anyone not to take their dry cleaning to Sam Meyers.

    Be aware!!! I bring a shoe to repair at this store, the lady at the desk let me know that I have to pay cash when I will get back my shoe. When I picked up my shoe she asked me $8.00, I paid (she did not provide any receipt), and then I realize that my shoe wasn't repair, they just sewing outside without taking care of the inside of the shoe. I told her that they did only a and quot;designand quot; repair and asked her to repair properly. She told me to came back in a week, she take my ticket from the trash can and give it back to me. Today I picked up my shoe which this time was repaired and she asked me to pay $8.00. I told her that I already paid and she refused to give me back the shoe and became very aggressive... I paid another $8.00 and I told her that I already paid.... So be aware, ask for a receipt... I think somebody should check their accounting, they ask only for cash and no receipt... I will never return to this store.

    I am creating my first Jelly Roll quilt, made up of pre-cut strips of fabric. I needed specific as to how many blocks I will need to make a queen size quilt. I received easy to understand directions, affirmation to my question and their suggestion of what other projects I could use extra Jelly Roll quilt blocks to make. I have viewed Kimberly Jolly's You Tube many times and felt, "I can do this " . Her web site had free downloads of other smaller projects to make. I have made several easy projects as gifts.her staff are very courteous, detailed and prompt as well. I live in Louisville, KY and the Fat Quarter a shop is a convenient one-stop shop I can utilize from my home via my iPad. Items are shipped promptly.

    He did an excellent job on my rings .. it's impossible to see where they were enlarged.  I took the rings to him 9/2 and they were ready to be picked up 9/3.  Very impressed with his work.  I would recommend him and I will certainly remember to get any other jewelry repairs done by him.

    They do a beautiful job!   Very professional results and almost always ready on time.  Private fitting rooms and lots of mirrors.   They often advise and suggest things that will help garments fit better.  Love this place!

    Alex's TG Alterations
    Alex is THE BEST tailor in Louisville!! Have been to others, but his suggestions and attention to detail is incredible. I had a very expensive blazer that I bought in a beautiful blue nubby wool fabric {lined}, but it was a bit big on me. Just needed to be taken in, but there were the pockets, back vent, and other things to consider. It is hard for me to find clothes that fit me...tall, thin, long arms, but he tailored that blazer to fit me like a glove. I have also used him on hemming 2 pairs of jeans. Would never know that it was not an original seam, he is that good. Definatly use him again!

    The Sewing Shop
    The curtains turned out well, but it took almost two full months to have minor alterations done. When I took the curtains in to have a specific type of backing put on, I was not informed that there would be any lengthy delays. Four weeks later, I called to check, only to find out the work hadn't begun. Then I called back several weeks later and was told there was a problem with the fabric I brought in. I replaced the fabric and the curtains were finally completed.
