    This is my last resort as the owner has now blocked/ won't return our phone calls. I want to share an awful experience I had with Champion Waterproofing and Piering and its owner Luke Haire. We paid Champion to replace our entire back patio as there were visible cracks, and Luke indicated they were "experts with concrete". The job they did was absolutely horrible as the finish wasn't right, the patio was poured sloping towards the house which caused water to accumulate against the house, and there are small puddle areas throughout. Luke agreed the slope was bad and would fix it. After weeks of back and forth, the pictures attached are his version of an acceptable fix for a brand new patio that we paid thousands of dollars for! Luke is now claiming that this occurred because I didn't seal the concrete yet and mud had washed on it. I have confirmed with several other concrete contractors, as well as others in the construction industry, that mud MIGHT stain the concrete, but would not cause it to settle or disrupt the finish. My experience with Champion Waterproofing and Piering and particularly with Luke, was nothing short of horrendous. This post is a fair warning, the work performed at my house and the subsequent bs I've gone through to try and get it corrected should be your expectation if you ever use their services.

    You need to STAY AWAY from this company at all costs unless you want to go to COURT to get your money back or get them to fix the WHOLE repair... (Jefferson county docket # 18-Ci-004584) to receive ... I hired Champion waterproofing to fix the foundation/ cracks and do 11 helical piers to stabilize my 1951 home/rental property.... The work was done over Memorial day week and it was NOT exactly aesthetic pleasing to the eye Champion��� tuck pointing ��� looked my 5 year did it on the home���s exterior and left sand and rock all over my backyard while driving over my neighbors backyard to get to my yard . ( Professional ?) I was assured by Champions representatives people would come back to make the appearance look better . They did 4 weeks later after repeated calls .. I listed the house on the market June 22 and we had significant rain or over the next 12 days and not only did Champions poly paneling barrier walls FAIL but in multiple place in the basement . While I was out of town my realtor made calls EVERYDAY for 4 days straight to never talk to anyone other than the secretary . After get a hold of mike brown would said the Owner would meet at the property more than a week after the initial leak. The owner ���Luke Haire explained that Mike Brown his head manager for this job ��� should have done��� some things that were not done and that he did free admit ��� I did pay for water proofing ��� . But out of principal and philosophy I would not give Champion and extra 1200 to fix mistakes they made and waterproof 80% of the basement. Champion ruined my 1500 dollar brand new carpet and would not even pay to clean the carpet. Last thing the owner said to me ���I WILL FIX IT, I DON���T FILE INSURANCE CLAIMS I WILL FIX IT ������ I waited 4 weeks for Champion / Luke Haire to do the right thing . He refused and that says a lot about the company and the owner. I have had to take the home off the market and sue Champion in court. Sincerely, Mr. Tarreck Yennes

    We hired Grimes Construction to grade & gravel our driveways, about 1/5+ mile long. Excellent work and prices. Work was completed on time as promised.     B-Dry installed drain around the inside perimeter & 2 sump pumps, they did amazing work, here it is 10++ years later and the basement is still dry! They did an amazing job, I don't think I'll need them again, because they have solved our wet basement problem, but would absolutely hire them again & do recommend B-Dry to everyone looking for a permanent solution for wet basements.

    Everything went very well. He came right away when our basement flooded and had everything ripped out so is nothing with mold. Everything was done quickly and I had nothing to clean up. Susman took care of everything

    Jeff Lockhart the owner took the time to come out to my home and assess the situation. Given the "settling" was not pronounced he recommended that I simply re-caulk the area and take a wait and see approach before pursuing any costly repairs. I very much appreciated that he was so honest and informed about the variables involved with my problem and was not quick to suggest a costly repair if none was needed. That was refreshing in this day and age. He also stressed how much a role nearby tree roots can play in affecting the slab under the room. I wound up removing the tree based on that observation. He also mentioned that jacking up the foundation in a bathroom particularly comes with its own set of problems given the proximity to the plumbing. Another aspect I had not considered. All in all - a very valuable free estimate!

    From initial phone call contact to final completion of project, UDI was top notch. Our contact, Howard, was responsive, prompt and extremely thorough with the explanation of the project, what it would entail, and how long it would take. We had a mega-amount of questions and he fielded all of them in a most professional and courteous way. His crew that did the work were awesome. They also answered any questions we had and if they couldn't we'd get a call back from Howard with answers.
    This job took them 5 full days and each day they left the basement so clean considering that they were jack hammering concrete and carrying out mud.  
    Its been almost a year since the job was completed and we still couldn't be happier with the work UDI did. We have not had one issue with water in our basement and we've been through some serious rain events in that time. A month after the system was installed we had 10" of rain over 2-3 days and basement stayed dry.

    Jeremy started the work in April, but we unfortunately had to put a hold on things when the basement turned out to need additional water-proofing.  We told him up front when that work would be complete and when he'd be able to re-start.  Since then (approximately June 3), someone has been out to our house maybe a total of 5 times.  He is OK at responding to text messages, but it seems like we've heard excuse after excuse about why our job is not complete (even though, according to him, it's a very simple job).  Jeremy is a nice person, and he might do good work (not that I'd know - nothing is done!), but at this point I feel as though I'm never going to see my $7000 ($5k for the remodel and $2k for the pump unit) again.

    I will start off this review by saying I fully expect Champion to reply back and say that everything I say is a lie. He did the same thing to my wife via email and when we filed a complaint with the BBB. However, I did not fully look into Champion's history as I should, so I hope this review will cause someone to do make sure they do their research prior to making a commitment.
    We had Champion come out and provide us a quote to waterproof our basement. The quote process began shortly after a week of downpours, causing some standing water in the basement. When Champion first got there, the first thing that I pointed out to them was that there is a drain at the bottom of the walkout to the backdoor. We have always blamed the drain for backing up and water coming in under the door due to getting covered with leaves and such. My comment to Champion was that this was not the only place water came in this time so it wasn't as much of a problem as we had originally thought. This was determined by the fact that we had a towel in front of the door that was only a little wet, but still had a lot of water in other areas of the basement.
    Champion quoted me to waterproof the the side of the house and along the front and put in a sump pump. After receiving multiple quotes from other companies, we chose Champion and had the work done on July 2nd.
    Champion doesn't have an electrician on staff, so they recommended one to us to have an outlet installed for the sump pump. I called the electrician they could not come out for three weeks. Therefore, I called a different electrician and had them come out and install the outlet on July 6th.
    The first big rain we had on July 12th, we once again had water in the basement. We immediately called Champion and gave them the news. Through a series of back and forth, Champion blamed the problem on the electric and said the sump pump was not working as a result. This was due to the fact that the electric box is full and we could not provide a dedicated circuit to the sump pump. I called the original electrician that Champion recommended and gave them the scenario. They told me that it would work fine as is as long as there was available power and the breaker was not tripping. I told this to Champion and they decided that the electrician was wrong and called a different electrician and sent them to my place. This electrician tested the sump pump and power and concluded that it was working properly and the electric was not the problem. $150 paid to the electrician to tell Champion them the same thing they were already told by their own recommended electrician.
    After the electrician left, I called Champion and did not get a call back. My wife sent two emails the next day before getting an email back saying the problem is our fault and that they can come in and do additional work for $1750 (see below for details)
    Champion's claims
    1. They say that I told them that the drain was not a problem and not to worry about it. They say that they repeatedly told me that the drain needed to be fixed and I would not let them.  This was not the case as I told them up front that it had been a problem for years.  When Champion provided their proposal, I did not tell them not to do anything they wanted (just as I did with the other
    quotes).  My assumption is that they know their business, so I would not question their proposal.
    2. Champion says that the sump pump not being on a dedicated circuit voids the warranty.  This is not
    written anywhere in the warranty.  On the original quote, Champion said they can have an outlet installed for $200.  Nowhere in the process was a dedicated circuit installed until after the fact when the waterproofing did not work.
    3. One of the places where water came in after the job was next to the crawl space.  The foreman told me that they should have done that originally.  Champion says that they came come back and do the crawl space and the drain for $1750.  The drain will tie into a 2nd sump pump per Champion?s design.  I question why they would want to put in another sump pump when they say the first isn?t working due to electric.  Wouldn?t the 2nd pump not work also due to electrical problems (as claimed by Champion)
    4.  Champion now claims that I am trying to get free work out of them.  Not the case at all.  I want it done correctly and Champion has already proved that they are not capable of doing that.  I do not want any additional work out of them.  I do not want to have to battle them in the future every time there is a problem because they will blame it on another factor.
    In the end, we paid nearly $3500 and still have problems. Champion wants us to spend more money and says the problem is our fault because they wanted to do the additional work initially but we would not let them.  My claim is that why would I only want part
    of the basement waterproofed?  The answer is that I would not; therefore there is no way I would tell them not to do anything they suggested. I have a lifetime warranty that is no good because no matter what happens, Champion says that it is not their fault.
    My wife called another waterproofing company to get a quote to do the job correctly and provided the scenario to them, without mentioning Champion by name.  Their first comment was, ?let me guess, you went with Champion and have been working with Luke (the owner).?  Based upon this, it would appear that Champion is being known for providing a poor service to the point that other companies know them by name.
    I looked up Champion recently and found on BBB that they have had 7 complaints in three years.  5 of these were marked as unresolved.  Also, Angie?s List has some unresolved comments.  Based upon these reviews, if you have problems them you might as well not even bother as Champion will claim that it?s not their fault.
