    Rumpke Restoration
Rumpke made an appointment to come out to my home and give me an idea of what they could accomplish in the 4 hrs. Appointment was for 8am, and they never showed up or called. I e-mail or called; Rumpke apologized and rescheduled. Jacob came out simply to work, and I showed him around my house. He spent 1.5 hrs taking photos, and I assume he?s doing the estimate.. Once the 1.5 hrs was done, he started working. Every 10-15 mins, he got a phone call. He took the phone calls outside. He got about 30 phone calls. He called and invited Joe, someone else from Rumpke to my house to look at what needed to be done. The majority of the time he was there, Jacob was showing Joe what needed to be done; etc. It wasn't until I pointed out that he should be working that Jacob went back to work. He starts to pack up around noon, and I stopped him. Jacob gave me an excuse about problems with the company, staffing, etc. Jacob started making repairs in 7 of my rooms. Walls are torn up, drop clothes are down, and furniture is pulled away from the walls. When they came back, he brought help and did do some more work. They left; none of the rooms in my house are finished. I sent a e-mail with photos to the owner of the company. He replied saying "they were there for x amount of hours", and he expects me to pay $30/hr (plus materials) to finish what they started., which is at cost, according to the owner. He was very rude and dismissive, and I don't appreciate it. I would much rather have them start and finish work in 2 rooms instead of tear up 7 and leave them unfinished. One of the 7 rooms was finished, but the rest are still a mess. I wish the communication had started out better from the beginning, with an estimate and them telling me what they could get done in 4 hours instead of having 7 rooms left a complete mess, and potentially being out even more money to get the work finished. I'm expecting guests for Easter, and I'm not really sure what I'm going to do. I had other projects I was planning to have them come do, had this worked out. I never got either of the estimates, for drywall, or additional work. They were going to build and entertainment center.

    Gillespie Drywall Inc
We were very pleased with the work done by Gillespie Drywall. Charles Gillespie was prompt in providing an estimate for the services and in performing them. Mr. Gillespie and an assistant performed all of the work in two consecutive half days. They brought all of the tools and materials they needed and completely cleaned up all work areas on both days. They covered the floor and adjacent areas with plastic as needed to minimize the potential mess from plaster and dust. Mr. Gillespie walked me through the five work areas mid-way through the work and on completion to ensure that I was satisfied with their work. The quality of the work they performed was excellent. They did a good job of matching textures in the two ceilings they repaired and on the two garage walls.

    Chris Bennett Contractor
Chris was awesome, he works long hours and he does a great job on everything he touches.. He was working when I left for work and still working when I came home. I can't say enough about him. We plan on using him again this winter and would recommend him to any friends or family. I believe our neighbor is starting to use him as well.

    Pierson Professional Painting
Wonderful!! Never having seen my kitchen and the crack needing repair, he was very positive about being able to fix it...and he did.  He ran into some other unexpected problems but he overcame them all beautifully. James is an excellent painter and a great repair person. He's positive and clever about fixing things. He's honest and sincerely wants to do great work....and he does. He also has an excellent assistant who is as polite as James. A wonderful experience from start to finish.  In fact, I've asked him back for an estimate to paint my house.

    Classy Craftsmen
Run, don't walk, away from this company! Save yourself a whole lot of trouble and choose someone else.
I had great expectations from the beginning of the job. The men showed up on time and seemed ready to go to work. They even picked up some supplies on their way. However, once work began, it turned into a nightmare!
They were there to hang drywall, which they did. But they did a terrible job of it. The drywall they hung wound up with cracks and creases all over it, so it will have to be re-done.
The worst part, though, was that they did not protect my property during the job and the company refuses to take responsibility. I had just put in a new fiberglass bathtub less than six months ago and they did not cover it with anything to protect it during work. One guy was standing on the edge of the tub to hang drywall on the ceiling and cracked the edge of the tub. I was standing nearby when it happened and heard the loud crack and the guy said "uh oh." We both saw the damage right then. At least the worker owned up to what he did. But the owner of the company refuses to reimburse me for the damage. They also marred the finish in several places on the tub.
The other worker on the two-man team was not so forth-coming, however. The next day they were back to do more work and I noticed that he came downstairs to shut the water off to the house. I didn't think anything of it at the time. I thought it was just a normal precaution. I found out after they left that the worker had damaged one of my copper supply lines to the shower and didn't tell me that there was a leak. The owner of the company, Dave Beck, will not take responsibility for that either.
To top it all off, that evening I went to the basement to grab my tile saw to do some tile work and noticed that it had been stolen that same day. I had to file a police report for a stolen RotoZip saw ($100 value) and a stolen tabletop wet tile saw ($75 value). Of course, no one at Classy Craftsmen is owning up to this either.
Do *not* even think of hiring this company. Learn from my misfortune, please. I am trying to get my money back right now, but who knows.

    Robert Sullivan Painting
Robert and his partner Jerry were the ultimate professionals. I called Robert and he came out the next day and game me an estimate. His price was very competitive and better than most. From talking to Robert I knew right away from the details that he was going over that he understood what we were looking for. Once we agreed on the job and I signed the contract he started in two days. Robert started on time every day and he kept us informed of the progress at the end of every day. They also did a great job of cleaning up at the end of every day. This project took 2-3 weeks and included coordination with other contractors. Robert and Jerry not only exceeded out expectations on the work we agreed on he did some additional work for us at no charge. I highly recommend Robert and Jerry and plan on using them again in the future.
