ANew Horizon Septic & ExcavatingThis is my first home with a septic system. After a week of rain and heavy thunderstorm, one part of the septic field bubbled up. New Horizon came out the next morning. Finding the whole yard saturated with rain water and no visible septic leak, they advised me to switch fields and let the system recovery. Since then the system is working properly. They did not charge me for the visit and advise. They were very professional and helpful to this homeowner. If problems do reappear I will be calling them.- Karen L.

AZaring Septic & Drain Service, Inc.We sold that house and the people who bought it had a septic evaluation. They wanted about $6000 to do some modifications to the septic system. They wanted us to pay for it. We paid Zaring to come out and review everything that they had quoted and have them re quote it. We paid them to do it and it was a very good experience. They quoted $2400 versus $5900 for the same work. We are closing next week and we are giving them the allotment so that they can have the work done. They just came out and quoted what it would cost to get done. We did pay them to come out, they charge a service trip. He came out that day and gave a quote that day. I was very happy. AIt went excellent. Although my granddaughter knew little about Home Inspections and Radon Testing beforehand, Kerry explained exactly what he was doing and what the results meant. Not only did he provide an excellent oral explanation, Kerry's written report identified all areas, displaying pictures of such along with clear identification and problems. With his detail of the written report, you are able to go back and verify your complete understanding; his report provides a detailed checklist you can use while you have problem areas corrected. I would not hesitate to use Kerry again or refer others to use his services! His prices are most reasonable as they are in consideration of square feet being inspected.

AOur water heater went out and we had to get a new one. We talked to several plumbers and settled on ASI--a fortunate choice. They came right out and even gave me a quote over the phone. When Steve got here, it turned out the heater they brought was the wrong size, because I didn't know size made a difference. He immediately went to go get the right one, but he realized after further investigation we couldn't have a gas heater at all--the CO2 pipe just wouldn't vent right in the small space we have to put the heater in. Now we had to get an electric heater AND a dedicated circuit for it. Ben at ASI recommended an electrician (who was great) and poor Steve came back a THIRD time without complaint. On the morning when he was finally able to install the heater, Steve was early (which was great) and efficient. He finished before he had originally said he would, even after telling me about a leaky valve in our basement, and fixing it for a reasonable fee. In fact, the whole job was half the price of some of the other plumbers I got estimates from. Steve wore his mask at all times and patiently explained everything to me--both of which I really appreciated. ASI is our go-to plumber from now on.

FDelta Van Lines was a terrible experience. They are brokers and don't let them tell you differently. My sales person, Natalie, was quite nice until I started having problems. Then she would not return my calls. She promised me that they used their own trucks and drivers ( except upon rare occasion ) . Not true. My pick up was "Big Boy Moving." Four guys in which one was on the phone the entire time, one was skyping in the bedroom with the doors closed and the other two were working. The head guy immediately told me there would be an extra $300 for a long haul and $150 for a bulk shipment. I had told Natalie the elevator was right there next to the loading dock at my apartment. She said no problem, no long haul charge. The bulk charge, I never did understand and they really couldn't explain it . When I called Natalie while this guy was trying to collect this money, she said and I quote "Well I will never use them again.". She said she would call me back and that's the last I heard from her. I was stuck. I ended up calling Big Boy Movers and they had no answers either. Before the movers were done, they came right out and asked me for a tip. Of course I gave it to them, they had my stuff. But they literally asked me. This was the most unprofessional experience I have had moving. I have written an email to the manager Joshban Molina who has never responded. Natalie stopped communicating the minute she had my money. The only good thing that happened was that they were on time. I do not recommend this company at all. Besides the rudeness of the actual movers, there was no support from the company I had hired, Delta Van Lines. They could have cared less.

AMary Anne is amazing. She found bat droppings in the attic. That alone saved us $3000 in repairs. Bat droppings are a health hazard and had to be removed (along with insulation) from the attic. She is very thorough and spent over 5 hours inspecting the house. She allowed us to walk with her and educated us on what repairs to fix now versus in the future. As first time homeowners, this was invaluable information.
